ATAL Academy Sponsored FDP on Battery Thermal Management Systems Inaugurated at PACE
ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಆ. 3: ಪಿ.ಎ. ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ (ಪೇಸ್), ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮೆಕ್ಯಾನಿಕಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ‘ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಥರ್ಮಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ಸ್: ಪ್ರೆಸೆಂಟ್ & ಫ್ಯೂಚರ್’ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ ಒಂದು ವಾರದ AICTE ATAL Academy ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿತ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ (ಎಫ್ಡಿಪಿ) ಸೋಮವಾರ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 3ರಿಂದ 8ರವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬಿ.ಎಂ.ಎಸ್. ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ನ ಮೆಕ್ಯಾನಿಕಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ. ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಟಿ. ಲಮಾಣಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ವಾಹನ (ಇವಿ) ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಥರ್ಮಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಥರ್ಮಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಗೌರವ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪೇಸ್ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಡೀನ್ ಹಾಗೂ CMSR ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ಅಮೀನ್ ಅಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇವಿ ಉದ್ಯಮ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಉದ್ಯಮದ ನೈಜ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೂರಕವಾದ ನವೀನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಶೋಧಕರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಪೇಸ್ ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಡಾ. ಶರ್ಮಿಳಾ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಎಂ. ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ AICTE ATAL Academyಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೇಸ್ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ರಾಮಿಸ್ ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಚಾಲಿತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಥರ್ಮಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿವಿಧ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸುಮಾರು 50 ಮಂದಿ ಎಫ್ಡಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮೆಕ್ಯಾನಿಕಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಪೈ ಎಂ. ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಎಫ್ಡಿಪಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಡಾ. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರಝಾಕ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ. ಮಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಸಲ್ಮಾನ್ ವಾರಿಮಣಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ. ಶಹಬಾಝ್ ಎಸ್.ಎಂ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ATAL Academy Sponsored FDP on Battery Thermal Management Systems Inaugurated at PACE
Mangaluru, August 3: A one-week AICTE ATAL Academy Sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Battery Thermal Management Systems: Present & Future” was inaugurated at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, P.A. College of Engineering (PACE), Mangaluru, on Monday. The programme will be held from August 3 to 8, 2026.
Dr. Venkatesh T. Lamani, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, inaugurated the programme as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of battery thermal management systems in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) sector. He discussed emerging technologies and key challenges concerning battery safety, performance and longevity.
Guest of Honour Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahammad, Dean – Student Affairs and Director – CMSR, PACE, highlighted the challenges faced by the EV industry and stressed the need for stronger academia-industry collaboration. He called upon academicians and researchers to undertake innovative and application-oriented research addressing real-world industrial requirements.
Dr. Sharmila Kumari M., Vice Principal, PACE, highlighted the role of AICTE ATAL Academy FDPs in enhancing faculty expertise and promoting continuous learning in emerging technologies.
Presiding over the programme, Dr. Ramis M. K., Principal, PACE, emphasised the critical role of effective battery thermal management in ensuring the safety, efficiency and reliability of battery-powered applications.
Around 50 participants from various institutions across the region have registered for the FDP. Heads of departments, teaching and non-teaching faculty members were present.
Dr. Prashanth Pai M., Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Abdul Razak, FDP Coordinator, introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Mahammadsalman Warimani proposed the vote of thanks, while Dr. Shahabaz S. M., Assistant Professor, compered the programme.
