ಚಾರ್ಟರ್ಡ್ ಅಕೌಂಟೆನ್ಸಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್, ಅದರ ಹಂತಗಳು, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ರಚನೆ, ತಯಾರಿ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. Recognising the growing aspirations of Commerce students and the immense opportunities available in the fields of finance, taxation and accounting, Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, Brahmavar, organised a CA Orientation Programme 2026 at the college auditorium to motivate and guide aspiring Chartered Accountants.
The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about the Chartered Accountancy course, its stages, examination structure, preparation requirements and career opportunities. The initiative also aimed to provide additional academic support and professional guidance to CA aspirants, enabling students to pursue their professional ambitions along with their regular academic programmes.
The programme was inaugurated by CA Nagendra Hegde, Manager at Credible CFO, Udupi, who served as the Chief Guest and Inaugurator. With professional exposure in the field of finance and Chartered Accountancy, Mr. Hegde brought valuable practical insights to the orientation programme. He also has three years of teaching experience in CA and CS Foundation and Intermediate-level education, giving him a strong understanding of the academic and professional journey of students aspiring to enter the field of Chartered Accountancy.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Hegde highlighted the dignity, credibility, professional recognition and social responsibility associated with the Chartered Accountancy profession. He emphasised that becoming a Chartered Accountant is not merely about financial success but also about developing a distinct professional identity, professional ethics and a sense of responsibility towards society. Referring to a statement attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the credibility associated with the professional signature of a Chartered Accountant, he motivated students to understand the trust and responsibility that come with entering the profession. His address encouraged students to view Chartered Accountancy as a challenging yet rewarding professional pathway.
Following the inaugural address, Mr. Ganesh Nayak, Department of Commerce & Management, conducted an orientation session on the Chartered Accountancy course. He provided students with a clear and structured overview of the CA course, its different stages, examination pattern, preparation requirements and career opportunities after qualification. He explained the diverse professional avenues available to qualified Chartered Accountants, including accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, consultancy, corporate finance and other specialised areas. The session helped students understand the pathway towards CA qualification and encouraged them to approach the profession with proper planning, discipline, consistency and determination.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Seema G. Bhat, Principal, Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, who, in her presidential remarks, congratulated the CA aspirants for choosing a challenging and prestigious professional course. She encouraged students to remain committed to their goals and make effective use of the academic, mentoring and professional guidance provided by the institution. She expressed confidence that the students would make the best use of the opportunities available to them and work towards achieving excellence in their chosen profession.
Mr. Johnson, IQAC Coordinator, also addressed the gathering and encouraged the students through his inspiring words. He motivated the aspirants to develop confidence, consistency, perseverance and a positive attitude while preparing for the CA examinations. He emphasised the importance of developing not only academic knowledge but also professional competence, discipline and a responsible attitude.
The programme was conducted in an engaging and interactive manner. A Question-and-Answer session formed an important part of the orientation, enabling students to clarify their doubts regarding the CA course, examination structure, preparation strategies and career opportunities. The interaction provided students with practical insights and helped them gain a better understanding of the professional journey ahead.
The programme was compered by Miss Hanan, II BBA, while the welcome address was delivered by Miss Falak, II BBA. The vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Rifa, II B.Com, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, organisers and students for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the programme.
