ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ; ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆ (ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್) ಘಟಕವು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಅಭಯಹಸ್ತ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ (ರಿ) ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 10, 2026 ರಂದು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು, ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ 66 ಯೂನಿಟ್ ರಕ್ತ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಡಿಯೋ ವಿಶುವಲ್ ಹಾಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುವ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾಗಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಇದರ ನಂತರ ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಮಿತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೇಘಾ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಸಂದೇಶ ಮಾದರಿಯನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು, ಇದನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಲು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶರಣ್ಯ, I ಬಿಸಿಎ, ಅವರು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನ್ನಿ ಚೇತನಾ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಕಸ್ತೂರ್ಬಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ರಕ್ತ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಡಾ. ವಿವೇಕ್ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ದಾನಿಗಳ ಅರ್ಹತಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ರಕ್ತ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಭಾಷಣವು ಅನುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿತು.
ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಅಭಯಹಸ್ತ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ (ರಿ) ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸತೀಶ್ ಸಾಲಿಯನ್ ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಹಲವಾರು ನಿಜ ಜೀವನದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ, ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು: “ಒಂದು ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ವೈದ್ಯರಾಗುವುದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಲ್ಲ. ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ, ನೀವು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನೀವು ಮೂರು ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಬಹುದು.” ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಘಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಹಯೋಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಆಳ್ವಾ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಈ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಅವರು, ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 60 ಬಾರಿ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಇದು ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದವು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲೆಟ್ ಮಥಿಯಾಸ್, ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಕ್ಲಾರಾ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶುಭಲತಾ ಅವರು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತು. ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಸಹ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾ ಅವರು ಐ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ., ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು. ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ನಂತರ, ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಕಸ್ತೂರ್ಬಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಂಡದ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಶಿಬಿರದ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆಗೆ, ಒಟ್ಟು 66 ಯೂನಿಟ್ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿತು. ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿತು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿತು.
ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಿದ ಅಭಯಹಸ್ತ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ (ರಿ), ಕಸ್ತೂರ್ಬಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಘಟಕವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿತು.
Kallianpur Milagres College; Blood donation camp by NSS unit – 66 units of blood collected
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our college, in association with Abhayahasta Charitable Trust (R), Udupi, successfully organized a blood donation camp on April 10, 2026. The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and volunteers, resulting in the collection of 66 units of blood.
The program commenced at the college’s Audio Visual Hall with a formal inaugural ceremony attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, and NSS volunteers. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the noble cause of saving lives. This was followed by the unveiling of a blood donation message model, designed by NSS volunteers Ms. Shamitha and Ms. Megha, which was created to spread awareness and inspire participation among students.
The gathering was formally welcomed by Ms. Sharanya, I BCA, who extended warm greetings to all the guests and participants. The event was anchored by Ms. Anny Chethana, I B.Com student, who ensured the smooth flow of proceedings.
Dr. Vivek from the Blood Centre at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, addressed the gathering and elaborated on key aspects of blood donation. He explained the eligibility criteria for donors, emphasized the importance of maintaining good health, and created awareness about common blood-related problems. His talk helped dispel myths and encouraged more students to come forward.
Mr. Sathish Salian, President of Abhayahasta Charitable Trust (R), Udupi, highlighted the life-saving value of blood donation. Citing several real-life examples, he conveyed a powerful message to the students: “It is not necessary to become a doctor to save a life. As a common man, if you donate blood, you can save up to three lives.” He also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the NSS unit and the various collaborating departments of the college for organizing the camp.
Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of the college, encouraged students and NSS volunteers to participate in the noble cause. Sharing his personal experience, he proudly stated that he has donated blood 60 times over the years, setting an inspiring example for the youth. His words strongly motivated the gathering to contribute.
The program was graced by Mrs. Shylet Mathias, IQAC Coordinator, along with NSS Officers Dr. Clara Menezes, Mr. Ganesh Nayak, and Mrs. Shubhalatha, whose presence added value to the event. Faculty members, staff, and NSS volunteers also attended in large numbers, reflecting the college’s collective commitment to social responsibility.
The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Prerana, I B.Com. Following the inaugural session, the blood donation drive was conducted smoothly with support from the medical team of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
By the end of the camp, a total of 66 units of blood were successfully collected, making the event both memorable and impactful. The initiative not only contributed to saving lives but also instilled a sense of social duty and compassion among students.
The NSS unit expressed gratitude to Abhayahasta Charitable Trust (R), Kasturba Hospital, and all donors for their support in making the camp a success.
