ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 25.2026; ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಪಾಕಪದ್ಧತಿ, ಆಚಾರ-ವಿಚಾರಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಪಾವ್ಸಾಚಿ ಪಕ್ವಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 22.2026 ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ರೆವ. ಫಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ,ರೆವ. ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು , ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸ್ಟ್ ಡಯಾಸ್, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿ,ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ್ಪುರ ವಲಯದ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೊರೀನ್ ಲುವಿಸ್, ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು; ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೋನಿಕಾ ಕರ್ನೆಲಿಯೋ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ಕಾಲದ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಹಿಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರವೇಶವು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅಪಾರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಯಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಹಳೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಳತೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಯುವ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ವಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಇದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಈ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯು ಹಿಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಸುಂದರ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಉತ್ಸಾಹ, ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ 18 ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 13 ಸ್ವ-ಸಹಾಯ ಗುಂಪುಗಳ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯವಾಗಿಸಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಖಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸವಿದು, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಂತೋಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೊರಿನ್ ಲುವಿಸ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ , ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿ ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ವಂದಿಸಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೇನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೋನಿಕಾ ಕಾರ್ನೆಲಿಯೋ ಅವರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

Traditional (Aati) *Monsoon Dishes* Program by Mount Rosary Church Catholic Sthree anghatan

The Traditional Pausachi Pakwana Programme was organised by the Mount Rosary church Catholic Sthree Sanghatan with the aim of preserving and promoting our rich traditional culture, cuisine, customs and spirit of community fellowship.

The programme was graced by our respected dignitaries: Rev. Fr. Roque D’Souza, Parish Priest; Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest; Mr. Baptist Dias, Vice President; Mrs. Priya Furtado, Secretary and President of the Catholic Sthree Sanghatan, Kallianpur Deanery; Mrs. Noreen Lewis, President of Sthree Sanghatan; and Mrs. Monica Cornelio, Secretary of Sthree Sanghatan.

The celebration then witnessed a grand and colourful entry depicting the olden days, with traditional items and objects that beautifully reminded everyone of the customs, lifestyle and heritage of earlier generations. The nostalgic presentation created great excitement and appreciation among the gathering.
Adding more energy and colour to the celebration was the Tarek Pale Deedh Tulu folk dance, performed by our enthusiastic and energetic Sthree Sanghatan members. Their lively performance was greatly appreciated and brought a wonderful traditional spirit to the occasion.

The programme began with a prayer service led by the Sthree Sanghatan members, seeking God’s blessings for the programme and for all those gathered.

The welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Noreen Lewis, President of Sthree Sanghatan, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, members and participants and expressed her happiness at seeing everyone gathered for this special celebration.

The programme was formally inaugurated in a unique and traditional manner. The dignitaries participated in the traditional ritual of pouring rice using olden-day measuring vessels, symbolising abundance, prosperity and the preservation of our rich cultural heritage. This meaningful inauguration beautifully reflected the theme of the Traditional Pausachi Pakwana Programme and brought a nostalgic touch of the customs and practices followed by earlier generations.

This was followed by an encouraging and motivational speech by Mrs. Priya Furtado, Secretary and President of the Catholic Sthree Sanghatan, Kallianpur Deanery. She appreciated the wholehearted participation of the members and encouraged them to remain united, active and committed to the Sthree Sanghatan. She motivated everyone to preserve our traditions, strengthen community bonds and pass our cultural heritage on to the younger generation.

The programme continued with the Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Roque D’Souza, Parish Priest. He appreciated the efforts of the organisers and the enthusiastic participation of all the wards and Swa-Sahaya Groups. He encouraged everyone to continue valuing and preserving their traditions and cultural heritage.

Before the meal, Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest, led the Grace before the Meal, invoking God’s blessings upon the food and everyone gathered.

Cultural Programme and Games
The cultural programme was filled with enthusiasm, creativity and talent. Mrs. Monica Cornelio compered the games and cultural programme with great energy and kept the audience engaged throughout.

The Velankanni Ward presented a beautiful song, adding a melodious touch to the celebration.
This was followed by an entertaining and meaningful skit presented by the Divya Jyothi Swa-Sahaya Group members, which was well received and appreciated by everyone.
The games and other cultural presentations further added fun, laughter and excitement to the celebration, creating a joyful atmosphere among all the members.
The Traditional Pausachi Pakwana Programme provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate tradition, culture, food, talent and fellowship. The active participation of all 18 wards and 13 Swa-Sahaya Groups made the programme truly memorable.
The programme concluded with a delicious dinner, where everyone enjoyed the lovingly prepared homemade traditional dishes and shared a joyful time of fellowship.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Eleven D’Mello, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Parish Priest, Assistant Parish Priest, dignitaries, organisers, all 18 wards, 13 Swa-Sahaya Groups, Sthree Sanghatan members, performers and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
