ನವೆಂಬರ್ 2 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ದ್ವಿ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಕಲಂಗಣ್ಣ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು – 21ನೇ ಕಲಾಕರ್ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು 287ನೇ ಮಾಸಿಕ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿ. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಚಿನ್ನಾ ಎಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ರಾವ್ ಎಸ್. ಅವರಿಗೆ 21ನೇ ಕಲಾಕರ್ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ. ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸ್ ಕಾಮತ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ವಾಲ್ಹೋ ಹೌಸ್ಹೋಲ್ಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡುವ ಕಲಾಕರ್ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯು ಶಾಲು, ಹಾರ, ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು, ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ₹50,000 ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾಮತ್, “ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಚಿನ್ನಾ ಅವರಂತಹ ನಾಟಕಕಾರರು ಮತ್ತು ಎರಿಕ್ ಒಜಾರಿಯೊ ಅವರಂತಹ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿವೆ. ಈಗ, ಲೋಕಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಬಹುದು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭವನದ ಕೆಲಸ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಚಿನ್ನಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು, “ನಾನು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯ. ನಾನು ತುಳು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಮಲಯಾಳಂ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸಬೇಕು; ಅವು ದ್ವೇಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಬಾರದು. ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಇತರ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳು ಕ್ಯಾಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಜನರಷ್ಟು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ನಿಜ. ನಮಗೆ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿರಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಒಂದಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ನಮಗೆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸಗಳಿರಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.” ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿ, ಕಲೆಗಳ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಕ ಮತ್ತು ಒಮಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯ ಬಲವಾದ ಆಧಾರಸ್ತಂಭವಾದ ಸ್ಟಾನ್ಲಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ‘ದತ್ತು’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು, ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಕಾರ್ವಾಲ್ಹೋ ಘರಾಣೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಎಸ್ಜೆ, ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಮೂಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಲಾಕುಲ್ ಸಹ-ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಕ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ (ದುಬೈ) ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೋಭಾನ್ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಗ ಜೆರ್ರಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ (ಕತಾರ್) ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೂವಿನ ಗುಚ್ಛಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು. ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೋಭಾನ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೋನಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಕಲಾಂಗನ್ ಪಿರ್ಜೆಂಟ್ ರಾಯ್ ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ಟೆಲಿನೊ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿನ್ನಾ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಾತಿ ಅನಿತಾ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಯೋಗಿತಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಾರೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕೆರೋನ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಇದರ ನಂತರ, ದುಬೈ ಮೂಲದ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಗಂಟೆ ಬಾರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ 287 ನೇ ಮಾಸಿಕ ರಂಗಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. 17ನೇ ‘ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ನೈಟ್’ ಅನ್ನು ಮೆಲೋಡಿ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ, ಶಿಲ್ಪಾ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಸೋನಾಲ್ ಮಾಂಟೆರೊ, ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್, ವಿಲಿಯಂ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ, ಜೆನೆಲಿಯಾ ಸಲ್ಡಾನಾ, ಮತ್ತು ಡೆರಿಕ್ ಮಚಾದೊ ಸಾಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಜಿ-ಮೇಜರ್’ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸಂಗೀತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿದರು: ಶೆಲ್ಡನ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ (ಬಾಸ್ ಗಿಟಾರ್), ಅಲಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ (ಲೀಡ್ ಗಿಟಾರ್), ವೀಕ್ಷಿತ್ (ತಬ್ಲಾ), ಮಿಲ್ಟನ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ (ಡ್ರಮ್ಸ್), ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ (ಕೀಬೋರ್ಡ್), ಮತ್ತು ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ (ಪಿಟೀಲು). ‘ಮಸ್ಕಿರಿ ಮಂಗ್ಲೂರ್’ ತಂಡದ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ನೀಲೇಶ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಗೆಗಡಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಲಿಸಿದರು. ಶೆಲ್ಡನ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ಲಾನಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

Kalangann stood witness to a Dual Celebration on November 2nd – The 21st Kalakar Puraskar and the 287th Monthly Theatre. Srinivasa Rao S., famously known as Kasaragod Chinna, who brought prestige to the Konkani Theatre and also won awards for his work in literature and cinema, was presented with the 21st Kalakar Puraskar. Mangalore South MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath handed over the Kalakar Puraskar, which is jointly given by the Carvalho Household and Mandd Sobhann. The award includes a shawl, a garland, fruits, a memento and ₹50,000.
Speaking well of the occasion, Mr Kamath said, “The Konkani community has played a major role in the development of Mangalore city. In this, the contributions of dramatists like Kasaragod Chinna and Composers like Eric Ozario are significant. Now, Konkani can also be spoken in the Lok Sabha. We must all work together for the development of the Konkani language and pass it on to the next generation. The work on the Konkani Bhavan has halted. I will extend my support to see it to completion.”
Kasaragod Chinna, after accepting the honor, shared his feelings, “I am a Konkani man. I have worked in Tulu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Languages should unite hearts and minds; they should not be a cause for hatred. Various organizations are doing Konkani work. But it is true that, for various reasons, other Konkani communities have not created as much literature as the Catholic Konkani people have. We may have two eyes, but our vision must be one. We might have differences of opinion, but the work for Konkani must be done unitedly.” He then thanked everyone.
The guest of honor, Stanley Fernandes ‘Dattu’, a promoter of the arts and a strong pillar for Konkani in Oman, wished the program well. Earlier, giving the introductory speech, the Carvalho Gharane’s representative and linguist, Rev. Dr. Pratap Naik SJ, explained the origins and journey of this award.
Kalakul Co-Sponser Michael Dsouza (Dubai) and Mandd Sobhann supporter Jerry Pinto (Qatar) were honored with flower bouquets. Treasurer Sunil Monteiro read the citation. Mandd Sobhann President Louis Pinto, Secretary Rony Crasta, Kalangann Pirjent Roy Castelino & Chinna’s Spouse Anita were present on the dais. Yogita Bellare compered the felicitation ceremony. Keron Madtha made the announcements.
Following this, the 287th Monthly Theatre was set in motion by Dubai-based businessman Francis Dsouza by ringing the bell. The 17th ‘Maxim Nite’ was presented by Melody Star Maxim Pereira and his troupe. Maxim Pereira, Shilpa Cutinha, Prakash Dsouza, Sonal Monteiro, Priya Menezes, William Rebello, Genelia Saldanha, and Derrick Machado Sang and the ‘G-Major’ band accompanied with music: Sheldon Pereira (Bass Guitar), Alister Dsouza (Lead Guitar), Veekshith (Tabla), Milton Pereira (Drums), Macklin Dsouza (Keyboard), and Sunil Kumar (Violin). Joseph D’Souza and Nilesh of team ‘Maskiri Manglur’ spread laughter through their Skits. Sheldon Crasta and Glany Fernandes compered the program.
