“Believe You Can Be the Best!” – VJ Dixon Inspires Young Talent at St Aloysius Gonzaga School
ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 27: ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಸ್ – ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಗಾಟ್ ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್’ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಿಂದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್ .ಜೆ ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಖ್ಯಾತ ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ನಿರೂಪಕ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ನೃತ್ಯ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿ.ಜೆ. ಡಿಕ್ಸನ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾರೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಪರ್ಣಾ ಸುರೇಶ್, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪಾ ಕರ್ಕಡ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪ್ತಿ ಸಹನಾ ಕರ್ಕಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕ್ಯಾರಲ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್, ಪೋಷಕ-ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೀನಾ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ, ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕ್ವಿನ್ನಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ದಿಥಾನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿ.ಜೆ. ಡಿಕ್ಸನ್ ಅವರು ಶಾಲೆಯು ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ, ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತರು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಛಾಪು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟು, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ದೃಢಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ವಯೋಮಾನದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸೃಜನಾತ್ಮಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನದ ಸಮಾರೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಸಮಾರೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್ಜೆ ಅವರು ವಿಜೇತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ, ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆವಿಟಾ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
‘ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಸ್ – ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಗಾಟ್ ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್’ ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಂತಸದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವುಳ್ಳ ಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಕನಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿತು.

St Aloysius Gonzaga School witnessed a vibrant celebration of creativity, confidence and talent with the inauguration of “Talent Thrillz: Gonzaga Got Talent” on 27 August 2026. The event was organised to provide students from Class I to Class XII with an exciting platform to showcase their diverse abilities.
The programme commenced on 27 August with the inauguration in the presence of Principal Rev. Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Chief Guest Mr VJ Dixon, renowned TV Anchor, National and International host, Choreographer, Vice-Principals Ms Laurel D’Souza and Ms Aparna Suresh, Academic Coordinators Ms Deepa Karkada, Ms Deepthi Sahana Karkada and Ms Carol Rodrigues, Ms Reena Noronha, Vice-President of the Parent-Teacher Executive Committee, Ms Quinni Fernandes, Joint Secretary, and Ms Jevita Fernandes, Event Coordinator. The programme was compered by Dithan Fernandes of Class X.
The highlight of the inaugural session was the inspiring address by Mr VJ Dixon, who spoke about the remarkable legacy of St Aloysius Gonzaga School in nurturing talent. He remarked that the institution had produced individuals who had distinguished themselves not merely at the local level but also on the global stage. Mr Dixon particularly emphasised the importance of self-belief. He encouraged students, and indeed adults, to believe that they could be the best at what they chose to do. Talent, he stressed, flourishes when accompanied by confidence, determination and the courage to step forward. His words struck a positive chord with the audience and set an inspiring tone for the celebrations.
Over the three days, students across different age groups will participate in a range of creative competitions and talent-based activities, with events designed to suit their age and abilities. Each event is carefully planned to provide an opportunity for students to step forward, express themselves and celebrate their individuality.
The celebrations on each day will conclude with the prize-distribution ceremony, where the winners are felicitated, and all participants are applauded for their enthusiastic involvement.
In his concluding remarks, on the first day, Rev. Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students. He shared the positive feedback received from the judges and commended the students for their quality and commitment. He also appreciated the teachers who worked tirelessly to organise the event.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ms Jevita Fernandes, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, judges, teachers, organisers and participants.
“Talent Thrillz: Gonzaga Got Talent” is a celebration of talent, self-belief, courage and the joy of expression, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing confident young individuals and inspiring them to dream, perform and aspire for excellence.
