ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 29, 2026 ರಂದು ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ 2026 ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು, ಓದು ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ, ಇಂಟರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ NHS ಮತ್ತು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಈ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಓದುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸೇವೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು…
ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಕ್ರಮದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಿ.ಪಿ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ, ಸಂಘಟಕರ ಪರವಾಗಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಪರಿಚಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿದರು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ (ಬಿಇಎಸ್) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ. ಶಾಂತಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್, ಇಂಟರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಎನ್ಎಚ್ಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವಿಕೆಯು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು, ನಂತರ ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದ ಭಟ್ ಅವರ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನೋಟದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಡಾ. ಭಟ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಓದುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶವಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಪುಟಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪ್ರವಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ಅನುಭವ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿದವು.
ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಮೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಹ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮಿತ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವಾದ ಓದುವ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಮಾ ಅವರು ಸಂಘಟಕರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಓದುವ ಆನಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲು ಈ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ಸ್ನ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಿ.ಪಿ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.
ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಣ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಭಾಸ್ಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಸ್ವಿವಿಎನ್ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಿಖಿತಾ ಕೋಟರಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಎಚ್ಎಂ ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಜುಲ್ದಾಸ್ ಕಾಮತ್, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳು.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾರುತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು, ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಓದು, ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳು
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 29 ಮತ್ತು 30 ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಜೋಡಿಸಲಾದ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಘದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ನೆರೆಯ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.
ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯೆಂದರೆ, ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ರಿಯಾಯಿತಿ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ, ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಓದುವ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
ಹನೇಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಬೋಧನಾ ಭ್ರಾತೃತ್ವವು ನೀಡಿದ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದ ಸಹಕಾರವು ಈ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಚೈತನ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಓದುವಿಕೆಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ – ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಲು, ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಪಂಚಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸಲು, ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ತರಗತಿಯ ಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಆಹ್ವಾನ.

A meaningful celebration of books, reading and knowledge unfolded at National High School, Barkur, with the inauguration of the two-day Books Exhibition 2026 on 29 August 2026. The exhibition, organised jointly by National High School, Interact Club of NHS and Sujnana National PU College, aims to cultivate the habit of reading and provide students with an opportunity to explore the fascinating world of books.
The programme commenced at 10.00 a.m. sharp with a prayer service led by the students.
Principal Prakash Acharya, Sujnana National PU College Barkur, extended a warm and cordial welcome to all guests and students…
Mr. G.P. Prabhakara, Sanskrit and English Language Teacher and the driving force behind the initiative, on behalf of the organisers, in his crisp and motivational introductory address set the tone for a memorable celebration of books and learning.
The function was presided over by Mr. B. Shantarama Shetty, President, Barkur Educational Society (BES). In his presidential address, he expressed his appreciation to National High School, the Interact Club of NHS and Sujnana National PU College for joining hands to organise the Books Exhibition and creating a valuable learning opportunity for students.
The traditional lighting of the lamp marked the formal inauguration, followed by an inspiring inaugural address by Dr. Shripada Bhat, which proved to be one of the highlights of the programme. With remarkable clarity and insight, Dr. Bhat spoke about the importance of books and the habit of reading. He beautifully observed that visiting a library is not merely an opportunity to open our minds to knowledge, but an experience comparable to embarking on a world tour through the pages of books. His thought-provoking words captivated the audience.
Dr. Ramesh Shetty, President, Sujnana Educational Trust, Kundapura, appreciated the initiative and opined that such book exhibitions should become a regular annual feature in every educational institution, thereby nurturing a strong reading culture among young minds.
Mrs. Uma, Education Department, Brahmavar, lauded the sincere efforts of the organisers and called upon students to make the best use of the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and experience the joy and pleasure of reading.
Mr. Archibald Furtado, Coordinator, National Group of Educational Institutions, conveyed his best wishes for the success of the exhibition and congratulated Mr. G. P. Prabhakara and his team, including Headmistress Mrs. Hemavathy P. S., for turning the idea into reality.
The dignitaries present on the dais included Mr. Bhaskar Shetty, Principal, Government Degree College, Barkur, and Prof. Prakash Acharya, Principal, Sujnana National PU College.
Mrs Likhita Kotary, Principal of SVVN English Medium High School, Mr Udaya Shetty HM of National Primary School, Management Committee Members Mr Gojuldas Kamath, Media representatives and well-wishers.
Mr. Maruthi, Kannada Teacher, compered the programme meticulously, while Headmistress Mrs. Hemavathy P. S. proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone whose cooperation and support made the initiative possible.
Two Days of Reading, Discovery and Inspiration
The Books Exhibition, being held on 29 and 30 August, features a wide variety of books carefully arranged with the active participation of students. Students and teachers from all educational institutions under the Barkur Educational Society, as well as neighbouring schools, are expected to visit the exhibition.
A special attraction is the opportunity for visitors to purchase a wide range of books at discounted rates, making quality reading material accessible to students and book lovers.
The wholehearted cooperation extended by the teaching fraternity of Hanehalli Primary School, National High School and Sujnana National PU College has added strength and spirit to this meaningful initiative.
More than an exhibition of books, the event is a celebration of reading itself—an invitation to children and young minds to discover new ideas, travel through different worlds, meet unforgettable characters and acquire knowledge beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
