Ninth day Novena at Our Lady of Health, Harihar, Diocese of Shimoga
ಹರಿಹರದ ಮೈನರ್ ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಹರ ಮಾತೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಾಗಿ ಒಂಬತ್ತನೇ ದಿನದ ನೊವೆನಾವು ಸಂಜೆ 5:30 ಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯ ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಬಾಲಕರ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ವರದಿಗಾರ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಸ್ಟಾನಿಸ್ಲಾಸ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ರೋಸರಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ರೋಸರಿ ನಂತರ ಗಂಭೀರ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹರಿಹರ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ, ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಕೆ.ಎ. ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊವೆನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳು ನಡೆದವು.
ಸಂಜೆ 6:30 ಕ್ಕೆ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಎಸ್ಜೆ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು:

ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಅವರು ಎಕ್ಸೋಡಸ್ 22:21–27 ಮತ್ತು ಲೂಕ 7:11–15 ರ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಂತನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಧವೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧುರರ ನೋವು, ಹೋರಾಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಒಂಟಿತನವನ್ನು ಮಾತೃ ಮೇರಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಸ್ವತಃ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಬದ್ಧತೆ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ, ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಜೀವನವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಹರಿಹರ ಮಠವು ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಮತ್ತು ಭರವಸೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ. ನೋವು, ದುಃಖ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಟದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮಾತೆ ಮೇರಿ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಭರವಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕೃತ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯತ್ತ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ನ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೈನರ್ ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾದ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಕೆ.ಎ., ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಎಸ್ಜೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ ಪರವಾಗಿ, ಫಾದರ್ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಕೆ.ಎ. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಫಾದರ್ ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಫಾದರ್ ಪಿಯಸ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮಾತೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕೆ, ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಮತ್ತು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಕೋರಿ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಹಲವಾರು ಯಾತ್ರಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು.
ಹೀಗೆ ನೊವೆನಾದ ಒಂಬತ್ತನೇ ದಿನವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಮತ್ತು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವಿಕೆಯ ಆಳವಾದ ಅನುಭವವಾಯಿತು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಭಕ್ತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನ, ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿಹರ ಮಠದ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮಾತೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
Ninth day Novena at Our Lady of Health, Harihar, Diocese of Shimoga
The ninth day of the Novena in preparation for the feast of Our Lady of Health, Harihara Matha, at the Minor Basilica, Harihara, began at 5:30 p.m. with the praying of the Holy Rosary led by Rev. Fr. Alvine Stanislaus, Manager and Correspondent of Lourdes Boys School, Davanagere.
The Rosary was followed by a solemn procession and floral homages offered to Harihara Matha. Thereafter, the Novena prayers were led by the Basilica Rector and Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. George K. A.
At 6:30 p.m., Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Mysore, celebrated the Holy Eucharist. In his homily, he reflected on the theme:
“Mother Mary, Mother of Widows and Widowers”

Bishop Francis Serrao based his reflection on Exodus 22:21–27 and Luke 7:11–15. He explained how Mother Mary deeply understands the pain, struggles and loneliness of widows and widowers, having herself experienced widowhood. Her life of commitment, dedication, courage and responsibility, he said, should be an inspiration to all Christians.
The Bishop further emphasized that Harihara Matha is a place of consolation and hope, especially for those who are marginalized and pushed to the peripheries of society. Mother Mary consoles all those who approach her with pain, sorrow and suffering, leading them towards hope and renewed faith.
At the conclusion of the Holy Eucharist, Rev. Fr. George K. A., Rector of the Minor Basilica, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Francis Serrao SJ for celebrating the Eucharist and delivering the inspiring homily. On behalf of the Diocese of Shimoga, Fr. George K. A. honoured the Bishop.
Following the Mass, Rev. Fr. Franklin D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Pius D’Souza led the healing prayers and Eucharistic Benediction. The priests then prayed over the numerous pilgrims who had gathered, seeking the intercession, consolation and healing grace of Our Lady of Health.
The ninth day of the Novena thus became a profound experience of prayer, consolation and healing, as the faithful entrusted their lives, families and struggles to the loving intercession of Harihara Matha, Our Lady of Health.
