ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ (Our Lady of Miracles Church) ‘ಪರಮ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನವರ ಸ್ವರ್ಗರೋಹಣ ಹಬ್ಬ’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ’ಯ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆ
ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಮ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನವರ ಸ್ವರ್ಗರೋಹಣ ಹಬ್ಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಭಾವನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ವಂದನೀಯ ಧರ್ಮ ಗುರು ಉದಯ್ ಫೆ ರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ಸಮಾರಂಭದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಮೊಂತೆ ರೊ ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿದರು; ನಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೌಲ್ ಸಾಲ್ದಾನಅವರು ಸಭಿಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಪಿಪಿಸಿ (PPC) ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿಕ್ಸನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಮೊಂತೆ ರೊ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಮೊಂತೆರೋ , ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಾಗರಿಕತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ನ ವಂದನೀಯ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಐವನ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಗಾಯನ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಯ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಿತು; ನಂತರ ಯುವಜನರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಲಾದ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯ ‘ಫ್ಲ್ಯಾಶ್ ಮಾಬ್’ ನೃತ್ಯವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿತು.
ಪಿಪಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆಸಿಂತಾ ಫರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸಂಪನ್ನಗೊಂಡಿತು. ನಂತರ ಸಭಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿತಿಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪಿಪಿಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ ಮೊಂತೆರೋ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಆಚರಣೆ ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿತು.
The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Independence Day were celebrated with great devotion and patriotic spirit at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangaluru.
The Solemn Holy Mass was celebrated at 7:00 a.m. by Rev. Fr Uday Fernandes. Following the Mass, the Independence Day programme commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony. The Chief Guest, Mr Antony Monteiro, hoisted the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The gathering was welcomed by Mr. Paul Saldanha, Sanchalak, Social Development. Mr Dixsun D’Souza, Vice President, PPC, introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Antony Monteiro, who then addressed the gathering with a meaningful message on patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship.
Rev. Fr Ivan Rodrigues, Parish Priest, delivered a message highlighting the significance of the occasion. The celebration continued with a patriotic song by the choir, followed by a lively flash mob dance by the youth, adding joy and enthusiasm to the programme.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Jecintha Fernandes, Secretary, PPC. Sweets were then distributed to the gathering.
The programme was compered by Mr John Monteiro, Coordinator, PPC. The celebration brought together faith and patriotism, making the occasion a joyful and meaningful one for the parish community.
