ದಿನಾಂಕ 04-10-2025 ರಂದು ತಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅಸ್ಸಿಸಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಮುದಾಯದ ದಿನ”ವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವಿಜ್ರಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಂಜೆ 4.30 ಕ್ಕೆ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಪಿಆರ್ಒ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಆಯೋಗದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ತೊಟ್ಟಂ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಡೆನಿಸ್ ಡೇಸಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಾಗಿ ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.
ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಸಹಯಾಜಕರಾಗಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರವಚನದ ವೇಳೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರು ಯುವಕ–ಯುವತಿಯರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
“ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಷ್ಟ–ಕಾರ್ಪಣ್ಯಗಳು ಬಂದಾಗ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿ. ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಿ. ನೀವು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸಭೆಯ ಬಲವಾದ ಆಯುಧಗಳು. ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಾಶರಾಗಬೇಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಯ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ” ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಮಾತೆಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು.ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಡೆನಿಸ್ ಡೇಸಾ,, ಎನ್ಆರ್ಐ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸ, ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮಭಗಿನಿಯರು, ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಹಾಗೂ 20 ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಚರ್ಚಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ವಾಳೆಯ ಭಕ್ತರು ಬೈಬಲ್ ಆಧಾರಿತ ರೂಪಕಗಳು, ನೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶೋಭನೆ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಎನ್ಆರ್ಐ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸ ಅವರು 2023–2025ರ ಎನ್ಆರ್ಐ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಾಳೆಯ ಗುರಿಕಾರರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದವರುನ್ನು, ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವವರುನ್ನು ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ದಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಂಗೀತ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೂವಿನ ಅಲಂಕಾರ (ಫ್ಲವರ್ ಕಾರ್ಪೆಟ್) ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಕೋರಿದರು. 20 ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ರೆಕ್ಸ್ಟನ್ ರೆಬೆರೊ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಮಾರಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ಷಾ ರೆಬೆರೊ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಸುಮಾರು 400 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಂದಿ ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
“Community Day” at St. Francis of Assisi Temple, Tallur
On October 4, 2025, Community Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at St. Francis Assisi Church, Tallur.
The solemn Holy Eucharistic celebration began at 4:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa, PRO of the Udupi Diocese and Director of the Social Media Commission, who is also the parish priest of Thottam Church. Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza, the parish priest of Tallur, concelebrated the Mass.
In his homily, the main celebrant addressed the youth saying,
“When difficulties and hardships come in life, do not be afraid and do not lose faith. Trust in God. You are the strong weapons of the Holy Church. Never lose hope and never think of taking your own life.”
He also urged everyone to protect Mother Nature and to cultivate the spirit of helping others.
After the Eucharistic celebration, a cultural program was held in the church hall.
The chief guests for the event were Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa, Mr. Pratap Mendonca (NRI entrepreneur), parish clergy, religious sisters, the Vice President and Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, and the conveners of 20 commissions.
Parishioners from various wards presented Bible-based skits, dances, and devotional songs.
During the program, Mr. Pratap Mendonca, an NRI entrepreneur from Tallur, was felicitated by the parish clergy for receiving the NRI Entrepreneur Award 2023–2025.
Ward leaders, those who actively supported church needs, Parish Pastoral Council members, and benefactors were also honoured.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the singing and flower carpet competitions.
Mr. Calvin Mendonca, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, delivered the welcome address.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the conveners of the 20 commissions.
The program was compered by Mr. Rexton Rebello and Ms. Pratiksha Rebello.
More than 400 people participated in the celebration, expressing the unity and joy of the parish community.
