ಮಂಗಳೂರು : ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ನಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತ ಇಗ್ನೇಶಿಯಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಲೊಯೋಲಾ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಜುಲೈ 30 ರಂದು ಬಹಳ
ಅರ್ಥಭರಿತವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ರೆ.ಫಾ.ಅಜಯ್ ಡಿ ಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಎಸ್
ಜೆ ಯವರು ಸಂತ ಇಗ್ನೇಶಿಯಸ್ ಲೊಯೋಲಾರವರ ತತ್ವ, ಆದರ್ಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ರ.ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ ಅಲ್ಮಡ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಸಂತ ಇಗ್ನೇಶಿಯಸ್ ಆಫ್
ಲೊಯೋಲಾರವರ ಜೀವನ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ, ಕೇವಲ ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಬದುಕದೆ.
ಇತರರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂಬ.
ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾರೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪರ್ಣ ಸುರೇಶ್
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದ
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ಐರಾ ಜೀದು, ಅಮೀರಾ ಸಾಬಿರ್
ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರೆ, ಕೇಟ್ರಿಯಲ್ ಜೋಯೆ ಪಿಂಟೋ, ಫರ್ಹಾನ್ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕರಿಂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನಿತ್ತರು. ಸಿಯಾನ ಶಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು
ಪಿಯರ್ಸ್ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅದ್ವಿಕ್ ಹೆಜಮಾಡಿ ಗಡಿಯಾರ್, ಜಹ್ವಾ ಹನೀಫ್, ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ಯುಯೆಲ್ ಸಿ.
ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಮಾರ್ಕ್, ಅಬ್ರಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola Celebrated at Gonzaga School
Mangaluru : The Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 30th July 2025 at the St. Aloysius Gonzaga School Hall for students of Classes VI to XII. The event was graced by Fr Ajay D’Silva SJ, Administrator of Fathima Retreat House, Mangaluru, along with Principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ and Vice Principal Ms Laurel D’souza.
In his address, Fr Ajay Silva mentioned ‘7 Cs’ – commitment, collaboration, and contemplation, to name a few – conveying the Ignatian spirit, and inspired the students by sharing how St. Ignatius’ life was transformed into one of service and devotion to God. The Principal’s message urged students to follow St Ignatius’ values and strive for the greater glory of God. Classes I to V celebrated the feast which was graced by the Principal and the Vice-principal. Highlights of the celebration included a prayer song, live demonstration on the life of St Ignatius of Loyola, skit, special song, dance performance, and a video presentation showcasing competitions held for the feast. The winners of solo singing, online quiz, and sports competitions were felicitated during the programme. The event brought together the vibrant spirit of the school community to honour the life and values of the patron saint of the Jesuits.
