ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 8, 2026 ರ ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣವರ ಮಿಷನರಿ ಮೇಳದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಆಳವಾದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೇಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದರು.
ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9.15 ಕ್ಕೆ ಗಂಭೀರವಾದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುವ ಬಲಿದಾನದ ಆಚರಣೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಯುವ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೆನ್ಹಸ್ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಬಲಿದಾನದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಸೇವಕರು, ಸುಮಧುರ ಗಾಯಕರ ಗಾಯನದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳವರೆಗೆ, ಬಲಿದಾನದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅಂಶವು ಯುವ ಹೃದಯಗಳ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನರಿ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೆನ್ಹಸ್ ಅವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಾಲ್ಯವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಮಯ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು. ತಾಯಿ ಮೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಅವರ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಜೀವನದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ವಿಧೇಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸರಳ ನೈತಿಕ ಕಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತಗಳಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರ ಸಂದೇಶವು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನ ಮತ್ತು ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.
ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರಾದ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಆನ್ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆರ್. ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ನೀತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸೊಬಗನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು.
ಮಿಷನರಿ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ದಿನವು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಚಿಕ್ಕವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ದಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹರಡಬಲ್ಲ ನಿಜವಾದ ಮಿಷನರಿಗಳು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು, ಯುವ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷಿಯನ್ನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು, ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಮಿಷನರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು.
ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ, ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯವಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಟಕರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಇದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನರಿ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Missionary Childhood Day Celebrated with Joy and Devotion at Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte–Kallianpur.
Missionary Childhood Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and deep spiritual fervour at Mount Rosary Church, on Sunday 8th February, 2026 as a large number of children gathered to thank God for the precious gift of childhood and to pray for children across the world.
The celebration began with a solemn Thanksgiving High Mass at 9.15 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, the young and energetic Assistant Parish Priest, who warmly united the children and faithful in prayer. The liturgy of the Eucharist was beautifully and meaningfully led by the children themselves. From the neatly dressed Altar server’s, melodious choir singing to the reverent offertory procession and heartfelt Prayers of the Faithful, every aspect of the Mass reflected the innocence, faith and missionary spirit of young hearts.
The homily by Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas was the highlight of the celebration. In his engaging and inspiring message, he reminded the children that childhood is a precious gift from God and a special time to grow in love, faith and goodness. Drawing from the life of Jesus in the Holy Family of Mother Mary and St. Joseph, he encouraged the children to nurture prayer, obedience and compassion in their daily lives. His message, enriched with simple moral stories and parables, kept both primary and high school students attentive and deeply engrossed.
The presence of Sr. Ancilla R. D’Mello, HM of Mount Rosary English Medium High School, along with all the catechism teachers, added grace to the celebration as they guided and supported the children in organising the liturgy and prayers.
Missionary Childhood Day is a reminder that children, though young, are true missionaries who can spread the love of Jesus through prayer, kindness and sharing. The celebration at Mount Rosary Church beautifully highlighted this message, inspiring the young parishioners to grow as little missionaries of Christ in their families, school and society.
The parish community expressed heartfelt appreciation to the children, teachers and organisers for making the celebration prayerful, meaningful and memorable. It was indeed a joyful day of thanksgiving, faith and missionary commitment for the children of Mount Rosary Church.
