ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಎನ್‌ಐಟಿಐ) ತನ್ನ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ರಕ್ತ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮೇ 27, 2026 ರಂದು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ತನ್ನ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ.

ಈಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವು ಸತತ 9 ನೇ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಳವಾದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:20 ಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಪಿಎಂಜೆಎಫ್ ಲಯನ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ 317 ಸಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಪ್ನಾ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ನೀತಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ತನ್ನ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಘಟಕದ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಾರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ರೂ. 30,000/- ಬೆಲೆಯ ಹೊಸ ವಾಟರ್ ಕೂಲರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ (ರಿ) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ ಶಾಂತಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ರಕ್ತದಾನವು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶುದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಠಲ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಶೇಡಿಕೋಡ್ಲು, ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಗಣ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಪುರಾಣಿಕ್, ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಚ್‌ಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಇತರ ನಾಯಕರು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಸುಂದರ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ದಾನಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, NITI ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದರು.

ವಾತಾವರಣವು ಉದಾರತೆ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ರೆಡ್‌ಕ್ರಾಸ್‌ನ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಂಡವು ದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವುದನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿತು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಕರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಕ್ತವು ಜೀವನದ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ಇದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ರಕ್ತದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕಿಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್, ನ್ಯೂ ವಾಟರ್ ಕೂಲರ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಬ್ಲಡ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್‌ಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಪ್ರೊ. ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಕ್ರಮಧಾರಿ ಅವರು, ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ನೀತಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಕೇವಲ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯೂ ಸೇರಿದೆ….!

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಿಗಳು, ಸಂಘಟಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.

‘ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ – ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ.’ ಎಂಬ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಂದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.

Blood Donation Camp Held at National ITI, Barkur.

The National Industrial Training Institute (NITI), Barkur once again upheld its noble tradition of service to humanity by organizing a Blood Donation Camp on 27th May 2026 in its campus, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Kundapur and Lions Club Barkur.

This camp, now a regular and meaningful annual initiative of the institution, for the consecutive 9th year reflected the institute’s deep commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare.

The short stage programme commenced at 10:20 AM with invoking Almighty Lord blessings and inaugural ceremony, by lighting the traditional oil lamp. The camp was formally inaugurated by PMJF Lion Ms Sapna Suresh, District Governor, District 317C, who lauded the efforts of NITI Barkur for consistently promoting the life-saving cause of blood donation. She also handed over a New Water Cooler costing Rs 30,000/- generously sponsored by the Lions Club under initiative of its Barkur unit.

The event was presided over by Sri B Shantharam Shetty, President of The Barkur Educational Society (R), who emphasized that donating blood is one of the purest acts of humanity, capable of saving countless lives.

Distinguished guests including Mr Vittal Shetty Shedikodlu, Vice President BES, Mr S. Jayakar Shetty Indian Red Cross Society Kundapura, Mr Ashok Kumar Shetty Secretary of BES appreciated the students initiative to come forward to donate blood and NITI for encouraging them.
Mr Sathyanarayan Puranik, Prof Shrinivas Shetty, Mr Udaya Shetty HM and other leaders of Lions Club Barkur, Mr Archibald Furtado Admin coordinator of National Institutions, graced the beautiful occasion and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of donors.

A large number of students, staff of NITI and local volunteers came forward with great zeal and compassion to donate blood.
The atmosphere was filled with a spirit of generosity, unity, and service. The medical team from the Red Cross, Kundapura ensured that the donation process was carried out smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Speaking on the occasion, on behalf of the organizers the President of Lions Club Barkur Mr Praveen Shetty in his welcome speech, highlighted that every drop of blood donated is a gift of life, reinforcing the importance of such camps in addressing the constant need for blood in hospitals.

While thanking profusely the Lion’s Club, for New Water Cooler Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Kundapura, for providing First Aid kits, the BES Management for it’s constant support, the principal Prof Venkatesh Kramadhari observed that the success of the camp once again proved that NITI Barkur is not just an institution of technical education, but also a centre of social commitment and humanitarian values, with the involvement of students and collogues….!

The programme concluded with a note of gratitude to all donors, organizers, and supporting institutions, with a strong message:
‘Donate Blood – Save Lives.’

ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ : ಮಾವಿನನಾಡು ಎಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕೋಲಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್‌ ಮೂಲದ ಅಪರೂಪದ ‘ಮಾಯ’ ತಳಿಯ ಮಾವಿನ ಹಣ್ಣು ವಿಶೇಷ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊಗಲಗೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಮಾವು ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸಿಹಿತನ, ಸುವಾಸನೆ ಮತ್ತು ರುಚಿಯಿಂದ ರೈತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ ಮಾವು ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ 2016ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿದೇಶಿ ತಳಿಗಳ ಮಾವಿನ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನೆಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಮಾಯ’ ತಳಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಗುಣಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಿತು. ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಸಸಿಗಳು ಇದೀಗ ಫಲ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಂತ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಸಲು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಾವು ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಎಂ. ಲಾವಣ್ಯ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ತಳಿಯ ಮರಗಳು ಸುಮಾರು ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಿಹಿತನ, ರುಚಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುವಾಸನೆ ಇತರೆ ತಳಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಂದಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

‘ಮಾಯ’ ತಳಿಯ ಮಾವಿನ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಇಳುವರಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ. ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಬಾದಾಮಿ ತಳಿಗಿಂತ ಉತ್ತಮ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಜ್ಞರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಹಣ್ಣು ಕೆಜಿಗೆ ₹100ರಿಂದ ₹500ರವರೆಗೆ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಕೆಜಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಫಸಲು ಸಿಗುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.

ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ದರ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ರೈತರು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಹೊಸ ತಳಿಯತ್ತ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ ಭಾಗದ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಈ ತಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ‘ಮಾಯ’ ಮಾವು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್‌ ಮೂಲದ ಈ ತಳಿ ಸದ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಇತರೆ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಈ ತಳಿಯ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

ಹೊಸ ತಳಿಯ ಮಾವಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ರೈತರು, ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದು, ‘ಮಾಯ’ ಮಾವು ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಗುರುತಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ : ರೈತರ ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೊಸ ಟೌನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ಗಳ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ರೈತ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಧೋರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾಂತ ರೈತ ಸಂಘ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಖಂಡಿಸಿದೆ ಪ್ರಾಂತ ರೈತ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪಿ.ಆರ್.ಸೂರ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಎಂದರು.
ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪ್ರಾಂತ ರೈತ ಸಂಘದ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ತುರ್ತು ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

​ರಾಮನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬಿಡದಿ ಹೋಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಡುವ ಭೈರಮಂಗಲ ಮತ್ತು ಕಂಚುಗಾರನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಕಂದಾಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಸುಮಾರು 9,640 ಎಕರೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ‘ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು’ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೊಸ ಟೌನ್‌ಶಿಪ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಕಳೆದ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 2026 ರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

​​ರೈತರ ಇಚ್ಛೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ದಮನಕಾರಿ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕೈಬಿಡಬೇಕು. ಈ ಧರಣಿಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾಂತ ರೈತ ಸಂಘವು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಜನಹೋರಾಟವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

​ಮೇ 29ರಂದು ಬಿಡದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಮಾವೇಶ
​ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಮೇ 29ನೇ ತಾರೀಖಿನಂದು ಬಿಡದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ರೈತ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಾದ ಕೋಲಾರ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ, ತುಮಕೂರು, ಹಾಸನ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ಎಂಟು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೈತರು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಎನ್.ಎನ್. ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ ಸಹಸ್ರಾರು ರೈತರ ಈ ಸಮಾವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿಲಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಪಾತಕೋಟೆ ನವೀನ್, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಜಿ.ಮಂಜುಳ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶಿವರಾಜ್‌ಕುಮಾರ್ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಬಸ್ರೂರು: ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಮೇ 26 ರ ದಿನಾಂಕದಂದು ಬಸ್ರೂರು ಚರ್ಚನ್ನು ಸಂತ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ನೇರಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ, ಪೋಷಕ ಸಂತ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ನೇರಿಯವರ ಹಬ್ಬದಂದು ಭಕ್ತಿಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಜರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಫಾದರ್ ರೋಶನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೆನಸ್ ಇವರ ಮುಂದಾಳ್ತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಂತ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ನೇರಿಯವರು ಆದರ್ಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಅಪಾರ,ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ನೇರಿ ಅವರು 1515 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟಲಿಯ ಫ್ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಚಿಕ್ಕ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಬಲಾಯದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು.ಯುವಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ರೋಮ್‌ಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬಡವರ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದರು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಧರ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಫಾದರ್ ರೋಯ್ ಲೋಬೊ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಫಾದರ್ ಡೆನ್ಸಿ ಸುನೀಲ್ ಮಾರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಬಲಿ ಪೂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು ಸೇವಾ ಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಅಪಾರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಧರ್ಮ ಬಾಂಧವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು ಮೊಂಬತ್ತಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರು.

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪದುವಾ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ 22-05-2026 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಪ್ ವಾಲಿಬಾಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಪ್ರಿ-ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಾಲಿಬಾಲ್ ತಂಡವು ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ.

ತಂಡವು ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಮನ್ವಯ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ತಂದಿತು.

ಉಡುಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಸನ ತಂಡಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಅಂತಿಮ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಉಡುಪಿ ತಂಡವು ಹಾಸನ ತಂಡವನ್ನು 25–18 ಮತ್ತು 25–20 ಅಂಕಗಳಿಂದ ಸೋಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಜಯಶಾಲಿಯಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ., ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಾಲಿಬಾಲ್ ತಂಡದ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

Milagres PU College Women’s Team Clinches State Level Summer Cup Volleyball Title

The Women’s Volleyball Team of Milagres Pre-University College achieved remarkable success by securing first place in the State Level Summer Cup Volleyball Tournament held on 22-05-2026 at Padua PU College, Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada District.
The team displayed excellent coordination, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament and brought great pride to the institution with their outstanding performance.
In the final match between the Udupi and Hassan teams, the Udupi team emerged victorious by defeating the Hassan team with scores of 25–18 and 25–20.
On this proud occasion, the College Management, Principal Rev. Fr. Melwin Mendonca S.J., staff members, and students congratulated the Women’s Volleyball Team on their achievement and wished them continued success in future tournaments.

ಮೇ 24 ರ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಮಿನಿ ಹಾಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿದಾನ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಘಟಕವು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ದಿನ 2026 ಅನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗರೇಟ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ನಿಯೋಜಿತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಟೋಲ್ಬರ್ಟ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಐಪಿಪಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಆದರೆ ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಿಲ್ಮಾ ರೇಗೊ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಹತ್ತನೇ ಮತ್ತು ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ವಿಜೇತರಾದ ರೂಬೆನ್ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಮತ್ತು ರಿಯಾನಾ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಜೋಶಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕಲ್ ನೈಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೋಪಲ್ ಆರ್ಡಿನೇಷನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ICYM ಮತ್ತು YCS ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗುರ್ಕರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಅರಾನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಡಯೋಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಉನ್ನತ ಘಟಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಘಟಕದ ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕ್ಲಾರಾ ರೇಗೊ ಅವರ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಮೀಳಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

Catholic Sabha Day Celebrated at Mount Rosary Church

Mount Rosary Church Catholic Sabha Unit celebrated Catholic Sabha Day 2026 with enthusiasm on Sunday, 24th May, after the 8:00 a.m. Mass in the Mini Hall.
The programme began with a breakfast fellowship followed by invocation. President Mr. Archibald Furtado welcomed the gathering and highlighted the role of Catholic Sabha in promoting faith, unity, and social responsibility. Dignitaries including Parish Priest Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, Diocesan President Mr. Melwyn Aranha, and others were honoured.
Secretary Ms. Margaret D’Souza presented the annual report. President Designate Mr. Tolbert D’Souza and IPP Mr. Elias D’Souza outlined future plans, while Treasurer Ms. Wilma Rego presented the budget.
Eighteen students who excelled in Class X and XII exams were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes. Konkani essay winners Reuben D’Mello and Riyana D’Mello were also honoured.
ICYM and YCS members were recognized for their service during the Joshal D’Souza Musical Nite and Episcopal Ordination events. Ward Gurkars were also appreciated.
Chief Guest Mr. Melwyn Aranha commended the unit’s unity and contributions, noting its position among the top units in the Diocese.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Clara Rego. Ms. Pramila D’Souza compeered the event.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಕ್ಸೇವಿಯರ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಪರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸಂವಹನ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಅವರು, ತಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಢಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಾವಲೋಕನ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.

Milagres College Welcomes New Correspondent with Hope and Inspiration

A warm and graceful welcome programme was organised at Milagres College Kallianpur to officially welcome the newly appointed Correspondent, Msgr. Very Rev. Fr. Francis Xavier Lewis, Correspondent of Milagres Institutions, Kallianpur.

The programme began with a cordial welcome address delivered by Mrs. Shylet Mathias, IQAC Coordinator, who warmly welcomed the gathering and the new Correspondent to the institution. Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of the college, formally introduced the newly appointed Correspondent and highlighted his valuable contributions, leadership qualities, and commitment towards education and society. He expressed that the appointment of the new Correspondent brings new hopes, fresh energy, and a renewed vision for the growth and progress of the institution.

Addressing the students and faculty members, Msgr. Very Rev. Fr. Francis Xavier Lewis began his speech on a friendly and inspiring note. Interacting warmly with the students, he encouraged them to identify their future dreams and work with dedication and determination to achieve them. He emphasised the importance of self-reflection, confidence, and values in shaping a meaningful future and motivated the students to pursue their aspirations with positivity and commitment.

The event was conducted in a dignified and vibrant manner, bringing together faculty members and staff in a spirit of unity and celebration. The overall programme was efficiently compered by Ms. Chaithra, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who guided the proceedings smoothly and engagingly.

“ಈ ನವೀಕರಿಸಲಾದ ಒಪ್ಪಂದವು ಈಗಿರುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವೇತನ ಪ್ಯಾಕೇಜ್ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ ವಿಮಾ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Bank of Baroda Renews MoU with Karnataka State Police with Enhanced Benefits under Salary Package

Bengaluru, [21.05.2026] – Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka State Police, reinforcing its long-standing partnership by introducing enhanced benefits under the exclusive salary package for police personnel.
The MoU was formally signed at Karnataka State Police Head Quarters, Bengaluru in the august presence of, Dr M A Saleem, IPS, DG &IG of Police, HoPF and Shri Anil Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, Bank of Baroda, Bengaluru Zone. The MoU was signed by Shri T. Sreedhara, IPS, DIG of Police (HQs), Karnataka State Police, and Smt Venkataramani Sri Poorna, DGM, Bank of Baroda, Bengaluru Zone, in the presence of  Smt. Key Highlights of the Enhanced Package are Life Insurance Cover of ₹10 lakhs, Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), ₹125 lakhs (Death – on/off duty), ₹125 lakhs (Permanent Total Disability), ₹62.5 lakhs (Permanent Partial Disability), Pensioners: PAI cover up to ₹75 lakhs, Family Pensioners: Flat PAI cover of ₹37.5 lakhs, Lifetime Free Cards of Yoddha RuPay Debit Card with ₹10 lakh PAI cover, Vikram Credit Card with ₹20 lakh PAI cover (No annual/issuance/re-issuance fees), 100% waiver on processing charges for retail loans including housing, auto, education, mortgage, and personal loans
