ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಎನ್ಐಟಿಐ) ತನ್ನ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ರಕ್ತ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮೇ 27, 2026 ರಂದು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ತನ್ನ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ.
ಈಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವು ಸತತ 9 ನೇ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಳವಾದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:20 ಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಪಿಎಂಜೆಎಫ್ ಲಯನ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ 317 ಸಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಪ್ನಾ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ನೀತಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ತನ್ನ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಘಟಕದ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಾರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ರೂ. 30,000/- ಬೆಲೆಯ ಹೊಸ ವಾಟರ್ ಕೂಲರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ (ರಿ) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ ಶಾಂತಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ರಕ್ತದಾನವು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶುದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಠಲ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಶೇಡಿಕೋಡ್ಲು, ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಗಣ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಪುರಾಣಿಕ್, ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಚ್ಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಇತರ ನಾಯಕರು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಸುಂದರ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ದಾನಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, NITI ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದರು.
ವಾತಾವರಣವು ಉದಾರತೆ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ರೆಡ್ಕ್ರಾಸ್ನ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಂಡವು ದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವುದನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಕರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಕ್ತವು ಜೀವನದ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ಇದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ರಕ್ತದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕಿಟ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಲಯನ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್, ನ್ಯೂ ವಾಟರ್ ಕೂಲರ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಬ್ಲಡ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಪ್ರೊ. ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಕ್ರಮಧಾರಿ ಅವರು, ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ನೀತಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಕೇವಲ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯೂ ಸೇರಿದೆ….!
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಿಗಳು, ಸಂಘಟಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
‘ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ – ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ.’ ಎಂಬ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಂದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
Blood Donation Camp Held at National ITI, Barkur.
The National Industrial Training Institute (NITI), Barkur once again upheld its noble tradition of service to humanity by organizing a Blood Donation Camp on 27th May 2026 in its campus, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Kundapur and Lions Club Barkur.
This camp, now a regular and meaningful annual initiative of the institution, for the consecutive 9th year reflected the institute’s deep commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare.
The short stage programme commenced at 10:20 AM with invoking Almighty Lord blessings and inaugural ceremony, by lighting the traditional oil lamp. The camp was formally inaugurated by PMJF Lion Ms Sapna Suresh, District Governor, District 317C, who lauded the efforts of NITI Barkur for consistently promoting the life-saving cause of blood donation. She also handed over a New Water Cooler costing Rs 30,000/- generously sponsored by the Lions Club under initiative of its Barkur unit.
The event was presided over by Sri B Shantharam Shetty, President of The Barkur Educational Society (R), who emphasized that donating blood is one of the purest acts of humanity, capable of saving countless lives.
Distinguished guests including Mr Vittal Shetty Shedikodlu, Vice President BES, Mr S. Jayakar Shetty Indian Red Cross Society Kundapura, Mr Ashok Kumar Shetty Secretary of BES appreciated the students initiative to come forward to donate blood and NITI for encouraging them.
Mr Sathyanarayan Puranik, Prof Shrinivas Shetty, Mr Udaya Shetty HM and other leaders of Lions Club Barkur, Mr Archibald Furtado Admin coordinator of National Institutions, graced the beautiful occasion and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of donors.
A large number of students, staff of NITI and local volunteers came forward with great zeal and compassion to donate blood.
The atmosphere was filled with a spirit of generosity, unity, and service. The medical team from the Red Cross, Kundapura ensured that the donation process was carried out smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Speaking on the occasion, on behalf of the organizers the President of Lions Club Barkur Mr Praveen Shetty in his welcome speech, highlighted that every drop of blood donated is a gift of life, reinforcing the importance of such camps in addressing the constant need for blood in hospitals.
While thanking profusely the Lion’s Club, for New Water Cooler Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Kundapura, for providing First Aid kits, the BES Management for it’s constant support, the principal Prof Venkatesh Kramadhari observed that the success of the camp once again proved that NITI Barkur is not just an institution of technical education, but also a centre of social commitment and humanitarian values, with the involvement of students and collogues….!
The programme concluded with a note of gratitude to all donors, organizers, and supporting institutions, with a strong message:
‘Donate Blood – Save Lives.’
