ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 6, 2025 ರ ಸೋಮವಾರದಂದು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಡವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ನಾಡೋಜ ಡಾ. ಜಿ. ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ 70 ನೇ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಮೊಗವೀರ ಯುವ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿ, 13 ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗ, ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ & ಕಲ್ಚರಲ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್, ಕುರಾಡಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಘಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳು ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಕಸ್ತೂರ್ಬಾ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ರಕ್ತನಿಧಿ ಘಟಕವು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿತು. ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರು, ದಾದಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ತಂಡವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಗಮ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿತು.
ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಫಸ್ಟ್ ಗ್ರೇಡ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿಯಲ್ & ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್, ಹೆರಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ನೆರೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಈ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯು ಯುವಜನರ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತ ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವು ಡಾ. ಜಿ. ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ಪರೋಪಕಾರಿ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹರಡಿತು. ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವು ಮಾನವ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರಾಚೆಗಿನ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ಏಕತೆ, ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ನಿಜವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at National PU College, Barkur
A noble and inspiring Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized at the National PU College, Barkur on Monday, 6th October 2025, as a meaningful act of service and gratitude.
The event was held under the auspices of the Mogaveera Yuva Sangathane, Udupi, to mark the landmark 70th birthday celebration of Nadoja Dr. G. Shankar, the eminent philanthropist, visionary educationist, and compassionate benefactor well-known across Karnataka for his generous contributions to education, healthcare, and the welfare of the poor and marginalized.
In a fine gesture of solidarity and community spirit, 13 Geleyara Balaga, Spoorthi Sports & Cultural Club, Kurady, and many local associations and well-wishers from Barkur actively participated in the camp and voluntarily donated blood, setting an example of selfless service.
The Blood Bank Unit of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in collaboration with the Udupi District Administration, made excellent arrangements in the spacious National PU College Auditorium. A team of expert doctors, nurses, and medical staff ensured a smooth, safe, and hygienic process for all donors.
Students from National First Grade College, National Industrial & Technology Institute, Heradi, and other neighbouring institutions also came forward enthusiastically to join this life-saving mission. Their participation reflected youthful compassion and awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation.
This humanitarian effort not only celebrated the benevolent legacy of Dr. G. Shankar but also spread a powerful message on the importance of giving back to society. The camp was a true reflection of unity, service, and social responsibility that enriches human life and strengthens the community spirit of Barkur and beyond.
