INTRUZ Sunday Programme: A Resounding Success at Jeppu Parish
ಮಂಗಳೂರು – ಜೆಪ್ಪುವಿನ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಟ್ರೂಜ್ ಭಾನುವಾರದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಗಣ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿತು.
ಒಂದು ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆಯು ಸ್ಥಳದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಆಳವಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಸೊಬಗಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಸುವ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ನೃತ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಸಭೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಣ್ಯ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಆತಿಥ್ಯದ ಮನೋಭಾವವು ಅಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತರುವುದನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುವ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕಲಾಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆದರೆ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣಾ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಾಕಾಷ್ಠೆಯಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಗಣ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳ ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿತು:

ಎಸ್ಜೆಎನ್ಎಸ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಾಲೆಟ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸಮಗ್ರ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು, ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
‘ಆಸ್ರೋ’ ನಾಟಕದ ಬರಹಗಾರ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗೌರವಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ “ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಬ್ರಾಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ನ ಬೆಂಡ್ಕರ್ಗಳ ಸನ್ಮಾನ”, ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ಗಳ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರಾಕಿ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಥ್ರೂಜ್ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವವು ಸಮುದಾಯದೊಳಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಡ್ಡಿ ಸಿಕ್ವೇರಾ, ಜೆಸ್ಯೂಟ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಹಲವಾರು ನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ನಾಟಕ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ರಂಗ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ, ಬರವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಶ್ರೀ ಲುವಿ ನೆಟ್ಟೊ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಅಪಾರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಕೊಂಕಣ ಕೋಗುಳ್ ವಿಲ್ಫಿ ರೆಬಿಂಬಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.
ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ನಾಟಕ ಸಭೆಯು ಅವಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಅನುಭವದಿಂದ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಸಿಂತಾ ವಿಜಯ್ ಆಲ್ಫ್ರೆಡ್ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ನಾಗರಿಕ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ-ಚಾಲಿತ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು.
ಇಂಥ್ರೂಜ್ ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ನಡೆದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಣೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಮಧುರ ಹಾಡುಗಳ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆಯು ಜೀವಂತವಾಯಿತು.ಮಹಿಳಾ ಗುಂಪಿನಿಂದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹುಡುಗರು ಮತ್ತು ಹುಡುಗಿಯರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ದಿನಚರಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಮೋಡಿ ಮಾಡಿತು.
ದಿನದ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಅಂತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಬರೆದು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಪ್ಪುವಿನ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ನಾಟಕ ಆಸ್ರೋವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನಾಟಕವು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿತು, ನೈತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿತು.
ಜೆಪ್ಪು ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಇಡೀ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಲಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೀನಾ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಅವರು ಪರಿಣಿತವಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಬಡಿಸಿ, ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
INTRUZ Sunday Programme: A Resounding Success at Jeppu Parish
MANGALURU – The INTRUZ Sunday programme was successfully hosted at the St. Joseph Natak Sangha, Jeppu, bringing together community leaders, dignitaries, and participants for an afternoon of cultural and spiritual significance.
The event opened with a profound sense of reverence as a soulful prayer song resonated through the venue, followed by a captivating welcome dance that blended tradition with artistic elegance.
Extending a warm reception to the attendees, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, the Parish Priest, formally welcomed the distinguished dignitaries on the dais and the enthusiastic gathering. This spirit of hospitality culminated in the traditional lighting of the lamp symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and prosperity andsetting a solemn yet celebratory tone for the proceedings.

Mrs. Shalet D’Souza, Secretary of SJNS, delivered a comprehensive annual report, highlighting the organization’s key initiatives and impactful milestones achieved over the past year.
Special honours were conferred upon Writer and Director of the drama ‘Asro’, Mr. Clarence Pinto. The programme included the “Honouring of Bendkars of Jeppu Brass Band,” the recognition of Band Masters, and a special segment to honour local artists. In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. Rocky D’Cunha emphasized the importance of community cohesion and the values that INTRUSE stands for. His leadership reflected the program’s commitment to spiritual and social growth within the community.
In his address as Chief Guest, Mr Eddie Sequeira recalled how the Natak Sangh was established after Jesuit priests recognized the need to nurture and promote local talent in the region. He noted that several plays were successfully staged by local artistes, highlighting the abundance of creative talent in the area.
He fondly remembered two distinguished personalities — Late Mr. Luvy Netto, who also served in the Konkani Natak Sabha and was known for his excellence in stage setting, writing and direction; and the Late Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus, internationally acclaimed for his immense contribution to Konkani music.
He further remarked that the Natak Sabha evokes a surreal and sacred feeling, comparable to the atmosphere at the Jeppu Church.
Mrs. Jacintha Vijay Alfred shared her insights on community service, drawing from her extensive experience as an Corporator. Her presence highlighted the strong link between civic leadership and community-driven initiatives.
Following the Prize Distribution for various games held on the occasion of Intruse Sunday, the stage came alive with a diverse cultural showcase of Melodious songs that captivated the audience.Dynamic dance performances by the ladies’ group, as well as energetic routines by the boys and girls enthralled the audience.
A theatrical performance that served as a fitting finale to the day’s celebrations was set with the staging of the Konkani play Asro, written and directed by Mr. Clarence Pinto, and performed by the Artists of Jeppu. The value-based social drama struck a chord with the audience, reinforcing moral values and earning wide appreciation.
President of Jeppu Natak Sangh Mr Michael Dsouza expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the programme’s resounding success. The entire proceedings were expertly navigated by Mrs Zeena Pinto.
The programme concluded with fellowship, as food was served to all the guests, marking a spirit of togetherness and celebrating the centenary milestone.
