ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು; 2026-27ನೇ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕರ ಓರಿಯಂಟೇಶನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು 19 ಮತ್ತು 20 ಜೂನ್ 2026 ರಂದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದು ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ – ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಬಿ ಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ, ಬಿ.ಎ. (ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮನಃಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ), ಬಿಸಿಎ, ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಬಿಎ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟು, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳು, ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ (ಮೆಂಟರಿಂಗ್) ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಸೇವೆಗಳು, ನೀತಿಸಂಹಿತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವುದು ಈ ಓರಿಯಂಟೇಶನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಅವಲೋಕನವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಮುಕ್ತಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಡಾ. ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಎನ್. ವಿ. ಅವರು ಪೋಷಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಹಾಗೂ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮದ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಅವರ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಸಂವಾದವು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಬೆಂಬಲಿತ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಉಪಕುಲಪತಿ ರೆ. ಡಾ. ವಿಕ್ಟರ್ ಲೋಬೋ ಎಸ್ಜೆ, ಪ್ರೊ-ವಿಸಿ ಡಾ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟೋ ಸೆಲ್ವನ್, ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರಾರ್ ಡಾ. ವಾಜೀದ್, ಸಿಒಇ ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಾ. ಗಾಡ್ವಿನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರು ಮಾಹಿತಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಅವಧಿಗಳನ್ನು (ಸೆಷನ್ಗಳನ್ನು) ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ, ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ-ಬೆಂಬಲ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಅವಧಿಗಳು ಸಾಂಸ್ಥಿಕ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದವು, ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.
ಈ ಓರಿಯಂಟೇಶನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಸಾರಾ ಕುಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪಾರುಲ್ ಬಾತ್ರಾ ಅವರು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕರ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತು.
Bangalore; St Joseph’s University Student and Parent Orientation Programme 2026–27
Bangalore; The Student and Parent Orientation Programme for the academic year 2026–27, marking the inaugural academic year of St. Joseph’s University – Block B, was conducted on 19 and 20 June 2026 at the University Auditorium. The programme was organized for the newly admitted students and parents of the B.Com, B.A. (Economics, Journalism and Psychology), BCA, and BBA programmes.
The orientation aimed to familiarize students and their parents with the University’s academic framework, examination regulations, mentoring system, student support services, code of conduct, and the various opportunities available for holistic growth and development. It also provided an overview of the academic and administrative processes that students would encounter during their university journey.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Ashwini N. V., Director of Muktha Foundation, addressed the parents and emphasized the significance personal growth, and mental well-being in shaping responsible and successful individuals. Her insightful interaction with parents highlighted the importance of a supportive partnership between families and educational institutions.
The programme also featured informative sessions by University officials, Rev. Dr Victor Lobo SJ, Vice Chancellor, Dr Christo Selvan, Pro-VC, Dr Wajeed, Registrar, Prof Dr. Godwin, COE and others. They introduced various academic, administrative, and student-support initiatives of the University. These sessions provided clarity regarding institutional expectations and available resources, enabling students to begin their academic journey with confidence.
The orientation programme was coordinated by Dr. Sara Kutty and Ms. Parul Batra. The event served as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between the University and parents, while helping students transition smoothly into university life and become active members of the St. Joseph’s University community.
