ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯು ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾಂಡ್ ಸೊಭಾಣ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮಾಣ್ಕಾಂ ಮೊತಿಯಾಂ-2 ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಜಾ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ದಿನಾಂಕ 20-4-2026 ರಂದು ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ಸಭಾಭವನ ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಜೋಕಿಂ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಆಲ್ವಾರಿಸ್ ರವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆ. ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯು ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಪೋಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಕವಿಯಾದ ಆಂಡ್ರ್ಯೂ ಎಲ್ ಡಿಕುನಾ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮುತ್ತು ಹವಳಗಳು ಸಾಗರದ ಆಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ಹೆಕ್ಕಿ ತಂದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗ ಬಿಡಿಬಿಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿರುವ ಮುತ್ತು ಹವಳಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಣಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕಾರಿಕ ಸರವಾಗಿ ಶೋಭಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿ ಇದರ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಫಾ|ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ವಿನ್ಸಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಆಂಜೆಲೊರ್, ಕಾರ್ಯ ದರ್ಶಿ ಜಾನೆಟ್, ಅಸುಂತಾ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ,ನಾಟಕ,ಗಾಯನ ಹಾಗೂ ನೃತ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಶಿಬಿರವು ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್ 20,21, 22 ಹೀಗೆ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯುವುದು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ನವೀನ್ ಲೋಬೊ, ರೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐರಿನ್ ರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
Children’s Summer Camp at Bajjodi Church – Mankam Mothiyam-2 Program
The inauguration of the Mankam Mothiyam-2 children’s summer camp was held on April 20, 2026, at the Infant Mary Hall, Bajjodi. The camp is organized by the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy in collaboration with Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, and with the support of Mandd Sobhann.
The programme was presided over by Joachim Stany Alvares, President of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy. In his address, he emphasized the importance of Konkani children learning their mother tongue and noted that the Academy actively encourages such initiatives. He also urged parents to provide their children with opportunities to participate in such camps.
Renowned writer and poet Andrew L. D’Cunha, the chief guest, spoke on the occasion and compared children to pearls hidden deep in the ocean. He remarked that just as pearls gain value when brought out and strung together, this camp serves as a platform to nurture and unite young talents, enabling them to shine like a beautiful ornament.
Rev. Fr. Dominic Vas, Parish Priest of Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, Vice President Vincy Pinto (Angelore), Secretary Janet, Asumpta Mendonca, and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
The three-day camp, scheduled from April 20 to 22, will provide training in Konkani language, drama, singing, and dance. Academy members Naveen Lobo and Ronald Crasta were also present. The programme was compered by Irene.
