ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 27: ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ 8ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ದಿಯಾ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರು ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಿ.ಎಂ. ದಸರಾ ಕಪ್  ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಈಜು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದಿಯಾ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರು 200 ಮೀಟರ್ ಫ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ  ಹಾಗೂ 400 ಮೀಟರ್ ಫ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್ ಮತ್ತು 100 ಮೀಟರ್ ಬಟರ್ ಫ್ಲೈ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕ,50ಮೀ. ಬಟರ್ ಫ್ಲೈ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು , ಒಟ್ಟು 6 ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಿಲೇ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆದ ದಿಯಾ ಅವರು 400 ಮೀಟರ್ ಫ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್ ರಿಲೇ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೆಡ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೇ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಗೆದ್ದ ತಂಡಗಳ ಸದಸ್ಯೆರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಈ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸಾಧನೆಯು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಗರಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿದೆ.ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ, ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗೆ ದಿಯಾ ನಾಯಕ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದಿಯಾ ಅವರ ಈ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ.ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ, ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾರೆಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಪರ್ಣಾ ಸುರೇಶ್, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಗಳು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಪಯಣಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Diya Naik Excels at CM Dasara Cup Divisional-Level Swimming Competition

Mangaluru: Diya Naik, a Class VIII student of St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, delivered an impressive performance at the CM Dasara Cup – Divisional-Level Swimming Competition held in Hassan on September 26, 2026.

Diya secured the gold medal in the 200m Freestyle and silver medals in the 400m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly events. She also won a bronze medal in the 50m Butterfly. In the relay events, she was part of the gold medal-winning teams in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay and Medley Relay.

Her outstanding performance at the divisional-level competition has earned her selection for the State-Level Swimming Competition to be held in Mysuru. The Principal, Rev. Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Vice-Principals Ms Laurel D’Souza and Ms Aparna Suresh, along with the staff and students, congratulated Diya on her  achievement and wished her continued success in her sporting journey.
