ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ; ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ವಿಜ್ಡಮ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ಸ್, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿಜ್ಡಮ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ಸ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 5, 2025 ರಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಹೊಸ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭವು ಎರಡು ವೃತ್ತಿ-ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧಿತ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು. ಬಿಕಾಮ್: ವಾಯುಯಾನ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಬಿಸಿಎ: ವೆಬ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಡೇಟಾ ಸೈನ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿಜ್ಡಮ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ಸ್‌ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ಕಾ ತೇಜ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮುವುದನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ನೈಜ-ಸಮಯದ ರೂಪಾಂತರಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಈ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುಮುಖಿ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಸಮರ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ವಿಜ್ಡಮ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ಸ್ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೌಶಿಕ್ ಅವರ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಭಾಷಣವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಂದಿನ ವಿಕಸನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯವರ್ಧಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಅವರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ನೇರ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇತರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೆಬ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೈಜ-ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡೇಟಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅನ್ವಯಿಕೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ, ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಕಲಿಯಲಿರುವ ವಿಷಯದ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ದೃಶ್ಯೀಕರಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತು. ಅವರ ಭಾಷಣವು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯುಕ್ತ, ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರೇರಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಡಾ. ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಆಳ್ವಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಗ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಾಕಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಧುನಿಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಪಾಲುದಾರರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ರಾಂಡನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಮೋಹಿತ್ ಉದ್ಯಮ ತಜ್ಞರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ವಿಷಯ, ಬೋಧನಾ ವಿಧಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಅವಲೋಕನವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸಿತು. ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ಸಹಯೋಗಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು. VAP ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿನಂದನ್ ಭಟ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಅದ್ಧೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿತು.

Milagres College, Kallianpur, in collaboration with Wizdom Foundations, Mangalore, organized the Inauguration of Value Added Programme on 5th August 2025 at 1:30 PM in the college auditorium.
The ceremony commenced with a formal welcome, followed by the lighting of the lamp signifying the beginning of a new academic journey. The occasion marked the official launch of two career-focused value-added courses:
BCOM: Aviation Management
BCA: Web Development & Data Science
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Franciska Tej, Director, Wizdom Foundations, Mangalore. In her inaugural address, she stressed the pressing need for value-added programmes in higher education institutions. She emphasized how these courses bridge the gap between academic theory and industry expectations. She appreciated the vision of Milagres College in integrating such programmes to ensure students emerge as industry-ready professionals. Highlighting real-time transformations in the job market, she urged students to make the most of this opportunity and develop themselves into competent individuals with multifaceted skills.
A key highlight of the event was the insightful address by Mr. Koushik, representative of Wizdom Foundations. He spoke passionately on the importance of value-added programmes in today’s evolving educational landscape. Using live examples and case studies, he illustrated how students who enrolled in similar programmes across other institutions had found significant success in employment and entrepreneurship. His examples included real-world projects in web development and applications of data science in business analytics, which inspired students and helped them visualize the practical impact of what they were about to learn. His speech was informative, engaging, and highly motivating.
Dr. Vincent Alva delivered the presidential address, highlighting the visionary goals of the institution. He reiterated the college’s commitment to offering holistic education and stressed that mere academic success is no longer sufficient in the competitive world. He commended the efforts of both the departments and the resource partners in designing curriculum that meets the needs of the modern job market. Mr. Brandon and Mr. Mohith Industry Experts were present during the programme.
The event also provided a brief overview of the course content, teaching methodology, and learning outcomes. Faculty members in charge gave a walkthrough of the schedules and learning objectives, ensuring clarity for the students.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging all the dignitaries, collaborators, and enthusiastic student participants. Mr Ravinandan Bhat, VAP Coordinator compeered the programme. The event was a grand success, promising a progressive path for learners in both commerce and computer science streams.
