ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ,ಜು.11:ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್‌ ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ, 2026-27ನೇ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಲಿನ ನೂತನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಭವ್ಯ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಚಂಡೆ ವಾದನದ ಭವ್ಯ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತಂಡದವರು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ಸಭಿಕರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಅತೀ ವಂದನೀಯ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ.ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್‌ ಲುವಿಸ್‌ ಅವರು, “ನಾಯಕತ್ವವೆಂದರೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಲ್ಲ; ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತವಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಗುಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಲೇಜು ಎಂಬ ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಹೊಣೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆತ್ತವರಿಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ತರುವಂತೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೆಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ನೂತನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಟಿಯಾನ ರೇಚಲ್‌ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅಲೀಜಾ ಫಾತಿಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತ್ವೀಶ್‌ ಮೆಂಡನ್,‌ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಹರ್ಷಿತಾ ಪಿ. ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್‌ಮಿನ್ ಅಲಿಶಾ, ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚ್ಯೆತಾ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ವಿಧಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ರೆ.ಫಾ. ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್‌ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ ಎಸ್‌.ಜೆ. ರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಮತ್ತು ದಯಾಗುಣ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದರ್ಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಬ್‌ ಇನ್ಸ್‌ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ (ಎಸ್‌.ಐ) ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಬಾಯಿ ಅವರು ದೀಪ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ತನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಎದುರಾದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಅನುಭವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ‍ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೀನಾ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುರೇಶ್‌ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರೀಯಾಲ್‌ ಲಸ್ರಾದೊ ಕಾಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿ, ಟೀಯಾನ ರೇಚಲ್‌ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

Kallianpur, July 2026:Milagres PU College, Kallianpur, held its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 with great solemnity and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council and the entrustment of leadership responsibilities to its office bearers.

The programme began with the ceremonial escort of the dignitaries amidst the traditional beats of Chande, followed by an invocation prayer. A vibrant Yakshagana welcome dance presented by the students added colour and cultural richness to the occasion.

The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Mendonca SJ, administered the oath of office to the members of the Student Council President, Ms. Tianna D’Souza and other council members. The College Flag was subsequently handed over to the Student President, symbolising leadership, responsibility, and service. The class representatives, cultural representatives and sports representatives were invested by their respective class guides.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Mrs. Muktha Bai congratulated the newly elected office bearers and appreciated their willingness to assume leadership roles. She encouraged students to seek guidance from their lecturers and Principal whenever they encountered academic, personal, or social challenges. She reminded the young leaders that true leadership is rooted in humility, responsibility, and a willingness to learn from others.

In his presidential address, Rev. Msgr. Francis Xavier Lewis reflected on the meaning of leadership through the words “Leader” and “Ship.” Comparing the college to a ship, he explained that student leaders are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the institution towards its goals and aspirations. He urged the office bearers to lead by example, foster unity among students, and uphold the values and traditions of the institution.
