St. Rita English Medium School; Inauguration of various clubs was celebrated with enthusiasm
ಸಂತ ರೀಟಾ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ , ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ , ಪರಿಸರ (ಇಕೋ) , ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲಾ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಜುಲೈ 20, 2026 ರಂದು ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮನಮೋಹಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಏಳನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಲೆನನ್ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನುಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಶ್ರೇಯಾ ಅವರು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಂತ ರೀಟಾ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೆ| ಫಾ.ರಿತೇಶ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ , ಶಾಲಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೆಟಿಲ್ದಾ ಡಿಕೋಸ್ತಾ ,ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ರಕ್ಷಕ ಸಂಘದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪುಷ್ಪಾವತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ತನ್ನ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕವಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾತ್ರಾಭಿನಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿತು. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ರಾಕೆಟ್ ಉಡಾವಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು. ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಪೈಥಾನ್ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಮಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಓಎಂಆರ್ (OMR) ಶೀಟ್ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಗ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರ್ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೈಚಳಕದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು. ಪರಿಸರ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಮರ ನೆಡುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಸವನ್ನು ಕಸದ ಬುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯವರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಎಂಟನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸುಗದಾ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.

The inauguration of the various school clubs of St Rita English Medium School ,Jeppu was held on 20 July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The event marked the beginning of the activities of the Science Club, Literary Club, Eco Club, Computer Club, and Art & Craft Club.
The programme commenced with a prayer by the students, followed by a colourful welcome dance. The guests were warmly welcomed, and the welcome speech was delivered by Master Lennon of class 7th .
The event was compered by Ms. Shreya of class 10th, who conducted the programme smoothly.
The clubs were formally inaugurated by the Joint Secretary Rev.Fr.Rithesh Rodrigues, Headmistress Mrs.Matilda Dcosta, PTA Vice President Mrs. Pushpawati, and the student representatives of the respective clubs.
Each club showcased its activities through impressive demonstrations. The Literary Club presented role plays depicting the lives and contributions of famous English and Kannada poets and writers. The Science Club amazed the audience with a rocket launch and exciting science experiments. The Computer Club demonstrated Python programming and gave a presentation on OMR sheets. The Art & Craft Club displayed beautiful glitter art and creative craft work. The Eco Club staged a meaningful skit highlighting the importance of protecting nature, planting trees, and maintaining cleanliness by collecting waste and disposing of it in dustbins.
In his address, the Joint Secretary emphasized the importance of school clubs in nurturing students’ talents, creativity, leadership qualities, and teamwork. He encouraged every student to participate actively and make the best use of these platforms for their overall development.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms .Sugadha of class 8th followed by the National Anthem. The inauguration was a grand success and inspired students to explore and develop their talents through various club activities.
