(ICYM) 54 feet tall Christmas star formation from Puttur Mai Devus Church unit
ಪುತ್ತೂರು; ಭಾರತೀಯ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಯುವ ಚಳುವಳಿ (ICYM), ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಘಟಕವು ಮಾಯ್ ದೇವುಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ 54 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಲು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಭರವಸೆ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ನ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
“ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ” ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವಾರಗಳ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ, ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವಕರು ಉಕ್ಕು, ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು LED ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಳೆಯುವ ದಾರಿದೀಪವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದರು.
“ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಏನನ್ನಾದರೂ ರಚಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಭಜನೆಯಾಗುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಈ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಅದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರತ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತದೆ,” – ಸುಶಾಂತ್ ವೇಗಾಸ್, ICYM ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು.
ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವಕರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್, ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಮಾರ್ವಿನ್ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಮತ್ತು ಆನಿಮೇಟರ್ ರೋಹನ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ. ICYM ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಗಲು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು. ಬೇಸ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಚರ್ ಅನ್ನು ವೆಲ್ಡಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ವೈರಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಅದ್ಭುತ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ICYM ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಘಟಕವು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಚರ್ಚ್ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಸಂಜೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವು ನಮ್ಮ ಘಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇವಲ ದಾಖಲೆಯ ಯೋಜನೆಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ “ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸದ್ಭಾವನೆ” ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹರಡುವ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Puttur;The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Puttur Unit, is happy to announce the completion of a 54-feet Christmas Star at Mai De Deus Church. This project celebrates hope, unity, and the joy of the Christmas.
The “Star of Puttur” is more than just a pretty sight. It symbolizes our community’s strength. After weeks of planning and hard work, our youth transformed steel, fabric, and over a thousand LED lights into a shining beacon.
“Our goal was to create something that brings people together. In a world that often feels divided, this star represents the light of Christ that guides us toward peace and brotherhood,” – Sushanth veigas, President of the ICYM Puttur Unit.
This project highlights the strength of our youth. With guidance from the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Marwin Praveen Lobo and Animator Rohan Dias. ICYM Puttur members worked hard, day and night. They handled everything from welding the base structure to wiring the lights.
The ICYM Puttur Unit invites everyone to visit the church to see this wonderful star. It will be lit every evening during the Christmas season.
We believe this star is not just a record-breaking project for our unit, but a gift to the city of Puttur, spreading the message of “Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all.”
