ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಕಾರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೀಟ್‌ನ ಬಿ.ಇ.ಎಂ. ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ (ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ), ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಇವರ ಜಂಟಿ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ **ಮಂಗಳೂರು ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿ–2026 **ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯ ಬಾಲಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ಎರಡೂ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಪಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ತನ್ನದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಅವಳಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ತೀವ್ರ ಪೈಪೋಟಿಯ ಫೈನಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ತಂಡವು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಆಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಚುರುಕಿನ ರೈಡಿಂಗ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿತು. ಬಾಲಕರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಆಟ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ತಂಡವು ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಣಿಸಿ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಪಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿತು.

ಈ ಅಮೋಘ ಸಾಧನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾಲಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ಎರಡೂ ತಂಡಗಳು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.

ಆಟಗಾರರ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ತಂಡಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಅವಳಿ ಗೆಲುವಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ವಾಸ್ ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ಐವನ್ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ವಾಸ್, ತರಬೇತುದಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆಕಾಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ದಿವಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ಬೋಧಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ವಿಜೇತ ಆಟಗಾರರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಗೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Mangaluru: Milagres Pre-University Collee, Mangaluru, created history by winning both the Boys’ and Girls’ Kabaddi Championships at the Mangalore Taluk-Level KabaddiTournament–2026, jointly organised by B.E.M. Pre-University College, Car Street, and the Department of School Education (Pre-University), Dakshina Kannada District.

By emerging champions in both categories, Milagres PU College registered a remarkable historic double victory.

In a fiercely contested girls’ final, the Milagres team displayed outstanding defensive skills, quick raids and excellent teamwork to clinch the championship. The boys’ team, too, produced a disciplined and spirited team performance, overcoming their opponents to secure the title.

With this outstanding achievement, both the Boys’ and Girls’ teams have qualified for the District-Level Kabaddi Championship.

The historic double victory is a result of the players’ discipline, hard work, team spirit and the dedicated guidance of their coaches. Principal Mr. Melwin Vas expressed his happiness and said that the students had brought immense pride and honour to Milagres PU College through their exceptional achievement.

The Correspondent of the College, Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Principal Mr. Melwin Vas, Coach Mr. Akash Shetty, Physical Education Director Mr. Divakar Shetty, members of the Management, teaching and non-teaching staff, and sports enthusiasts congratulated the victorious teams and wished them every success in the forthcoming District-Level Kabaddi Championship.
