ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಜೂನ್ 5 ರಂದು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ, ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿಯ ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷನರ್ಗಳು ಹೊಸ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ, ಒಸಿಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ ಒಸಿಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಫಾದರ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚ್ನ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪಿಪಿಸಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೊಸ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ, ಫಾದರ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊರಳು ಪಟ್ಟಿ, ಬೈಬಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯ ಕೀಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣ ವಿದಾಯ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರುತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ 3 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷನರ್ಗಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ನಂತರ ಸುಮಾರು 150 ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷನರ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲೈಟ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದರು. ಫಾ. ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ ಋಷಿವನಕ್ಕೆ, ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಸುಪೀರಿಯರ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಋಷಿವನವು ರಾಣಿಪುರ ಕುತ್ತಾರ್ನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ 70 ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳು, 2 ಚಾಪೆಲ್ಗಳು, 2 ಹಾಲ್ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಊಟದ ಹಾಲ್ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅರೇಬಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ, ನೇತ್ರಾವತಿ ನದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಹಸಿರು ಮರಗಳ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ಸುಂದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ.

Welcome and Farewell Ceremony at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi
On Friday June 5th, at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, the parishioners gave a warm welcome to the new parish priest Fr. Prakash D’cunha, Ocd, and they bid farewell to the outgoing parish priest Fr. Dominic Vas Ocd.
In a short ceremony Fr. Prakash D’cunha was welcomed at the entrance of the Church by Fr. Dominic Vas and the PPC members. Then during the ceremony in the Church presided over by Rev. Fr. Santosh Rodrigues, the Bishop’s Delegate, Fr. Prakash D’cunha was given the stole, Bible and the Blessed Sacrament keys as a symbol of taking over the responsibility of New Parish Priest.
At the end of the ceremony a small farewell function was organised to the outgoing Parish priest Fr. Dominic Vas. In the speech he thanked the parishioners for their love and cooperation during to last 3 years.
After the function around 150 parishioners and Carmelite priests accompanied Fr. Dominic Vas to Ryshivana, Christian Spirituality Centre, where he has been appointed as the New Superior and Director. Ryshivana, is situated at Ranipura Kuttar. A magnificent spirituality and retreat centre has been built there having 70 rooms, 2 Chapels, 2 halls and spacious dining hall. A beautiful scenery overlooking the Arabian Sea, Netravathi River and the green cluster of trees all around.
