ಸಂತೆಕಟ್ಟೆ–ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2, 2025: ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ಆಟಿ ಮಾಸದ (ಜುಲೈ 15 – ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 15) ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಲು, ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಸಂತೆಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಮಿಲೇನಿಯಮ್ ಆಡಿಟೋರಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಆಟಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.

ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಟಿ ರೈತರು ಭತ್ತದ ಕೃಷಿಯ ನಂತರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಋತುವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಆಟಿ ತಿಂಗಳ ತಿನಿಸುಗಳು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಜೀವಂತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೇಯ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು 24 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು, ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಬೇಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ತರಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಾಳೆ ಎಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಡಿಸಿದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭೋಜನವು ‘ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ’ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಆಗಿತ್ತು, ಇದನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು, ಅವರು ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೇಯ ಮಹಾ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೊರೀನ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೋನಿಕಾ ಕಾರ್ನೆಲಿಯೊ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು. ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಭಗಿನಿಯರು, ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಿರು ಆಟಗಳು, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡಿತು. ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಾರಿಯಾ ವಿಲ್ಮಾ ರೇಗೊ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆಟಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ 2025 ಅದ್ಭುತ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು, ರುಚಿ ಮೊಗ್ಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ರೈತ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನರುಜ್ಜೀವನಗೊಳಿಸಿತು.

Mount Rosary Stree Sanghatan Celebrates Aati Sambhram with Traditional Flavours

Santhekatte–Kallianpur, 2nd August 2025: To revive the fading traditions of the rainy month Aati (July 15 – August 15), the Stree Sanghatan of Mount Rosary Church organized a grand Aati Sambhram at the Millennium Auditorium, Santhekatte.

In earlier times, Aati was a season when farmers rested after paddy cultivation, and families prepared special delicacies known as Aati tingala tinisugallu. Bringing this legacy alive, the women of Stree Sanghatan prepared over 24 traditional dishes, some cooked on the spot and others brought from their homes. The highlight was a special dinner served on banana leaves, which was relished by all.

The stage programme was presided over by Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza, Parish Priest, who appreciated the initiative. Mrs. Noreen Lewis, President of the Stree Sanghatan Maha Sangha, welcomed the gathering, while Secretary Mrs. Monica Carnelio coordinated the event. The celebration was further graced by priests, religious sisters, parish leaders, and guests who lauded the efforts to preserve culture.

Games, cultural performances, and community participation added colour to the evening. Mrs. Maria Wilma Rego, Treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks.

The Aati Sambhram 2025 was a resounding success, delighting taste buds while reviving cherished memories of tradition, togetherness, and gratitude to the farming community.
