St. Francis Assisi Church, Tallur Grandparents’ Day Celebration
ತಲ್ಲೂರು ; ದಿನಾಂಕ 27 /07/2025 ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ತಲ್ಲೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯ ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ವಾಳೆವಾರು ಮೂಲಕ ತುಂಬಾ ವಿಜ್ರಂಬಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು
ಆ ಶುಭದಿನದಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 10 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾದರ್ ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಅಜ್ಜ-ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು
ತದನಂತರ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಆಯಾ ವಾರ್ಡಿನ ಗುರಿಕಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟೋಟ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಮನರಂಜನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಗೌರವ ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸವಿ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ನೆನಪಿನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಹಾಗೂ ದೊಡ್ಡವರು ಅವರಿಂದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆದರು. ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿ ವಾಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಜ್ಜ-ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ತಲ್ಲೂರು ಇಗರ್ಜಿಯ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಘು ಉಪಹಾರ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
St. Francis Assisi Church, Tallur Grandparents’ Day Celebration
Tallur; On Sunday, 27th July 2025, Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at St. Francis Assisi Church, Tallur. The event was organized with the active participation of all the church wards.
The celebration began at 10:00 a.m. with a solemn Holy Mass offered by Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza, the parish priest. During the Mass, a special prayer was offered for all the grandparents, acknowledging their invaluable presence and blessings in the family and community.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, various wards, under the guidance of their respective gurkars and representatives, conducted entertaining games and cultural programs for the grandparents. These activities were planned to bring joy and laughter and to create memorable moments for all the elderly participants.
As a mark of love and respect, mementos were presented to each grandparent. Children and adults alike had the opportunity to receive blessings from them. Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza visited each ward during the event, personally blessing and honoring all the grandparents present.A light breakfast was served at the program held at the Tallur Church auditorium.
