ಬೊಂದೆಲ್, ಜುಲೈ 30: ಸಂತ ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆ, ಬೊಂದೆಲ್ನ ನವೀಕೃತ ಸಭಾಂಗಣವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಸಿಪ್ರಿಯಾನ್ ಮೊಂತೆರೊ ಅವರು ರಿಬ್ಬನ್ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ‘ರೆಸೊನನ್ಸ್–2026’ರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ರೆಮೋನಾ ಎವಿಯೆಟ್ ಪಿರೇರಾ ಅವರು ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಬೆಸಿಲ್ ವಾಸ್ ಅವರು ಸಭಾಂಗಣವನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು.
ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸಾಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ರೆಮೋನಾ ಎವಿಯೆಟ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಉನ್ನತ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡಬೇಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ರಂಜಿಸಿತು.
ಡಾ. ಸಿಪ್ರಿಯಾನ್ ಮೊಂತೆರೊ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾ. ಬೆಸಿಲ್ ವಾಸ್ ಅವರು ರೆಮೋನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ.ಸಿ ಪ್ರಿಯನ್ ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಭಾಂಗಣದ ನವೀಕರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ₹10 ಲಕ್ಷ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾಜಿ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಫಾ. ಆಂಡ್ರ್ಯೂ ಲಿಯೋ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ, ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಫಾ. ಪೀಟರ್ ಗೊನ್ಸಲ್ವಿ ಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಭಾಂಗಣದ ನವೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ನವೀನ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ವಾಸ್ (ಸೀಲಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳಾಂಗಣ ಕೆಲಸ), ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿ ಎಫ್. ಸಾಲ್ದಾನ್ಹಾ (AC ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ), ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ದೀಪಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಿಥುನ್ (ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕೆಲಸ) ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜುಲೈ 30 ಮತ್ತು 31ರಂದು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾ. ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ, ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೀಶ್ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೆಲೆನ್ ಮೇರಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಮರಿಯಾ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
Renovated Auditorium Inaugurated; Resonance–2026 Takes Off in Grand Style
Bondel, July 30: The renovated auditorium of St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony on Thursday, July 30, marking the beginning of the much-awaited Resonance–2026 cultural fest.
The renovated auditorium was inaugurated by Dr Cyprian Monteiro, Retired Director of Education, Karnataka, by cutting the ribbon. Miss Remona Eveatte Pereira, Chief Guest of Resonance–2026 and a distinguished Bharatanatyam artiste, inaugurated the cultural fest by releasing the official banner. The auditorium was solemnly blessed by Rev. Fr Basil Vas, Joint Secretary of the institution.
Miss Remona Eveatte Pereira was felicitated for her extraordinary achievements in Bharatanatyam. Addressing the students, she inspired them to dream higher, believe in themselves and never give up their “crazy ideas.” Her motivational words were followed by a captivating Bharatanatyam performance that enthralled the audience.
Dr Cyprian Monteiro was also felicitated in recognition of his remarkable achievements and contribution to the field of education. Addressing the gathering, he urged the students to make the best use of every opportunity provided by the school and to utilise them to realise their full potential.
Presiding over the programme, Rev. Fr Basil Vas called upon the students to draw inspiration from the lives and achievements of Remona and Dr Cyprian. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr Michael D’Souza for his generous sponsorship of ₹10 lakh towards the renovation of the auditorium and other projects. He also acknowledged the contribution of former Joint Secretary Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, who initiated the project, and congratulated Principal Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves for successfully transforming the vision into reality.
The programme was colourful, vibrant and systematically organised, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing students with opportunities to showcase their abilities. The cultural competitions commenced with Bharatanatyam, scheduled for July 30 and 31, with several other events to follow.
The dignitaries present on the dais included Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Parish Priest; Mr John D’Silva, Vice President of the PPC; Mr Manish Santhosh Mascarenhas, Vice President of the PTA; Mrs Helen Mary Fernandes, Headmistress, St Lawrence Aided School; and Miss Maria D’Silva, wife of Dr Cyprian Monteiro.
The Joint Secretary also gratefully acknowledged and felicitated those who contributed significantly to the renovation and upgradation of the auditorium. Mr Naveen Prakash Vas, for undertaking the ceiling and interior works, while Mr Ravi F. Saldanha for the installation of the air-conditioning system. Mr Deepak and Mr Mithun for their dedicated efforts in carrying out the electrical works and other essential technical work.
The inauguration of the renovated auditorium and the launch of Resonance–2026 thus became a memorable celebration of achievement, culture, inspiration and community spirit at St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel.
