ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 6, 2023: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವು ಇಂದು ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮೊಳಕಾಲ್ಮುರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅಶೋಕ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್‌ಜೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 10 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಧರ್ಮಸಭೆಯವರು ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ನಂತರ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.
ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 10:30ಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಅವರು ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರ ಬಳಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಡಯಸಿಸ್‌ನ ವಿಜಿ ಮೊನ್ಸಿಂಜರ್ ಜಯನಾಥನ್ ರಿಬ್ಬನ್ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ನೂತನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಹೋಲಿ ಫ್ಯಾಮಿಲಿ ಡೀನರಿಯ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಭಕ್ತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು.
ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 10.45ಕ್ಕೆ ನೂತನ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಅವರು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ದಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಾಯ್ಸ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ರಿಬ್ಬನ್ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಅನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರು.
ಬಿಷಪ್ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಪುರೋಹಿತರು ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರು ಹೊಸ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ.ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್‌ಜೆ ಅವರು ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಂತಹ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವುದೇ ರಚನೆಗಿಂತ ಹೃದಯವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಜಾನ್ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ 4 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾರ್ಡ್ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿರುವಂತೆ ನಾವು ಆತ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಕು, ಸಮರಿಟನ್ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ. ರಚನೆಯು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ದೇವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮಗೆ ತಂದ ಮೋಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದ ನಂತರ ಅವರು ನೈವೇದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎಣ್ಣೆಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕಮ್ಯುನಿಯನ್ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರು ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಕೀಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ದಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಮೊನ್ಸಿಂಜರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಮಿಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಡಿ’ಕುನ್ಹಾ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಯೋಜನೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಮುಖರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು
ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟ್‌ನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕಿ ಶೀಲಾ ಮಿರಾಂದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಫಾದರ್ ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಫಾದರ್ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಪಿರೇರಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಊಟ ಬಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ ಮೂರು ನಾಗರಿಕ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಅವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ; ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ. ಇದು 19000 ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕರನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಕುರುಬ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಡವರು, ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ಮತ್ತು ದೀನದಲಿತರನ್ನು ತಲುಪುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಬಿಷಪ್‌ರ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕರನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಲು ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Mary Mother of God, New Church inaugurated in the Diocese of Shimoga
Chitradurga, December 6, 2023: Diocese of Shimoga was blessed today with New Church and presbytery at Ashoka Siddhapura, Molakalmuru Taluku, Chitradurga District.
His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao Sj, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga was received by the parishioners at 10am. Then the people welcomed Bishop to their village with traditional way.
At 10:30am Bishop Francis Serrao SJ led the prayer near the newly built presbytery. Monsignor Jayanathan, VG of Archdiocese of Bangalore opened the house by cutting the ribbon. Then Bishop Francis Serrao SJ blessed the new house. Priests, Religious and big number of faithful of Holy Family Deanery as well as parishioners witnessed the event.
At 10:45am Inauguration and blessing of the new Church was held. Everyone gathered at the entrance of the Church. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ initiated the opening prayer. Then donors of the Church Mr. John Joseph and Mrs. Joyce Joseph from Mumbai opened the church by cutting the ribbon.
Together with Bishop, priests and religious faithful entered the new Church. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ led the Holy Eucharist. During the Holy Eucharist he blessed the Cross and Lector stand by receiving the Word of God. In his homily Bishop Francis Serrao SJ stressed the importance of Worship unto God in the Holy Place like Church and he said that much more than any structure heart is more important. We have to worship in the Spirit and Truth as mentioned by the Lord in the John Chapter 4, to samaritan woman. Structure reminds the Presence of Almighty God and the salvation he brought to us through his son Jesus Christ.
After the homily he anointed the Altar with oil and offered the sacrifice. After the Communion Bishop blesses the tabernacle and handed over the key as the Mission Centre Director Fr Stany D’Cunha.
After the Holy Eucharist Bishop felicitated the main donors, Monsignor and Mission Centre Director. Bishop thanked God for his merciful love upon the Diocese of Shimoga. He thanked everyone who contributed to complete the project.

Shimoga Diocese comprises of three civil districts, namely; Shivamogga, Davanagere and Chitradurga. It consists of 19000 catholics. Diocese reaching out to the poor, marginalized and downtrodden through its Pastoral ministry, education ministry, health ministry and social Work ministry. Dedicated Priests and religious together with Bishop serving selflessly to uplift the needy in the Diocese.
