ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ: ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾನಿಗಳ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಸಿಗುವ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸದ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಿಂದಲೇ ದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ.ಎನ್. ಕೋದಂಡರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಯಲ್ದೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮಾದರಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಾನಿಗಳ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ವಿತರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಸಮಾಜದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ಮಗುವಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಿಗುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಾನಿಗಳೂ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೂ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಎನ್. ಹರಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ದೇಶದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು. ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ, ಭಾಷೆ ಬೇಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆಯಬೇಕು. ಬಡ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದಾಗ ದೇಶದ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗೀಣ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮೇಲುಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಎಂ.ಪಿ. ರಮೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಥರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ವಿ. ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯವರ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನೋಟ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.

ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಎಸ್.ಟಿ. ನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಕರವೇ ಯಲ್ದೂರು ಹೋಬಳಿ ಘಟಕದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಎಲ್. ಮುರಳಿ ಮೋಹನ್, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಎಂ. ಮುನಿರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಎನ್. ನಳಿನಿ, ಎಸ್. ಆದಿಲ್ ಪಾಷಾ, ಎಲ್.ವಿ. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನಾಯರ್‌ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಘಟಕದ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಭೆಯು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ  ಕೆ.ಪಿ.ಟಿ ಬಳಿಯಿರುವ ಎಸ್‌. ಕ್ಯೂಬ್‌ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜರುಗಿತು,   ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಭೆಯ ನಂತರ ಜರುಗಿದ ಮುಂದಿನ 2026-28 ನೇ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಳಿ ಹೊಸಮಜಲು, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ವಿ.ಎಮ್.ಸತೀಶನ್‌ ಪುನರಾಯ್ಕೆಗೊಂಡರು. ಖಜಾಂಚಿಯಾಗಿ  ಶ್ರೀ ಅಜಯಕುಮಾರ್‌ , ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ  ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಾಸಂತಿ ನಾಯರ್‌, ಜತೆ  ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಂಜು ಅಜಿತ್, ಜತೆ ಖಜಾಂಚಿಯಾಗಿ ರವೀಂದ್ರನಾಥ್‌,  ಬೋರ್ಡ್  ಮೆಂಬರುಗಳಾಗಿ  ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಜಯಕುಮಾರ್‌, ಎಮ್.ವಿ. ರಾಜನ್‌, ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಮೋಹನ್‌ ರವರು, ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ  ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋತಿಷ್‌ ಕುಮಾರ್‌, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ  ಚಂದ್ರಮೋಹನ್‌ , ಶ್ರೀ ಮಣಿಕಂಠನ್‌, ಶ್ರೀ ವಿನೋದ್‌ವಿನೋದ್‌ರಾಜ್‌, ಹರೀಶ್‌ ಗೋವಿಂದ್‌, ದೇವರಾಜ್‌ , ವಿನಯನ್‌ ನಾಯರ್‌, ಆಯ್ಕೆಗೊಂಡರು.

ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಜಾತಾ ನಾಯರ್‌, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶ್ರೀಜಾ ನಂಬಿಯಾರ್‌, ಹಾಗೂ ಖಜಾಂಚಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಿಕಾ ರಾಣಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.  ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಭಾ ವಿಜಯಕುಮಾರ್‌, ಜತೆಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಅನಿತಾ ಜಯಚಂದ್ರನ್‌  ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 

ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಡುಪಿ ಘಟಕ ಸಜಿ ಪಿಳ್ಳೈ ಹಾಗೂ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಮೋಹನ್ ದಾಸ್‌, ಉಡುಪಿ ಅವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

Murali Hosamajalu Re-elected as President of Karnataka Nair Service Society

At the General Body Meeting of the Karnataka Nair Service Society, Mangalore Unit, held at the S-Cube Centre Hall near KPT, Mangalore, Mr. Murali Hosamajalu was re-elected as President for the 2026–28 term. Following the General Body Meeting, elections were conducted, and Mr. V.M. Satheeshan was re-elected as Secretary.

The newly elected office bearers are:

• President: Mr. Murali Hosamajalu
• Secretary: Mr. V.M. Satheeshan
• Treasurer: Mr. Ajay Kumar
• Vice President: Mrs. Vasanthi Nair
• Joint Secretary: Mrs. Manju Ajith

The election process was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Saji Pillai from the Udupi Unit as the Election Officer, with Mr. Mohan Das from Udupi serving as the Observer.

ಹಿರಿಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮಿ, ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಸಂಘಟಕ, “ಕುಂದಪ್ರಭ” ವಾರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಪಾದಕ ಕುಂಭಾಸಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಉ. ಸುರೇಂದ್ರ ಶೆಣೈ (ಯು. ಎಸ್. ಶೆಣೈ, ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ)ಯವರನ್ನು ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕು 20ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ “ನುಡಿ ಬೆಳಕು 2026” ರ ಸರ್ವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಸಾಪ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನೀಲಾವರ ಸುರೇಂದ್ರ ಅಡಿಗರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತು ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ| ಉಮೇಶ ಪುತ್ರನ್ ಈ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರೇರಕರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹಲವಾರು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಿ, ನೂರಾರು ಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯಲು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ, ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಯು. ಎಸ್. ಶೆಣೈಯವರು ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಉಳಿವಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದವರು. ಬರಹಗಾರರ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬರಹಗಾರರನ್ನು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಪ್ತಾಹ”, “ಕನ್ನಡ ಡಿಂಡಿಮ”, “ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಉತ್ಸವ”, “ನುಡಿ ಬೆಳಕು” ಮುಂತಾದ ನಿರಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದವರು.
“ಕುಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ವೇದಿಕೆ”ಯ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಇವರು ಕುಂದಾಪ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಕಳೆದ 4 ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ, ಕಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಜೂನ್ 28 ರಂದು ಕುಂಭಾಸಿ ಆನೆಗುಡ್ಡೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿನಾಯಕ ಸಭಾ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು 20ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಸರ್ವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಸಾಪ ಗೌರವ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕೋಟ, ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಮನೋಹರ ಭಟ್, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಕಸಾಪ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ದಿನಕರ ಆರ್. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಕೆ. ಎಸ್. ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಅಕ್ಷತಾ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ 2026- 27 ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಲಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ ನ ಪದಗ್ರಹಣ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಜೂನ್ 17 ರಂದು ಜರಗಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ. ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ, ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಅಪರ್ಣಾ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಕ್ಯಾರೋಲ್ ಟೀನಾ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗ್ಸ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಜ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ.ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್ .ಜೆ‌ ಅವರು ನೂತನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಚನ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಯಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ  ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಉತ್ತಮ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಎಂದರೆ ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಒಬ್ಬ ನಿಜವಾದ ನಾಯಕನು ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜದ ಒಳಿತಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಾತೆಯ ಕಾಳಜಿಯ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ಬ್ಲೇಸಿಯಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ (5C) ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಎಂ. ಧುವಿಶ್ರೀ (5D) ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ಹೊಸ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದ ತಮ್ಮ ಕನಸುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಕತೀಜಾ ಇನಾಯಾ ರಿಯಾಝ್ (5C) ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ  ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ  ಸುಷ್ಮಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಲಿಯಾಮ್ ಮ್ಯಾಟ್ ಸೆಬಾಸ್ಟಿಯನ್ (5C) ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

5ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

St Aloysius Gonzaga School organised the Investiture Ceremony of the Junior Student Council on 17 June 2026 for the academic year 2026–27 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The ceremony began with a dignified march-past as the newly elected student leaders entered the hall in procession, setting the tone for an occasion that celebrated responsibility, service, and leadership.

Principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Vice-principal Ms Aparna Suresh and Academic Coordinator Ms Carol Tina Rodrigues, conferred badges to the newly elected student council members.

The Principal, Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, administered the Investiture Pledge, which was solemnly repeated by the newly elected student council members, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values and responsibilities of the school.

In his ceremonial address, congratulated the newly formed school council members and highlighted two important aspects of leadership: he emphasised that true leadership is about serving others rather than being served by others, and stressed the importance of teamwork, reminding the young leaders that collective effort and mutual support are the keys to success.

The Head Boy, Mark Blasius Dsouza of class VC, and the Head Girl, M. Dhuvishree of class VD, expressed their gratitude and shared their visions for the upcoming academic year. Ms Sushma compered the programme, Kathija Inaya Riyaz of Class VC, welcomed the gathering and Liam Matt Sebastian of Class VC proposed the vote of thanks. The programme coordinators were Class V teachers and PE Teachers.

The ceremony concluded with the unison recital of the National Anthem.

ಜೂನ್ 14, 2026 ರ ಭಾನುವಾರ, ಉದ್ಯಾವರ ಬಳಿಯ ಸಂಪಿಗೆ ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಭತ್ತದ ಗದ್ದೆಗಳು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಮತ್ತು ಹಳೆಯ ನೋಟದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೀವಂತವಾದವು – ನಾಟಿಯ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ, ಎಳೆಯ ಭತ್ತದ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಸಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

ಮಾನ್ಸೂನ್ ಮಳೆ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಜೂನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯು ಕೃಷಿಯಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಭೂಮಿಯೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಆಳವಾದ ಬೇರೂರಿರುವ ಸಂಪರ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿತು.

ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೇಯ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದರು, ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಗೆದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.. ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಮಲ ಭತ್ತದ ಸಸಿಗಳ ಬುಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರು ಲಯಬದ್ಧ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದಿಂದ ಚಲಿಸಿದರು, ನಾಟಿಯ ಋತುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸುವ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಜಾನಪದ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಅವರ ಧ್ವನಿಗಳು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದವು.

ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಜೋಡಿಸಲಾದ ಸಾಲುಗಳು ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ದಶಕಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಎದ್ದುಕಾಣುವ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದವು – ಕೃಷಿ ಕೇವಲ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರದೆ ಜೀವನ ವಿಧಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯ. ಗದ್ದೆಗಳ ಉಳುಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಮ್ಮೆಗಳ ಪರಿಚಿತ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶದ ಮನೋಭಾವವು ತುಂಬಾ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಶ್ರಮದ ಘನತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಷಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದವು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ 25 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಈ ‘ರೊಂಫ್’ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸುವ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೊರೀನ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕರ್ನೆಲಿಯೊ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಮರ್ಥ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಮನ್ವಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಲಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡದ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಈ ಪೂರ್ಣ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು.

ಕೇವಲ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ, ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಜೀವಂತ ಪಾಠವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು – ಒಬ್ಬರ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ. ಇದು ಕೃಷಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನವೀಕೃತ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಾಗ ತಂಡದ ಕೆಲಸ, ಸ್ಥಿತಿಸ್ಥಾಪಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಗೌರವದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು.

ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ, “ನಟ್ಟಿ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕೇವಲ ಭತ್ತದ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಇದು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಬೀಜಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದು, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡುವ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಲು ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

In an inspiring effort to revive and celebrate age-old agrarian traditions, the Stree Sanghatan of Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte–Kallianpur, once again demonstrated its creative commitment to preserving cultural heritage and social values.
On Sunday, 14th June 2026, the serene paddy fields of Sampige Nagara near Udyavar came alive with a rare and nostalgic sight — the traditional practice of Natti, the transplantation of young rice seedlings.
At a time when monsoon showers have been hesitant, especially this year in June and modern lifestyles increasingly distant from agriculture, this initiative stood as a powerful reminder of the region’s deep-rooted connection with the land.

In a remarkable display of unity and enthusiasm, a large number of Stree Sanghatan women gathered, gracefully dressed in traditional village attire, ready to step into the muddy fields. Carrying baskets of tender rice seedlings on their heads, they moved in rhythmic harmony, singing soulful folk songs that once echoed across the countryside during planting seasons. Their voices, filled with joy and camaraderie, not only encouraged one another but also rekindled memories of a bygone era.
The neatly aligned rows of participants working together painted a vivid picture reminiscent of rural life four to five decades ago — a time when agriculture was not merely a profession but a way of life. Though the familiar sight of buffaloes ploughing the fields was absent, the spirit of collective labour and shared purpose was very much alive.

This meaningful initiative was further strengthened by the presence and encouragement of the Parish Priest, Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza, who appreciated the efforts of the women in reconnecting with a once-thriving occupation of the district. His words reinforced the importance of remembering and honouring the dignity of labour and the cultural identity tied to cultivation.

It is particularly noteworthy that this event forms part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Stree Sanghatan in the Udupi Diocese. As one of the 25 programmes planned for the jubilee year, this ‘Natti’ or ‘Romph’ in Konkani stands out as a unique and impactful endeavour that blends tradition with community participation.

Under the able leadership of President Ms. Noreen Lewis, Secretary Ms. Carnelio, and other dedicated office bearers, the programme was conducted with great coordination and zeal. The active involvement of Deanery President Ms. Priya Furtado and her team added further strength to this full-day event.

More than just a cultural activity, this initiative served as a living lesson for younger generations — a reminder that progress should not come at the cost of forgetting one’s roots. It beautifully highlighted the values of teamwork, resilience, and respect for labour, while fostering a renewed appreciation for agriculture.

Indeed, the “Natti” programme was not merely about planting rice seedlings; it was about sowing seeds of tradition, nurturing community bonds, and harvesting memories that will inspire generations to come.

ವಿಜಯಪುರ: ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಸ್ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಭೀಕರ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ  ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಚಡಚಣ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಲೋಣಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಬಳಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.  ಹತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಚಡಚಣದತ್ತ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್‌ನ ಮುಂಭಾಗದ ಟೈರ್ ದಿಢೀರನೆ ಬ್ಲಾಸ್ಟ್ (ಸ್ಫೋಟ) ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ, ಚಡಚಣದಿಂದ ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಬಸ್‌ಗೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಡಿಕ್ಕಿಯ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡೂ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಜ್ಜುಗುಜ್ಜಾಗಿದೆ.

ಡಿಕ್ಕಿಯ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಬಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 6 ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ 17 ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣ-ಪುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಚಡಚಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ: ಮಾವಿನ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಸೀಸನ್ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪಿಎಂಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಮಾವು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ನೂರಾರು ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾವಿನಕಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾವಿನ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಾಗಾಟ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಪುರ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರೇಡಿಯಂ ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಕರ್ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಎಪಿಎಂಸಿ ಮಾವು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ವಾಹನಗಳ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ರೇಡಿಯಂ ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಕರ್ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಚಾಲಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಲೀಕರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.

ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ಗೋಚರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ರೇಡಿಯಂ ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಕರ್‌ಗಳು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಂಜಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಇನ್ಸ್‌ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್, ಪಿಎಸ್‌ಐ ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಚಾಲಕರಿಗೆ ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮ ಪಾಲನೆ, ಅತಿವೇಗ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ವಾಹನಗಳ ದೀಪ, ಇಂಡಿಕೇಟರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರಿಫ್ಲೆಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕುರಿತು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಾವು ಸಾಗಾಟದ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರರ ಜೀವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಕುಂದಾಪುರ; ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕು ಘಟಕದಿಂದ ವಕ್ವಾಡಿ ಹೂವಿನಕೆರೆ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ “ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಹೋಮ್ ಫಾರ್ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಸಿಟಿಜನ್ ” ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಣ್ಣು ಹಂಪಲದ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಹರ್ಷ ರಿಫ್ರೆಶಮೆಂಟನ ಮಾಲಿಕರಾದ ಪತ್ತುಮುಡಿ ರಘುರಾಮ ರಾವ್ ಗಿಡ ನೆಟ್ಟು ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಶುಭ ಕೋರಿದರು. ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸನ ಸಭಾಪತಿ ಎಸ್ ಜಯಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಖಜಾಂಜಿ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಪುರಾಣಿಕ, ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಸೀತಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಗಣೇಶ್ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ, ಡಾ.ಸೋನಿ ಡಿ ಕೋಸ್ಟ, ಅನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಬಿ.ಎಂ. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ, ಆಶಾ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 15, 2026: ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ 2026 ರ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯೋಗ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು, ದೈಹಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಸಮತೋಲನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿತು. “ಯೋಗ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯ, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವ ಶಾಂತಿಗಾಗಿ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ದೈವಿಕ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೇನ್ ಮಾರಿಯಾ ಅವರು ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಲಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಯಾನಾ ಡಿ’ಲಿಮಾ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರು ಈ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾಗಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನೋದಯದ ಹರಡುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಮಾನವ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮಿಯಾ ದಾಸ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರು, ಯೋಗಾಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ದಿನಚರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಯೋಗವು ದೈಹಿಕ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮ, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಂತಿಗೆ ಸಮಗ್ರ ವಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಡಯಾನಾ ಲೋಬೊ, ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಲ್ಲಿ ದೈಹಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪಿಕಾ ಅವರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಲಾಪಗಳು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡವು.

ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರು ಯೋಗ ಭಂಗಿಗಳು, ಉಸಿರಾಟದ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ತಂತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಒಳನೋಟವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATED AT MILAGRES COLLEGE OF NURSING

Mangaluru, June 15, 2026: Milagres College of Nursing marked International Yoga Day 2026 with enthusiasm at its College Auditorium, underscoring the significance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being, and inner balance. The event was organised under the theme, “Yoga for Wellness, Wisdom & World Peace.”

The programme began with a prayer seeking divine blessings for the occasion. Dignitaries were then escorted to the stage and formally welcomed. Ms. Jane Maria served as the Master of Ceremony, guiding the proceedings with professionalism and efficiency.

Delivering the welcome address, Mrs. Diana D’Lima greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and guests. She highlighted the increasing relevance of yoga in modern life and encouraged participants to adopt the practice as a pathway to holistic health and well-being.

The event was formally inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolising the spread of knowledge and enlightenment.
  Chief Guest, Mr. Amiya Das, Research Scholar in the Department of Human Consciousness and Yogic Sciences at Mangalore University in his keynote address,   urged students, particularly future healthcare professionals, to incorporate yogic practices into their daily routines and promote healthy lifestyles within their communities. His address emphasised that yoga extends beyond physical exercise and serves as a comprehensive approach to wellness, wisdom, and peace.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Diana Lobo, Principal , stressed the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being among nursing students and healthcare professionals.
 The formal proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Deepika.

Following the formal programme, the Chief Guest conducted a yoga session for students and faculty members. Participants actively engaged in yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, gaining practical insight into the benefits of regular practice.
