ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಎಜೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇಎನ್ಟಿ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ. ದೇವನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ TED x St Aloshyus ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರಾಗಿ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ಮಧುಮೇಹ, ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಬೊಜ್ಜುತನವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರು ಈ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಡಾ. ದೇವನ್ ಡಬಲ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ವಿಜೇತರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕ ಇ-ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ತಜ್ಞರು ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ.. ಟೆಡ್ಕ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಧುಮೇಹ, ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಬೊಜ್ಜನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.

Dr Devan, professor of ENT at AJ medical college was invited as a speaker at the recently held highly prestigious TED x St Aloysius Conference held at St Aloysius.
He spoke about his seminal insights on how he cured his own diabetes, hypertension and obesity. Millions are suffering around the world from these maladies, he opined.
Dr Devan is a double gold medalist , whose chapters in the accredited international medical textbook emedicine are read by specialists worldwide..In Tedx he highlighted how he cured himself of diabetes, hypertension and obesity employing revolutionary methods at the cutting edge of medical science.
