ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಜುಲೈ 7, 2025 – ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಚನಾ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಚೇಂಬರ್ ಆಫ್ ಕಾಮರ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿ, ಜೂನ್ 29, 2025 ರಂದು ಬೆಂದೋರ್ನ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಸೆಬಾಸ್ಟಿಯನ್ ಪ್ಲಾಟಿನಂ ಜುಬಿಲಿ ಹಾಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ “ಅಮ್ಚಿ ಕನೆಕ್ಟ್” ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿತು. “ನನ್ನ ಸಂಘ, ನನ್ನ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ.
ರಚನಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ ಬಿ. ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ ಅವರು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು: ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು. ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಭೆಯು ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಅವಕಾಶವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನಾ ಅವರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ವಲಸೆ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು, ಸಕಾಲಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವಭಾವಿ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದರು.
ರಚನದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ.ಆರ್. ಲೋಬೊ ಅವರು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುವ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಭಾವೋದ್ರಿಕ್ತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವಾಗ, ಸಮುದಾಯದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ಇತರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯುವಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ವಲಸೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ.ಆರ್. ಲೋಬೊ ಕಳವಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲು ತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದರು. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್, ಹಣಕಾಸು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟಿಂಗ್ನಂತಹ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹೊಸ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುವ, ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಜಾಲವನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ರಚನ ಅವರ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಡಯೋಸಿಸ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೆಟ್ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ.ಆರ್. ಲೋಬೊ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ರಚನದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮಾರ್ಸೆಲ್ ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ ಮತ್ತು ಗಿಲ್ಬರ್ಟ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಣತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದೊಳಗಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ರಚನಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕಳವಳಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲು ಒಂದು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು. ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಪೈಸ್, ಕಾಲಿನ್ ಮಿರಾಂಡಾ, ಸುನಿಲ್ ವಾಸ್, ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ, ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಅಲ್ವಾರೆಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಜೆಸ್ಸಿಕಾ ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಯುಲಾಲಿಯಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಎ ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವಿನಾ ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ವಿಜಯ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. “ಆಮ್ಚಿ ಕನೆಕ್ಟ್” ಸಭೆಯು ರಚನಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬೆಂಬಲ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಮಾನ್ಸೂನ್ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭೋಜನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
“AMCHI CONNECT”: a unique meet of Rachana
Mangaluru, July 7, 2025 ; The Rachana Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mangaluru, successfully convened its “Amchi Connect” Members Meet on June 29, 2025, at St. Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall, Bendore. The event, held under the theme “My Association, My Responsibility,” focused on revitalizing the organization’s mission and fostering youth entrepreneurship within the Catholic community.
Rachana President, Mr. John B. Monteiro commenced the program by emphasizing the organization’s foundational vision: supporting entrepreneurs and fostering collaboration among members. He highlighted the meet as a crucial opportunity for members to connect, urging a collective effort to strengthen Rachana’s role in the current economic landscape and serve as a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs. He also stressed the urgent need for the Catholic Church to support youth in pursuing self-employment opportunities locally and across India. He cautioned that continued migration to Western countries would lead to future challenges, advocating for timely evaluation and proactive steps.
Mr. J.R. Lobo, a founder member of Rachana and former MLA, delivered a passionate address, reflecting on the initial aspirations for transforming the Catholic community. While acknowledging progress, he underscored the community’s ongoing economic challenges, drawing comparisons with the economic strength of other communities. Mr. J. R. Lobo expressed concern over the trend of youth migrating after completing their studies, advocating for strategies to encourage them to establish local businesses. He emphasized the importance of guiding young entrepreneurs in crucial areas such as banking, financing, and marketing. He also highlighted Rachana’s potential to motivate new entrepreneurs, support existing investors, and effectively leverage its global network. Mr. J. R. Lobo further stressed the necessity of engaging local parishes and networking with other dioceses and organizations for collective success.
Former Rachana presidents Marcel Monteiro and Gilbert D’Souza shared their insights on the organization’s role and scope in its continued growth. Mr. Michael D’Souza who joined as a guest for the program urged Rachana to share its expertise with the next generation and establish a crisis management team to assist entrepreneurs in need within the community.
The session provided a valuable platform for members to raise questions and voice concerns. Members including George Pais, Colin Miranda, Sunil Vas, Vincent Cutinha, Stany Alvares, and Dr. Jessica Monteiro actively participated, sharing their perspectives.
Ms. Eulalia D’Souza, convenor of the program, and CA Vikram Saldanha efficiently conducted the event. Mrs. Lavina Monteiro led the opening prayers, and Secretary Vijay Lobo delivered the vote of thanks. The “Amchi Connect” meet successfully served as a vital platform for Rachana members to strategize on revitalizing the organization and empowering the next generation of Catholic entrepreneurs through mentorship and comprehensive support systems. The event concluded with a sumptuous monsoon special dinner.
