ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 12: ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ನೊವೆನಾ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಒಂಬತ್ತನೇ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಜೂನ್ 12, 2026 ರಂದು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ, ಜೂನ್ 12 ರಂದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ದೋರ್ನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಗಂಭೀರವಾದ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಪೀಟರ್ಸ್ ಪಾಂಟಿಫಿಕಲ್ ಸೆಮಿನರಿಯ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಬ್ರಿಟ್ಟೊ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಡೇವಿಡ್ ಸಗಯರಾಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಪೆಡ್ರು ಕೂಡ ಇದ್ದರು.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿದಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯದ ನೊವೆನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಭಕ್ತರು ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್. ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ಮಾದರಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಭರವಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಬ್ರಿಟ್ಟೊ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಭಕ್ತರ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ಗೌರವಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನೊವೆನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಗುರುತಾಗಿ ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಸಮಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಯಿತು.
ನೊವೆನಾ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಜೂನ್ 13 ರಂದು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿರುವ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಯಾತ್ರಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲು ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾ ಈಗ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿನದ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಗಳು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 5:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ದಿನವಿಡೀ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್, ಎಸ್.ಜೆ. ಅವರು ಆಚರಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷನರ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಆಹ್ವಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Ninth and Final Day of Novena Devotion Preceding the Annual Feast of St. Anthony Held at Dornahalli, Mysuru
Mysuru, June 12: The ninth and final day of the Novena devotion in preparation for the grand Annual Feast of St. Anthony was solemnly celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysuru.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Richard Britto, Rector, St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bengaluru. He was joined by Rev. Fr. David Sagayaraj, Rector of St. Anthony’s Basilica, and Rev. Fr. Praveen Pedru, Administrator of the Basilica.
A large number of devotees gathered at the Basilica to participate in the Holy Mass and the concluding Novena prayers. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Richard Britto encouraged the faithful to continue living a life of faith, hope, and service, inspired by the example of St. Anthony.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the Novena prayers were offered in honour of St. Anthony for the intentions of the devotees. The devotion concluded with the Procession of the Holy Statue of St. Anthony and the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, marking the successful completion of the nine-day spiritual preparation for the Annual Feast.
With the conclusion of the Novena, all preparations for the Annual Feast of St. Anthony have been completed. The Basilica is now ready to welcome thousands of pilgrims and devotees expected to participate in the feast celebrations on June 13.
The feast-day Masses will commence from 5:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day. The Solemn Festive Mass at 10:00 a.m. will be celebrated by Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao, S.J., Bishop of Mysore.
The clergy, religious, parishioners, and feast committee have extended a warm invitation to all devotees to participate in the Annual Feast celebrations and seek the blessings and intercessions.
