ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ದಿಗ್ಗಜರಾದ ಡೊಲ್ವಿನ್ ಕೊಳಲ್ಗಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜೋ ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರೋಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ‘ಕ್ಯಾಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವಾಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ 2026’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತಾ ದಿವಸ್ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 16, 2026: ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕ್ಯಾಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವರದೋ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತಾ ದಿವಸ್ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅನುಭವಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ಗಳಿಂದ 18 ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿತು.
ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಬರಹಗಾರ ಜೋಕಾ (ಜೋ ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರೋಸ್) ಮತ್ತು ಭರವಸೆಯ ಬಹು-ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರ ಡೊಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕ್ಯಾಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವಾಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು 2026 ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಜಗತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 20 ರಂದು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತಾ ದಿವಸ್ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವರದೋ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 16, 2026 ರ ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ತ್ರಿಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸಭೆಯು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 3.45 ಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪಾಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಹೈ ಟೀಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯ ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿತು.
ನಿಖರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಜೆ 4.10 ಕ್ಕೆ, ಎಮ್ಸಿ ರೋಷನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಗಣ್ಯರ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಉಡುಪಿ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ನ ವಿಕಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಕ್ಸೇವಿಯರ್ ಲೆವಿಸ್; ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜೋಕಿಮ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಅಲ್ವಾರೆಸ್; ಮತ್ತು ಖ್ಯಾತ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಆಲ್ರೌಂಡರ್ ಎರಿಕ್ ಸೋನ್ಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವರದೋ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜೋಯಲ್ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಅವರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಡೀನರಿ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಇದ್ದರು, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್ ಗಾಯಕವೃಂದವು ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಾದವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜೋಯಲ್ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಉಡಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಜಾ ಗುಲಾಬಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ, ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಆಳವಾದ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಣ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಕ್ಸೇವಿಯರ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾಗಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತಾ ದಿವಸ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು, ಆಯೋಜಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
‘ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವಾ-ಸಮ್ಮಾನ್ ಗವ್ರವ್ 2026’ ಎಂಬ ಬಿರುದನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾದ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ 18 ಅಪ್ರಕಟಿತ ವೀರರು
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವೆಂದರೆ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ಗಳಿಂದ ತಲಾ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಾಧಕರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು. ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರನ್ನು ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಾಯಿತು, ಆಯಾ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.
18 ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವೆಯ ಹಲವು ಆಯಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದರು – ಕಾವ್ಯ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಕಲೆ, ಹಾಡುಗಾರಿಕೆ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ನಿರೂಪಣೆ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ, ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸೇವೆಯ ಇತರ ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳು. ಕೆಲವರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗೆ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಇತರರು ಭರವಸೆಯ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರಿಗೂ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶಾಲು, ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಛ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಸ್ಟೀವನ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಅನಿತಾ ಅವರು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಈ ಮನ್ನಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಗೌರವ ಎಂದು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಿಎಸ್ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ಡೀನರಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವಾಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ 2026:
ಬಹುಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ಯುವ ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರ ಡೊಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ರೋಸಿ ಬರೆಟ್ಟೊ ಅವರು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದಾಗ ವಾತಾವರಣವು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿತು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ 2026 ರ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸೇವಾಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಪರಿಚಯವು ಗುಡುಗಿನ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
ನಂತರ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಕ್ಷಣ ಬಂದಿತು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಬರಹಗಾರ ಜೋ ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರೋಸ್ (ಜೋಕ್ವಾ) ಅವರ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಾಗ, ಇಡೀ ಸಭೆ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟಿ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವರ ದಶಕಗಳ ಕಾಲದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿತು. ಕ್ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ (ನಾನು), ಮರೋಲ್ ತೊಟ್ಟಮ್, ಅವರ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಾ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು.
ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ, ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಅವರ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರಿಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶಾಲು, ಪೇಟಾ, ಹಾರ, ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಬುಟ್ಟಿ, ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರ್ಸ್ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಜೋಕಾ ಮತ್ತು ಡೊಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಟಕರಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಮನ್ನಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
‘ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ’:
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಜೋಕಿಮ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಅಲ್ವಾರೆಸ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಸುಂದರ ಪದಗಳ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವು ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಭೆಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು, ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಭಾಷಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅನುಭವಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವರದೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಅಗಲಿದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಗಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಹೆನ್ರಿ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿ ಎರಿಕ್ ಸೋನ್ಸ್ ಅವರು ಅಮರ್ ಕವಿ ವಿಲ್ಫಿ ರೆಬಿಂಬಸ್ ಅವರ ಕೆಲವು ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆ, ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಹ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು.
ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯ:
ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡಿತು. ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಗುಮ್ಟಾ ಪೋಡಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದ ಇತರ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡರು, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಕಲೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವು ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ್ ವರಡೋದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು. ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕರು, ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರು, ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತಾ ದಿವಸ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ದತ್ತಿ ಕಾರ್ಪಸ್ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಉದಾರ ದಾನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

Konkani stalwarts in Dolvine Kollalgiri and Joe Quadros bestowed with ‘ ‘Catholic Sabha Konkani Sevashree Puraskar 2026’, as Konkani Manyata Divas Celebrated in Kallianpur.
Kallianpur, August 16, 2026: In a colourful and deeply moving celebration of Konkani language, culture and heritage, the Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado observed Konkani Manyata Divas for the first time, honouring two veterans and 18 distinguished Konkani personalities from its nine parishes.
Popular writer JoQa (Joe Quadros) and promising multi-talented musician Dolvine Mendonca were conferred the prestigious Catholic Sabha Konkani Sevashree Awards 2026 for their outstanding and selfless contribution to Konkani language and culture.
As the Konkani world observes Konkani Manyata Divas on August 20 every year, Kallianpur Varado chose to mark the occasion with a grand celebration on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Milagres Tricentenary Memorial Auditorium, Kallianpur. The gathering began at 3.45 p.m. with refreshments and high tea, creating a warm atmosphere of fellowship.
At exactly 4.10 p.m., Emcee Roshan D’Souza gave the programme a vibrant beginning with a colourful procession of dignitaries. Msgr Francis Xavier Lewis, Vicar General of the Diocese of Udupi and Rector of the Cathedral; Joakim Stany Alvares, President of the Karnataka State Konkani Sahitya Academy; and eminent Konkani all-rounder Eric Soans were led by Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado President Joyal D’Almeida, proudly carrying the Konkani flag. They were accompanied by the Deanery office-bearers, Presidents of the nine Catholic Sabha Units and other dignitaries, while the Konkani Anthem was solemnly sung.
The Cathedral choir, led by the prayerful hymn, set a spiritual tone to the celebration. President Joyal D’Almeida extended a traditional and cordial welcome to the guests with God Udak and fresh roses.
In his keynote address, Elias D’Souza, Vice President and Convenor of the celebration, highlighted the profound need and relevance of preserving and honouring one’s mother tongue, while underlining the richness of Konkani language, culture and heritage.
The celebration was formally inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Msgr Francis Xavier Lewis, along with the dignitaries on the dais. In his message, he conveyed his greetings on Konkani Manyata Divas, congratulated the organisers and participants, and expressed his happiness at being part of this unique celebration.
18 Unsung Heroes of Konkani Honoured with the title – ‘Catholic Sabha Konkani Seva-Samman Gavrav 2026’
The first major highlight of the programme was the recognition of two achievers from each of the nine parishes. Each awardee was escorted to the stage, while the respective Unit Presidents and Secretaries briefly introduced their achievements and contributions.
The 18 recipients represented the many dimensions of Konkani service—poetry, literature, art, singing, leadership, compering, religious music, social media, drama and other forms of cultural service. Some were veterans who had dedicated a lifetime to Konkani, while others represented the promising younger generation.
Each recipient was honoured with a traditional shawl, bouquet and memento. Steevan Lewis of Brahmavar and Sr Anita of Kallianpur expressed their feelings and gratitude on behalf of the recipients, describing the recognition as a deeply cherished and memorable honour.
CS Kallianpur Deanery Konkani Sevashree Puraskar 2026:
The atmosphere rose to another level when multi-talented young musician Dolvine Mendonca was introduced to the audience by Rosy Baretto. His introduction was greeted with thunderous applause as he was conferred the Catholic Sabha Konkani Sevashree Award 2026 in recognition of his contribution to Konkani music and culture.
Then came a truly emotional moment. As veteran writer Joe Quadros (JoQa) took his place of honour, the entire gathering rose in a standing ovation, acknowledging his decades-long contribution to the Konkani world. Clarence Fernandes (Nanu), Marol Thottam, read the citation highlighting his remarkable service.
Both awardees were honoured with a traditional shawl, peta, garland, fruit basket, memento and purse, as a mark of appreciation for their selfless contribution to Konkani language, heritage and culture.
Both JoQa and Dolvine Mendonca expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Catholic Sabha and the organisers for the distinctive recognition.
‘Speak Konkani at Home and Pass It On’:
Chief Guest Joakim Stany Alvares, in his beautifully worded address, reminded the gathering that the future of Konkani depends on its use in everyday life. He urged everyone to speak Konkani at home, offer prayers in Konkani and pass the rich linguistic and cultural legacy on to the next generation.
He congratulated the veteran Konkani workers of the region and lauded the Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado for taking this rare and meaningful initiative.
A prayerful tribute was also offered to the departed legendary singer and composer Henry D’Souza, remembering his valuable contribution to Konkani music.
Guest of Honour Eric Soans added colour to the occasion by singing a few lines of Amar Kavi Wilfy Rebimbus, beautifully highlighting the richness, sweetness and appeal of Konkani. He welcomed the initiative and expressed the hope that such celebrations would continue and become even more meaningful in the years ahead.
A Colourful Finale:
The cultural segment added further sparkle to the two-hour celebration. Traditional Gumta Podan and other Konkani songs presented by young performers were warmly appreciated by the audience, bringing together tradition, talent and youthful enthusiasm.
The colourful two-hour extravaganza—rich in Konkani tradition, art, culture, music and literature—concluded with a vote of thanks by Archibald Furtado, Secretary, Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado. He expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, performers, awardees, office-bearers, volunteers and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the historic celebration.
He also made an appeal to generous donors and Konkani lovers to come forward and support the establishment of an Endowment Corpus Fund, which would ensure that this meaningful Konkani Manyata Divas celebration can be continued every year.
The first Konkani Manyata Divas celebration of the Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Varado thus became much more than an event. It was a heartfelt tribute to the mother tongue, a celebration of Konkani identity, a recognition of its silent servants in a humble manner and a promise to carry the language and its rich heritage forward to future generations.
