ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ; ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಜೂನ್ 21, 2026 ರಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದಾಗ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಸಭೆಗಾಗಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿತು.
ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ।ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಆಚರಿಸಿದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಬಲಿದಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಿನವು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಂದೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.
ತಂದೆಯರು ಸ್ವತಃ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು, ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಸಭೆಯು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಿಲೇನಿಯಮ್ ಆಡಿಟೋರಿಯಂಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೊವಿಟಾ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಗಾಯಕವೃಂದದ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಂದೆಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ತಂದೆಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ನೋಟವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಇಂದಿನ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯರ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಐರೀನ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರು ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರ ಹಾಕುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಧ್ಯುಕ್ತ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಇದರ ನಂತರ ಪಿತೃತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಶಿಶು, ಹದಿಹರೆಯದವರು, ಯುವಕರು, ಪುತ್ರರು ಮತ್ತು ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು, ಅಳಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸೊಸೆ, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ತಂದೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಜೀವನದ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು – ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬೆಳಗಿದ ಮೇಣದಬತ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗೀಯ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿಯ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಂಘಟಕರಾದ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವರಡೋದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ರೋಸಿ ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರೋಸ್ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ತಂದೆಗಳ ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಗಳವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ನೂರಾರು ಪಿತೃಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸಿದವು, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬದ್ಧತೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬದುಕಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದರು, ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ; 20ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ವಲೇರಿಯನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಮಾಜಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಲ್ಯೂಕ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ; ಯುವ ಐಕಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಉದಾರ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಜೇಸನ್ ಡಯಾಸ್, ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಉಡುಪಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಕರ್ನೆಲಿಯೊ, ಇತರ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಐರೀನ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಭಾಷಣವು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 40 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಮಿಳಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು – ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನ, ಯುವ ತರಬೇತುದಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ. ಅವರ ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಭಾಷಣವು ಆಧುನಿಕ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬ ರಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಅವರ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿತು. ತಂದೆಯರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುವಾಗ, ಅವರು ಸಮತೋಲಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ವಿಭಾಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ನಡೆದವು, ಇದು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತವಾಯಿತು.
ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗೆ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶಾಲು, ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಛ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಉದಾರ ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುಲಾಬಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ದಾನಿಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ವಿಲ್ಮಾ ರೇಗೊ ವಾಚಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಆಚರಣೆಯು 90 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಮನರಂಜನಾ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ 40 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕರು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹೆಣೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು, ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ನೊಳಗಿನ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹೆಣೆಯಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಹಾಡುಗಾರಿಕೆ, ನೃತ್ಯಗಳು, ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಿರು ನಾಟಕ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು,
ಉತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೆನ್ಹಸ್, ಸಿಎಸ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡ್ಯಾಶಿಂಗ್ ಎಂಟರ್ಟೈನರ್ ರೂಬೆನ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ತಂಡವು ಮೋಜಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಸ್ಪಾಟ್ ಆಟಗಳ ಸರಣಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿತು. ಈ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವು ಮತ್ತು ಮನರಂಜನೆ ನೀಡಿದವು, ಅನೇಕರು ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಡೆದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಸ್ಪಾಟ್ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳು, ಲಕ್ಕಿ ಡ್ರಾಗಳು, ಹರಾಜು ಮತ್ತು ಹೌಸಿ ಆಟವೂ ಸೇರಿತ್ತು, ಇದು ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮೋಜು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮಾರ್ಗರೇಟ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು, ಈ ಮೊದಲ ಫಾದರ್ಸ್ ಡೇ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅದ್ಧೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆಳವಾದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಿಲೈಟ್ನ ಅರುಣ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರಿಂದ ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಫೆಲೋಶಿಪ್ ಊಟದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
A Grand and Memorable Father’s Day Celebration at Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte Kallianpur.
Mount Rosary Church witnessed a historic and heartwarming occasion as the Catholic Sabha organised its first-ever Father’s Day Celebration on 21st June, 2026, bringing together fathers of all ages for a meaningful and joyful gathering.
The day began on a spiritual note with a Holy Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by the Parish Priest, Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza. His touching homily paid rich tributes to all the fathers in the parish irrespective of age….
The liturgy, beautifully led by the fathers themselves, added a profound significance to the celebration, highlighting their role as spiritual leaders within their families.
Following the Holy Mass, the gathering moved to the well-decorated Millennium Auditorium, where the programme commenced with a soulful prayer hymn by the Church Choir, led by Ms Jovita Fernandes, Mr Joe DSouza, Mr Santhosh DSilva and team, invoking God’s blessings on all fathers present.
Mr. Archibald Furtado, President of the Catholic Sabha, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and provided a brief glimpse into the significance of organising this first-of-its-kind Father’s Day celebration in the parish, emphasizing the need to honour and appreciate the invaluable role of fathers in today’s society.
The ceremonial inauguration was gracefully conducted by garlanding the portrait of St. Joseph by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Irene Rebello from Mangalore. This was followed by a touching and symbolic tribute to fatherhood.
Representatives from different walks of life—including an infant, teenager, youth, sons and daughters, son- and daughter-in-law, a spiritual father, and finally honouring the Heavenly Father—offered lighted candles around the portrait.
This meaningful segment was beautifully compered by dynamic organisor in former President of Catholic Sabha Mount Rosary Mr. Elias D’Souza, with heartfelt narratives by Mrs. Rosy Quadros, former Kallianpur Varado President, leaving a deep emotional impact on the audience.
In his inspiring message, Parish Priest Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza eloquently reflected on the identity and responsibilities of a father. His words resonated deeply with the hundreds of fathers gathered, encouraging them to live their vocation with commitment, love, and faith.
The programme was graced by several distinguished dignitaries on the dais, including very supportive Mrs. Priya Furtado, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mr. Valerian Fernandes, Convenor of the 20 Pastoral Commissions; former Vice President Parish pastoral council Mr. Luke D’Souza; youth icon and generous sponsor Mr. Jason Dias; former President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Mr. Santhosh Carnelio; along with other esteemed guests, all of whom shared their appreciation and encouragement.
A major highlight of the event was the insightful and captivating talk by Chief Guest Mrs. Irene Rebello, who spoke for nearly 40 minutes, she was introduced to the audience by Mrs Pramila Dsouza – a great career in social work, youth trainer and as a family Consultant. Her thought-provoking address reminded fathers of their unique identity and responsibilities in the modern, ever-changing family structure. While emphasizing the vital role of fathers, she also acknowledged the importance of mothers, presenting a balanced and holistic perspective. Her session concluded with a brief interactive segment, later followed by one-on-one discussions with participants, making it both engaging and enriching.
As a gesture of gratitude, the Parish Priest honoured the Chief Guest by draping a traditoonal shawl, bouquet and Mementos as well as the generous donors with roses in appreciation of their valuable contributions. The list of donors was read out by Treasurer Mrs. Wilma Rego.
The celebration then transitioned into a vibrant 90-minute entertainment extravaganza, featuring over 40 talented performers, wisely knitted into a wholesome package presented by Ms Margaret DSouza, CS Secretary and team. The audience was treated to a variety of performances including singing, dances, skits, and a short play, showcasing the rich cultural talents within the parish.
Adding to the excitement, a series of fun-filled spot games were conducted by Assistant Priest Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, CS Vice President dashing entertainer Mr. Reuben Rebello, and their cohesive team. These activities kept the fathers actively engaged and entertained, with many walking away with attractive prizes.
The programme also featured dozens of spot prizes, along with lucky draws, auction, and the ever-popular Housie game, which added an extra layer of fun and enthusiasm to the celebration.
Mrs. Margaret D’Souza, Secretary, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing deep appreciation to all those who contributed in making this maiden Father’s Day celebration a grand success.
The event concluded with a delicious fellowship lunch, by Mr Arun DSouza of Delite.
