Karwar, April 10, 2023: Episcopal Ordination & Solemn Installation of Msgr. Duming Dias, Bishop Elect of Diocese of Karwar took place on April 9th, at 9am at St. Joseph’s High School Ground, Kodibag Road, Kajubag, Karwar.
His Grace Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Bangalore led the consecration ceremony. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr Derek Fernandes, Bishop of Diocese of Belgaum and His Excellency Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ were the co consecrators.
His Eminence Cardinal Philip Neri Ferrao, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Goa was also witnessed the consecration ceremony.
Rev. Fr Stany D’Souza, Rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga and Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Chancellor of the Diocese of Shimoga presented Bishop Elect Duming Dias.
Rev. Msgr. Alberto Napolitano, from Apostolic Nunciature, India read the Papal bull of appointment in Latin. Chancellor of Diocese of Karwar read the appointment letter in Konkani.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Diocese of Udupi preached a meaningful homily on role of the Bishop and his mission. He invited Clergy and faithful to pray for their Bishop.
His Grace Most Rev. Peter Machado Archbishop of Archdiocese of Bangalore led the consecration ceremony, he anointed the Bishop Duming Dias with Oil, he gave him the ring, Mitre and Staff as the symbol of the Shepherd if the Diocese. Then the new Bishop continued the Holy Eucharist.
A short Felicitation program was held by the Diocese of Karwar for the newly anointed Bishop Duming Dias.
A good number of Bishops, Priests, Religious and Lay faithful witnessed this historic event of the Diocese of Karwar.

ಕಾರವಾರ, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 10, 2023: ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೋಪಲ್ ಆರ್ಡಿನೇಶನ್ ಮತ್ತು Msgr ನ ಗಂಭೀರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ. ಕಾರವಾರದ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಚುನಾಯಿತರಾದ ಡುಮಿಂಗ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಅವರು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 9 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಕಾರವಾರದ ಕಾಜುಬಾಗದ ಕೋಡಿಬಾಗ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಬಿಷಪ್‌ ಡಾ. ಪೀಟರ್ ಮಚಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಮಹಾಮಸ್ತಕಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಡಾ.ಡೆರೆಕ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ.
ಗೋವಾದ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಬಿಷಪ್‌ ಅವರ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕಾರ್ಡಿನಲ್ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ನೇರಿ ಫೆರಾವೊ ಅವರು ಸಹ ಪವಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಸೇಕ್ರೆಡ್ ಹಾರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್‌ನ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಅಲ್ಬುಕರ್ಕ್ ಅವರು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಇಲೆಕ್ಟ್ ಡ್ಯೂಮಿಂಗ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
Rev. Msgr. ಭಾರತದ ಅಪೋಸ್ಟೋಲಿಕ್ ನನ್ಸಿಯೇಚರ್‌ನಿಂದ ಆಲ್ಬರ್ಟೊ ನಪೊಲಿಟಾನೊ, ಲ್ಯಾಟಿನ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪಲ್ ಬುಲ್ ಆಫ್ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು. ಕಾರವಾರ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳು ಕೊಂಕಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪತ್ರ ವಾಚಿಸಿದರು.
ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ.ಜೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಐಸಾಕ್ ಲೋಬೋ ಅವರು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಧ್ಯೇಯೋದ್ದೇಶಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರವಚನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಿಷಪ್ಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಡಯಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಬಿಷಪ್‌ನ ಪೀಟರ್ ಮಚಾಡೊ ಅವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು, ಅವರು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಡುಮಿಂಗ್ ಡಯಾಸ್‌ಗೆ ತೈಲಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಅವರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆ ಕುರುಬನ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಯಾಗಿ ಉಂಗುರ, ಮಿಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಹೊಸ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರವಾರ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಗೊಂಡ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಡುಮಿಂಗ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಿರು ನಮನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಕಾರವಾರ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಬಿಷಪ್‌ಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು.
