The students and teachers of St. Clare School, Akuluto, successfully undertook an excursion to Kolkata from July 22 to 29. 30 participants joined the trip, which proved to be both memorable and educational for all involved. The journey began on July 22 from St. Clare School, Akuluto. For many students, this was their first trip outside the state, offering them a fresh encounter with a new culture.
Visit to Major Attractions in Kolkata
During the excursion, the students visited several key attractions in and around Kolkata: the natural beauty of Digha Beach, the fun and thrill of Nicco Park with its rides and games, the world of science at Science City, the diversity of animals at the zoo, the tomb of Mother Teresa, the historical grandeur of the Victoria Memorial, and the spiritual ambiance of St. Paul’s Church all of which captivated the students.
The students also had the chance to explore local markets and engage in shopping. This hands-on experience helped them enhance their commercial awareness and communication skills.
Throughout the trip, all the students participated with discipline and enthusiasm. Teachers expressed their appreciation for the students’ exemplary behavior. Many remarked emotionally saying, “Trips like these add a new dimension to our lives.”

ಸಂತ ಕ್ಲಾರಾ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಜುಲೈ 22ರಿಂದ 29ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು. ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಈ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಲಭಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಪ್ರವಾಸವು ಜುಲೈ 22 ರಂದು ಅಕುಲುತೋದ ಸಂತ ಕ್ಲಾರಾ ಶಾಲೆಯಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಹಲವರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಹೊರರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೊಸ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಪರಿಚಯವೂ ಈ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಮೂಲಕ ದೊರೆಯಿತು.
ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಭೇಟಿ
ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ ದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು: ಡಿಘಾ ಬೀಚ್ನ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಶೋಭೆ, ನಿಕ್ಕೋ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ನ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪೂರ್ಣ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು, ಆಟೋಪಾಟಗಳು, ಸೈನ್ಸ್ ಸಿಟಿಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಜ್ಞಾನದ ಸಾಂದರ್ಭಿಕ ಪ್ರಪಂಚ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯದ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು, ಮದರ್ ತೆರೇಸಾ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಸ್ಥಳ, ವಿಕ್ಟೋರಿಯಾ ಮೆಮೋರಿಯಲ್ನ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ವೈಭವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತ ಪಾಲ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ನ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ವಾತಾವರಣ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮನಸನ್ನುಸೂರೆಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಬಜಾರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಹನಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಾ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಿಸ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಹಲವರು “ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಭಾವೋದ್ರೇಕದಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
