ಕುಂದಾಪುರ : ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ 29.08.2025: ಯು.ಬಿ.ಎಂ.ಸಿ. ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 29, 2025 ರಂದು ದಂತಕಥೆಯಾದ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಹಾಕಿ ಆಟಗಾರ ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಸವಿತಾ ಮತ್ತು ವೀಣಾ, ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಸಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನಿತಾ ಆಲಿಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳಿಸಲಾಗದ ಛಾಪನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆಟಗಾರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡುವಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿರಲು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ವೀಣಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಸವಿತಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಭಾರತೀಯ ದಂತಕಥೆ ಆಟಗಾರರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಲಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾದರು.

Kundapura ,29.08.2025: U.B.M.C. English Medium School celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legend, Field Hockey player Major Dhyanchand, and honouring his legacy. A floral tribute was paid at the portrait of Major Dhyanchand. The Sports Club organised the event. The Sports Club teacher coordinators Savitha and Veena, along with the Sports Club student coordinators, conducted quizzes and speeches. Students showcased their drawings. The Principal, Smt.Anita Alice Dsouza in her Presidential address, explained the significance of the day and urged students to feel proud of all the good players who have left an indelible impression in the history of Indian sports and games and be active in sports and games. Veena teacher welcomed the gathering . Savitha teacher expressed the vote of thanks. Students actively participated in all the activities and showcased their budding talents and intelligence. Simultaneously, they felt highly inspired by learning about the life and achievements of Major Dhyanchand and other Indian legendary players.
