ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ, ಉಡುಪಿ | 18 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2026: ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವು ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸೇವೆಯ ಹೃದಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವು ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಆಫ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ಸ್ನ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೋಶ (ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ) ಬಿಎಚ್ಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಎಚ್ಎಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 18, 2026 ರ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.
ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಸೇತುವೆಯಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಲಾದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು, ಆತಿಥ್ಯ, ವಿಮಾನಯಾನ, ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾನೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾವಿಗೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾ ಲಕ್ಸರಿ ರೆಸಾರ್ಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪಾದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾನೀಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಸವ್ರಭ್ ಡೋಬ್ರಿಯಾಲ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡೋಬ್ರಿಯಾಲ್, ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪರಿಕರಗಳು, ಅತಿಥಿ-ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ಗಳು, ವಿಮಾನಯಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಹನ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸಂವಾದದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಾಯುಯಾನ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾನೀಯಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಪರಿಸರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅಂಶಗಳಾಗಿವೆ, ಇದು ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ಇರಲು, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ವಿಕಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗಿರಲು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವರು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಭಾಗವು ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ. AHM ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಈವೆಂಟ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ಸನ್, ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಆಪ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಡ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು, ಮೃದು-ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ, ಸಂದರ್ಶನ ತಯಾರಿ, ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ. ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹಂತಕ್ಕೂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ತಯಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಬಲವಾದ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿ ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಈ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಅರ್ಹತೆಗಳು, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳು, ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಅನುಭವ, ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ, ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮ-ಆಧಾರಿತ ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಬಿಎಚ್ಎಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋಹನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡೋಜ, ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಂದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಹನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇಂದಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ತಯಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಓರಿಯಂಟೇಶನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಾದ – ಉದ್ಯೋಗ, ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಸ್ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ತೆರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ, ಯೋಗ್ಯತಾಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ತಯಾರಿ, ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನಗಳು, ಸಂದರ್ಶನ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆತಿಥ್ಯ, ವಾಯುಯಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ತರಗತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳಾಗಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು, ಕೆಲಸದ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ನೆಟ್ವರ್ಕ್ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಅಂಶಗಳಾಗಿ ಮೃದು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಸಂವಹನ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಅಂದಗೊಳಿಸುವಿಕೆ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ತಂಡದ ಕೆಲಸ, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ, ಸಮಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಜವಾದ ಸೇವಾ-ಆಧಾರಿತ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸುವ ಗುಣಗಳಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸೀಮಾ ಜಿ ಭಟ್; ಬಿಎಚ್ಎಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋಹನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡೋಜ; ಮತ್ತು ಎಎಚ್ಎಂ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಈವೆಂಟ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ಸನ್ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದರು. ವಾಯುಯಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೇಮಾ; ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧನಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.
ಎಎಚ್ಎಂ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಈವೆಂಟ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ಸನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಉಷ್ಣತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಗ್ಮಿತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಹರಿವು. ಅವರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಸಮನ್ವಯವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕಲಾಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು.
ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ, ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಿನರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಚಲ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಅಳತೆ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕಲು ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಭದಾಯಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಂತರದ ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು, ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ಉದ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಗಳು, ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತರಬೇತಿ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು, ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು, ಯೋಗ್ಯತಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು, ಪುನರಾರಂಭದ ತಯಾರಿ, ಸಂದರ್ಶನ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟೀಕರಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿತು, BHS ಮತ್ತು AHM ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ನೋಡಲು, ನಿರಂತರ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಥ ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಾಗಲು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು.

Tech-Driven Service, People-First Hospitality: Vidyalaxmi IQAC Gears Up BHS & AHM Students for Industry Readiness
Brahmavara, Udupi | 18 August 2026: In an era where technology is transforming the hospitality landscape while human connection remains at the heart of exceptional service, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, Brahmavara, Udupi, organised an insightful Placement Orientation Programme for the students of BHS and AHM on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, at the Vidyalaxmi College Auditorium.
Designed as a bridge between academic learning and professional aspirations, the programme aimed to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, professional skills and industry awareness required to navigate the dynamic and competitive world of Hospitality, Aviation, Food & Beverage, and Travel & Tourism.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sawrabh Dobriyal, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, Scylla Luxury Resort & Spa, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the students, Mr. Dobriyal emphasised that technology has become an indispensable part of the modern hospitality industry. He highlighted how digital tools, guest-management systems and online platforms are transforming the way hotels, airlines and tourism organisations interact with customers and deliver personalised services.
In an inspiring interaction with the students, he explained that Aviation Management, Hotel Management and Food & Beverage are interconnected facets of the larger Hospitality Management ecosystem, opening a wide spectrum of career opportunities for aspiring professionals. He encouraged students to remain curious, continuously upgrade their skills and embrace technological advancements to stay relevant in an ever-evolving industry.
A significant segment of the programme focused on the placement process and career preparation. Mr. Johnson, AHM Convenor and Event Coordinator, briefed the students on the different stages involved in campus recruitment, beginning with resume building and application procedures, followed by aptitude tests, soft-skills assessment, interview preparation, industrial training and campus placement. He explained the importance of preparing systematically for every stage of recruitment and encouraged students to approach the placement process with confidence, discipline and professionalism.
The session also highlighted the importance of resume building as the first step towards creating a strong professional identity. Students were guided on the need to prepare a clear, attractive and industry-oriented resume that effectively communicates their academic qualifications, skills, internship experience, achievements and career interests.
Mr. Rohan Cardoza, Head of the Department, BHS, particularly emphasised the importance of final-year students preparing themselves well in advance for the recruitment process. He advised students to build an attractive and professional resume while simultaneously developing the knowledge, confidence and communication skills required to face interviews successfully. He reminded students that preparation and continuous self-improvement are essential to compete effectively in today’s highly competitive employment environment.
The orientation programme unfolded around three vital pillars of career readiness—Placement, Internship and Soft Skills. Students were introduced to the various stages of the placement journey, including professional resume preparation, aptitude-test preparation, application procedures, interview strategies and recruiter expectations across the hospitality, aviation and tourism sectors.
The session further shed light on the importance of industrial training and internships as stepping stones from the classroom to the corporate world. Students were encouraged to choose training and internship opportunities strategically, gain meaningful hands-on experience, understand workplace practices, develop industry exposure and build valuable professional networks at an early stage of their careers.
Special emphasis was placed on soft skills and professional personality as essential components of employability. Effective communication, professional grooming, confidence, teamwork, problem-solving ability, adaptability, time management and a genuine service-oriented attitude were highlighted as qualities that can distinguish a candidate in today’s competitive employment landscape.
The programme was graced by Dr. Seema G Bhat, Principal; Mr. Rohan Cardoza, Head of the Department, BHS; and Mr. Johnson, AHM Convenor and Event Coordinator. The presence of Ms. Nema, Assistant Placement Coordinator, Department of Aviation and Hospitality Management; Mr. Ganesh Nayak, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Management and IQAC Coordinator, along with teaching faculty and administrative staff, added significance to the programme.
Mr. Johnson, AHM Convenor and Event Coordinator, compered the programme with a graceful and engaging flow, connecting each segment of the event with warmth and eloquence. His effective coordination added vibrancy and continuity to the proceedings.
The dignitaries reiterated the institution’s unwavering commitment, through IQAC initiatives, to creating a strong synergy between academics, industry exposure, professional training and employability skills. They emphasised that the true measure of quality education extends beyond academic achievement and lies in empowering students to confidently step into the professional world and build rewarding careers.
The interactive session that followed provided students with an opportunity to seek clarification on career pathways, emerging industry trends, internship and industrial training opportunities, placement expectations, aptitude tests, resume preparation, interview techniques and essential skill development.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Rohan Cardoza, Head of the Department, BHS, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, management, IQAC, faculty members, administrative staff and students for their valuable participation and contribution towards making the programme meaningful and successful.
The Placement Orientation Programme thus emerged as a meaningful and motivating platform for career awakening, inspiring BHS and AHM students to look beyond textbooks, embrace continuous learning and prepare themselves to become confident, skilled and globally competent hospitality professionals.
