ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೋಶ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೋಶ (IQAC) ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 24, 2026 ರಂದು ನವ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (NMPA) ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬೈಕಂಪಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗುರುಚರಣ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್‌ಗೆ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಭೇಟಿಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೈಜ-ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸೈದ್ಧಾಂತಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬಂದರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಜಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವ NMPA ಯಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಮತ್ತು ಬಂದರಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ, ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಅವಲೋಕನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. NMPA ಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಭೇಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಗರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋಹನ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಅವರು ಹಡಗು ಚಲನೆ, ಸಂಚರಣೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಹಡಗು ಡಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸರಕು ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಬಂದರು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದರು. ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಪಡೆದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು, ನಿವ್ವಳ ಲಾಭದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ (CSR) ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅವಲೋಕನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ 10 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ವೀಡಿಯೊವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ತಜ್ಞರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅನ್‌ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು, ಗೋದಾಮಿನ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು, ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಪ್ರೋಟೋಕಾಲ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಜಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಿತ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅನ್ವಯವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದರುಗಳ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಜಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಅವಧಿಗಳು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದವು.

ಗುರುಚರಣ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್‌ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ಕಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು, ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಸರಪಳಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಬೈಕಂಪಾಡಿಯ ಗುರುಚರಣ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್‌ನ ಮೆಕ್ಯಾನಿಕಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೈಫ್ ಅವರು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಏಕೀಕರಣವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಘಟಕದ ಡ್ರಾಯಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಯಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಖಾಚಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಯಂತ್ರ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂದಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ, ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯುಕ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಾಬೀತಾಯಿತು, ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಾಧಿಕಾ ಪಾಟ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಭೇಟಿಯ ಸುಗಮ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಎರಡೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಭೇಟಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ಭೇಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Industrial visit to Gurucharan Industries, Baikampady, New Mangalore Port by students of Kalyanpur Milagres College

Milagres College, Kallianpur, through its Department of Commerce and Career Guidance and Placement Cell, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized an industrial visit to New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and Gurucharan Industries, Bikampady, Mangalore, on April 24, 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world industrial operations and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices. At NMPA, one of India’s major ports and a key contributor to the region’s trade and logistics sector, students were warmly received and given a comprehensive overview of the port’s history, infrastructure, and operational activities. The entire industrial visit at NMPA was guided by Mr. Rohan from the Marine Department, who provided in-depth insights into essential port functions, including vessel movement, navigation safety, ship docking procedures, and cargo handling systems. As part of the session, he also presented a 10-minute video showcasing an overview of the organization, highlighting awards received from the government, net profit performance, and the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for the welfare of society. Under his expert guidance, students observed modern loading and unloading techniques, warehousing facilities, safety protocols, and the application of advanced technology in logistics management. The interactive sessions helped them understand the vital role of ports in international trade and economic development, while also providing clarity on career opportunities in the maritime and logistics sectors.

The visit to Gurucharan Industries added a valuable dimension to the learning experience, where students explored various departments and gained insights into manufacturing processes, quality control measures, and supply chain management. Mr. Saif, Mechanical Engineer at Gurucharan Industries, Bikampady, not only explained production techniques and the integration of technology in manufacturing but also accompanied the students to the drawing section of the unit, where he provided a practical demonstration by designing and sketching a manufacturing machine, enabling students to understand the technical aspects of machine design and industrial planning. He emphasized the importance of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in today’s competitive industrial environment.

The visit proved to be highly informative and inspiring, broadening students’ perspectives on industrial operations and enhancing their career awareness. The programme was accompanied and coordinated by Mr. Ganesh Nayak, Placement Officer, and Mrs. Radhika Patkar from the Department of Commerce, who ensured the smooth conduct of the visit. The visit was concluded by handing over appreciation letters to both industries as a token of gratitude for their cooperation and support, followed by a vote of thanks expressing sincere appreciation to all the authorities and resource persons for making the visit a meaningful and enriching educational experience.
