ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 25, 2026. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಸಂತೆಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆ, ಸೋಮವಾರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 24, 2026 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು. ಬಹಳ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಮಹಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ, ಅನುಕೂಲಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಾಲಾ ಆಡಳಿತದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾ. ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ; ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್, ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸ್ಟ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು; ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಆನ್ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ ರೋಶ್ನಿ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ; ಶಾಲಾ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು; ಪಿಟಿಎ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಹಳೆ ಶಾಲಾ ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಶಾಲೆ, ಅದರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರುವ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರಗತಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳು ನಂತರ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು, ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಇಡೀ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಕಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾ. ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಚಲನಶೀಲತೆಯ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ ವರದಿಗಾರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯು ಈ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಉಪಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಈಗ ಆ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದೆ.
ಹೊಸ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಕೇವಲ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ, ಘನತೆ, ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಅಳವಡಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದ GSJ ಡೆವಲಪರ್ಸ್ನ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶಾಲು, ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಛ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿ ರಿಬ್ಬನ್ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ನಿಜವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ತರಗತಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಂದು ಅಂತರ್ಗತ ಶಾಲೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವೂ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ, ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಆ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಆದರೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಆನ್ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ ರೋಶ್ನಿ ಡಿಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಸಲು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಶಾವಾದದ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು, ಹೊಸ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವು ಮುಂಬರುವ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಶಾಲಾ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಗೊರೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟ್ನ ಸುಪೀರಿಯರ್ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಸಂಗೀತಾ, ಪಿಪಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ, ಚರ್ಚ್ನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸುಂದರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
ಒಂದು ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಮಹಡಿಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಹಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ಈ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್ ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ – ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆ, ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶದ ಸಂದೇಶ.
ಈ ಹೊಸ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವು ಇಡೀ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲಾ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಾಗಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ತಲುಪಬಹುದಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಳಜಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವತ್ತ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಲಿ.

A New Step Towards Inclusive Education: Lift Inaugurated and School Blessed at Mount Rosary English Medium School
Santhekatte, Kallianpur.
24 August 2026. Mount Rosary English Medium School, Santhekatte, Kallianpur, marked a significant milestone on Monday, 24 August 2026, at 9.00 am, with the inauguration of a new lift and the blessing of the school premises. The much-needed facility is a thoughtful and practical addition to the school, particularly benefiting differently abled students and teachers, as well as those who may find it difficult to access the upper floors of the building.
The initiative reflects the vision of the school management to make the campus more accessible, convenient and inclusive for everyone.
The ceremony was attended by Rev. Dr. Roque D’Souza, Parish Priest and Correspondent of the School; Rev. Fr. Rohan Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest; Mr. Baptist Dias, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Headmistress Sr. Ancilla Roshni D’Mello; members of the School Management Committee; PTA office bearers, Alumini Association and the teaching and non-teaching staff.
A short and meaningful prayer service was conducted as part of the ceremony, invoking God’s blessings upon the school, its students, teachers, staff and all those who use its facilities, was led by Rev Fr Rohan Mascarenhas.
The school premises, all the classrooms were subsequently blessed, marking the occasion with faith, gratitude and prayer.
The whole event meticulously led and presented by the students, appreciated by all who attended the event.
In his brief but crispy message Vicar and Correspondent Rev Dr Roque DSouza explained that genuine need for an elevator had been keenly felt for some time. Recognising the practical difficulties faced by students and teachers, especially those with mobility challenges, Correspondent convinced with the proposal and Management realised the importance of providing this essential facility. His initiative and commitment have now transformed that need into a valuable reality.
The new lift is more than simply a modern facility. It represents accessibility, dignity, care and equal opportunity.
Mr Gerald DSouza, Civil Contractor, GSJ Developers, who played a vital role in installation was deservedly honoured with draping of traditional shawl, bouquet and memento, gracefully cut the ribbon to open the Elevator ready for use in the presence of guests and teachers
The inauguration also becomes a reminder that true education extends beyond classrooms and textbooks. An inclusive school is one where every child feels welcomed, respected and enabled to participate fully. The new elevator is a small but significant step in that direction.
Head Mistress Sr Ancilla Roshni DMello expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the facility possible. The occasion concluded in an atmosphere of thanksgiving and optimism, with prayers that the new facility would serve the school community for many years to come.
Among others, Superior of the Goretti Convent Sr Sangeetha, PPC Secretary Ms Priya Furtado, most of Finance Committee Members of the Church, were present to witness the beautiful program.
A lift may carry people from one floor to another, but this lift carries with it something far greater — a message of inclusion, compassion and equal opportunity.
May this new facility be a blessing to the entire Mount Rosary English Medium School family and another step towards building a more accessible and caring educational environment.
