ಮಂಗಳೂರು, 9 ನವೆಂಬರ್ 2025: ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ನ ಯುವ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು (ವೈಸಿಎಸ್), ವಾಮಂಜೂರು, ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು (ಎಸ್ಜೆಇಸಿ) ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುವ II ಪಿಯುಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಗ್ರ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾದ ‘ಮುಂದೆ ಏನು?’ ಅನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಯುವ ಕಲಿಯುವವರಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿತು.
ಎಸ್ಜೆಇಸಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅರ್ಧ ದಿನದ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 71 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪಿಯುಸಿ ನಂತರದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗಳು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ, ಖಾಸಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನಗಳ ಲಭ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಇಟಿ, ನೀಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಆರ್ಎಲ್ಎಂಪಿಸಿಎ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ವಿವರವಾದ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯುಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಎಸ್ಜೆಇಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾಲೇಜು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9:30 ಕ್ಕೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ದಿನದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅಡಿಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು. ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಉಪಾಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಘಟಕರ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು.
ವೈಸಿಎಸ್ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ವಿಲ್ಫ್ರೆಡ್ ಅವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಹಯೋಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಸ್ಜೆಇಸಿಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸ್ಮಿತಾ ಎಂ. ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಶ್ರೀ ಫ್ರಾಂಕೊ ಮೆನೆಜೆಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಯಲ್ ಡಿಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಅಧಿವೇಶನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
YCS Mangalore and SJEC Host ‘What’s Next?’ Career Guidance Programme for PUC Students
Mangaluru, 9 November 2025: Young Catholic Students (YCS), Diocese of Mangalore, in collaboration with St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, organised ‘What’s Next?’—a comprehensive career guidance programme aimed at II PUC students aspiring to pursue engineering. The initiative sought to equip young learners with clarity on various academic pathways, scholarship opportunities, and entrance examinations.
A total of 71 students, accompanied by their parents, participated in the half-day session held on the SJEC campus. The programme featured informative presentations covering career options after PUC, the availability of government, private, and minority scholarships, and detailed insights into CET, NEET, and KRLMPCA counselling processes. Students were also introduced to the diverse academic and infrastructural opportunities offered at SJEC.
The event began with a Holy Eucharistic Celebration at 9:30 a.m. in the college chapel, adding a spiritual foundation to the day’s activities. Breakfast and lunch were provided for all participants, and the programme was offered free of charge, demonstrating the organisers’ commitment to accessible education and guidance.
YCS Mangalore expressed deep gratitude to Rev. Fr Wilfred for his constant support and encouragement. Appreciation was also extended to the management and staff of SJEC for their collaboration in hosting this meaningful and impactful event.
The programme was convened by Ms Smitha M. D’Souza, Mr Franco Menezes, and Mr Joel Dmello, who coordinated the sessions and ensured smooth organisation.
