Parish priest fr Walter D’Souza blessed New paddy corns. After the procession Solemn Mass was celebrated. Fr Arun Lobo director of counselling centre Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant. He preached a beautiful sermon on the theme evils that threaten our families. During Mass Biblothon Bible marathon was launched as per the direction of Bible commission. Donors were honoured with a candle. Gurkars distributed blessed corns to the heads of the family. Parish as a family consumed payasam mixed with Novem. Payasam, cake and sugarcane was distributed to all gathered.
Chitradurga, Hiriyur, September 8,2023: Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga celebrated Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary feast.
Novena began on August 30th at 5:45pm with Rosary, Holy Eucharist and floral homage for Mother Mary till August 7th.
Parish Priest Fr Franklin D’Souza and Assistant Parish Priest Fr Alphonse Nelson D’Souza led the Holy Eucharist and Novena every day.
On September 8th, 6:15am was the rosary, then at 6:30am Fr Alphonse Nelson D’Souza celebrated festal Holy Eucharist and preached a homily on “Nativity of Mother Mary”.
Floral Homage was done end of the Holy Eucharist and special prayers were held.

ಕುಂದಾಪುರ,ಸೆ.8: ರೋಜಾರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನವರ ಇಗರ್ಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತೆ ಮೇರಿಯ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು “ಮೊಂತಿ ಫೆಸ್ತ್” ಬಹಳ ಶ್ರದಾ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೌರವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಜ್ರಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯ ಗ್ರೊಟ್ಟೊ ಎದುರುಗಡೆ ಹೊಸ ಬೆಳೆ ಭತ್ತದ ತೇನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಅ|ವಂ|ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ತಾವ್ರೊ ಆಶಿರ್ವದಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಾಲನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಅಲಂಕ್ರತ ಬಾಲ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯ ಪುಥ್ಥಳಿಗೆ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪುಷ್ಪಗಳನ್ನು ಆರ್ಚನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಬ್ಯಾಂಡು ವಾದ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಗಾಯನನ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಇಗರ್ಜಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿದಾನವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿದಾನ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ದಿವ್ಯ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರರಾದ ವಂ|ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ‘ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯ ಜೀವನವೊಂದು, ಸುಂದರ ವರ” ಇವ್ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಾದರೆ, ಅವಳು ದೇವರ ಕ್ರಪೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಗಲಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಳು, ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ನಮಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಜೀವನ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಹಾತಾಯಿದಳು, ಮೇರಿ ದೇವ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಹಡೆದು, ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನೆ ದರೆಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದ ಪಾವನೆ. ತಾನು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗುವೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ, ನಾನು ಗಂಡು ಮಗನಿಗೆ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗುವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದ ತಾಯಿ, ಈಗೆ ಹಲವು ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ. ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಏನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಯೇಸುನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅರಿಯಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯಂತೆ ಸಚ್ಚಾರಿತ್ರದ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಬೆಕು. ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಗೋದಲಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು, ಕಾಲ್ವಾರಿ ಪರ್ವತದ ಶಿಲುಭೆಯ ತನಕ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಜೊತೆ ನೀಡಿದಳು. ನಾವು ಈ ಮಹಾ ಮಾತೆಯ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ರತ್ಞತಾ ಪುರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತೇನೆಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ, ನಾವು ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು, ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಭಾಶೆಗೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜಲ ನದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಈ ಹಬ್ಬ ಆಚರಿಸೋಣ. ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಅಥವ ಸಂತರುಗಳ ಕೇವಲ ನಾವು ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಬೇಡ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಿ ಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ನಿವೇದನೆ ಯೇಸು ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಅರಿಯೋಣ. ಈ ಹಬ್ಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಬ್ಬವೆಂದೂ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಕಾರಣ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಪಾಪ ಕಳಂಕರಹಿತಳು, ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆದರ್ಶೆ, ಅವಳ ಆದರ್ಶವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಅ|ವಂ| ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ತಾವ್ರೊ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರಿ ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶಾಲೆಟ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಆಶಾ ಕರ್ವಾಲ್ಲೊ, ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಪ್ರೇಮಾ ಡಿಕುನ್ಹಾ, ವಾಳೆಯ ಗುರಿಕಾರರು, ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮಭಗಿನಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಹು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಾಧಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದರು.

ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುವಾರ ಕಛೇರಿ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿಕ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ಇಂತಹ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಚ್ಛೆಸುವ ಹಲವಾರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದರು.

ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಯಾದವರ ಸಂಘದಿಂದ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಜನ್ಮಾಷ್ಟಮಿ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಬುಧವಾರ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಭಾವ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಯಾದವ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಮಳೆ, ಬೆಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಬದುಕು ಬಯಸಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ: ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮುಳಬಾಗಿಲು ವೃತ್ತದಿಂದ ಎಂ.ಜಿ.ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಭಾವ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಅಲಂಕೃತ ಪಲ್ಲಕಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಕಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾದವ ಸಮುದಾಯದವರು ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಪಲ್ಲಕಿಗಳು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಡೊಳ್ಳು ಕುಣಿತ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲ್ನಡಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

The cast includes stellar performances by Denis Monteiro, Ashwin D’Costa, Wencita Dias, Prince Jacob, Sayish Panandikar, Gaurish Vernekar, Stany Alvares, Nellu Permannur, Sunil Siddi, Lulu Fortes, Naveen Lobo, and other renowned artists from Goa and Mangaluru. Notably, around 500 other talented actors make their debut appearances in front of the camera.
‘Osmitay’ will grace the screens starting September 15th at Bharat Cinemas Mangaluru with two screens, along with screenings at Cine Galaxy Surathkal, Bharat Cinemas Padubidri, Bharat Cinemas Manipal, Bharat Cinemas Puttur, Bharat Talkies Belthangady, and Planet Karkala, each with one screen dedicated to the film. Additionally, Kalpana Talkies Udupi and Padmanjali Talkies Honnavar will contribute with four screens each to ensure that audiences get the opportunity to experience this cinematic masterpiece. Following the initial release, arrangements will be made for exhibition in various locations, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, and UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Israel, Germany, Australia, Ireland, USA and several countries around the world.
On September 10th, there will be three simultaneous premiere screenings at 4:00 PM at Bejai Bharat Cinemas in Mangaluru, Puttur, and Bharat Cinemas in Manipal. The inauguration in Mangaluru will be graced by Goa MLA couple, Michael Lobo and Delilah Lobo.
Mandd Sobhann has undertaken the ambitious production of ‘Osmitay’ with the invaluable support of the community and donors, driven by their mission to contribute to the cinematic movement.
