MCC Bank Marks 114 Years of Service with Inauguration of 22nd Branch at Deralakatte

1912ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಗಿ 114 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿರುವ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ತನ್ನ 22ನೇ ಶಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನೂತನ ಎಟಿಎಂ ಅನ್ನು ಭಾನುವಾರ, ಜೂನ್ 28ರಂದು ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಫಾ. ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಕಾಂಪ್ಲೆಕ್ಸ್‌ನ ನೆಲ ಮಹಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿತು.

ನೂತನ ಶಾಖೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಸಹಕಾರ ರತ್ನ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಫಾ. ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಹೋಮಿಯೋಪಥಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ನಿಲೇಶ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ಎಟಿಎಂ ಅನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಉರ್ಸುಲಿನ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ಕನ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ಸ್‌ನ ಸುಪೀರಿಯರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ವಂ. ಸಿ. ಮಿಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಸೇಫ್ ರೂಂ ಅನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರೆ, ಫಾ. ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಹೋಮಿಯೋಪಥಿಕ್ ಫಾರ್ಮಾಸ್ಯುಟಿಕಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ (FMHPD) ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ವಂ. ಫಾ. ನೆಲ್ಸನ್ ದೀರಜ್ ಪಾಯ್ಸ್ ಅವರು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಇ-ಸ್ಟಾಂಪ್ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಪಾಣೀರ್‌ನ ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಮರ್ಸಿ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ. ಫಾ. ವಿಕ್ಟರ್ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರು ನೂತನ ಶಾಖೆಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ವಂ. ಸಿ. ಮಿಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಗೌರವ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ರೆವ. ಫಾ. ನಿಲೇಶ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೋಟೆಕಾರ್ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದಿವ್ಯಾ ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಜೂಡ್ ಡಿ’ಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಬಂಧಕ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಮೆನೇಜಸ್ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಅವರು ಸಹಕಾರ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಹಕ ಸೇವೆಯತ್ತ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು. ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆ ಜನತೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಜನರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಈ ಶಾಖೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಕಾಣಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಆರ್‌ಬಿಐ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳ ಅನುಸಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉತ್ತಮ ಹೆಸರು ಗಳಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅರ್ಹ ಠೇವಣಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಡಿಐಸಿಜಿಸಿ (DICGC) ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಮಾ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಆತಂಕವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯವಹರಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಹೊಸ ಶಾಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಶಾಖೆಯೂ ಮೊದಲ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲೇ ₹10 ಕೋಟಿ ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಸಾಧಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ಫಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಶಾಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಇದೆ. ವಿವೇಕಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಣಕಾಸು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕಗಳ ನಿರಂತರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಹಣ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಅನುಮತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಐಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಅವರು, ಉತ್ತಮ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಲು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ನಿರಂತರ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ವಂ. ಫಾ. ವಿಕ್ಟರ್ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ನಡೆದ ಈ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭಕರ ದಿನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆಯಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಅವರು, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಉಡುಪು ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಕಾಣಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

“ಜನಸೇವೆ ಎಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ವಂ. ಸಿ. ಮಿಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆ ಶಾಖೆಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಠೇವಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಲ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಜನರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಉಳಿತಾಯ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಭದ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ರೆವ. ಫಾ. ನಿಲೇಶ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, 146 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಫಾ. ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ 114 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಎರಡೂ ಸೇವೆ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ದೈಹಿಕ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯೇ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಜನರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು.

“ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಜನರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಿ. ಎರಡೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಇದೇ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕೋಟೆಕಾರ್ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ದಿವ್ಯಾ ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ನೂತನ ಶಾಖೆಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಶಾಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ದೇರಳಕಟ್ಟೆ ಭಾಗದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಸಾಧಕರಾದ ಫ್ರ್ಯಾಂಕಿ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ, ಅಲ್ವಿನ್ ಜೆರೋಮ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಫಯಾಝ್ ಮಡೂರು, ಸಿಎ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, ಉಗ್ಗಪ್ಪ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಫಿ ಬಬ್ಬುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿತು.

ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಉರ್ಸುಲಿನ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ಸ್ ವಿಶೇಷ ಚೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ₹1,00,000, ಪ್ರಿನ್ಸಿತಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ₹25,000, ಮರ್ಸಿ ಕೇರ್ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ₹50,000 ಹಾಗೂ ಓಲವಿನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ₹1,00,000 ಧನಸಹಾಯ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ನೂತನ ಶಾಖೆಯ ಒಳಾಂಗಣ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೋಶನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಶೈನಿ ವೀಭಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಿಂದ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಎಂಸಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Marking 114 years of dedicated service since its establishment in 1912, MCC Bank Ltd. inaugurated its 22nd branch and a new ATM at Deralakatte on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The new branch is located on the ground floor of the Fr Muller Complex, Deralakatte.

The new branch was inaugurated by Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd. The ATM was inaugurated and operated by Rev. Fr Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic College, Deralakatte. Rev. Sr Milli Fernandes, Superior General of the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, inaugurated the Safe Room, while Rev. Fr Nelson Deeraj Pais, Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Division (FMHPD), launched the Bank’s E-Stamp facility. Rev. Fr Victor D’Mello, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir, blessed the new branch.

The programme was presided over by Chairman Shri Anil Lobo. Rev. Sr Milli Fernandes attended as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Rev. Fr Nilesh Crasta and Mrs Divya Sathish Shetty, President of Kotekar Gram Panchayat. Vice Chairman Mr Jerald Jude D’Silva and General Manager Mr Sunil Menezes were also present on the dais.

In his presidential address, Chairman Shri Anil Lobo reaffirmed MCC Bank’s commitment to cooperative banking and customer service. Expressing gratitude to the people of Deralakatte for their warm welcome, he said their confidence and support would contribute significantly to the success of the new branch.

He highlighted that MCC Bank has built strong goodwill by prioritizing customer needs while operating strictly under RBI guidelines. He also stated that all eligible deposits are insured through the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC), assuring customers of the safety of their deposits.

Speaking about the Bank’s recent progress, he stated that under the current leadership, five new branches have been opened, with each achieving a business turnover of ₹10 crore within its first year. He attributed this achievement to the dedication of the staff and the trust reposed by customers.

Shri Lobo further said the Bank is planning additional expansion and emphasized that prudent financial management and continuous monitoring of key financial indicators have enabled MCC Bank to safeguard public funds while securing regulatory approvals for growth.

Referring to Deralakatte’s strategic importance, he observed that the presence of reputed educational institutions, hospitals, and IT companies reflects the area’s immense growth potential. He appealed to residents to extend their continued support to the Bank in its mission of delivering quality financial services while contributing to the region’s development.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr Victor D’Mello described the inauguration on a Sunday as a blessed occasion for the Christian community. He prayed for the Bank’s continued growth and prosperity and attributed its success to the trust and confidence of the people. He urged the Bank’s staff to treat every customer with dignity and respect, irrespective of appearance or social status. “Serving people is serving God,” he remarked, encouraging employees to serve with sincerity and compassion. He also expressed hope that MCC Bank would promote communal harmony by providing inclusive banking services to all sections of society.

Chief Guest Rev. Sr Milli Fernandes said the opening of the Deralakatte branch marked another proud milestone in the Bank’s journey of growth. She observed that MCC Bank has earned public trust by mobilizing deposits and extending loans that support individuals, families, and businesses, thereby strengthening the local economy. She noted that the Bank’s savings schemes help families achieve financial independence and security and wished the new branch continued success in serving the people of Deralakatte. She also invoked blessings on the management, staff, customers, and stakeholders.

Congratulating MCC Bank, Rev. Fr Nilesh Crasta said both Father Muller Charitable Institutions, with a 146-year legacy, and MCC Bank, with a 114-year legacy, were founded on the principles of service, trust, and humanity. He stressed the importance of holistic development encompassing physical, mental, emotional, social, economic, and spiritual well-being. Describing banking as an essential pillar of personal and community development, he expressed confidence that MCC Bank would contribute significantly to the economic progress of Deralakatte.

“Banking enables people to meet their broader financial needs. May MCC Bank guide the people of Deralakatte in planning their finances. May both institutions continue to grow in trust and serve with the same commitment,” he said.

Mrs Divya Sathish Shetty congratulated the Chairman, management, and staff on the inauguration of the new branch. She wished the Bank continued expansion across Mangaluru and surrounding regions and appealed to residents to support the institution for its sustained growth and prosperity. She also appreciated the Bank’s initiative to recognize local achievers.

As a part of community engagement, MCC Bank honoured academic achievers of the region and honoured Mr Franky Francis Cutinha, Mr Alwyn Jerome D’Souza, Mr Fayaz Madoor, CA Maxim Fernandes, Mr Uggappa Poojary, and Mr Shafi Babbukatte for their accomplishments in various fields.

The Bank also distributed financial assistance, including ₹1,00,000 to the Ursuline Sisters’ Special School for Differently Abled Children, ₹25,000 towards the education of Ms Princita D’Souza, ₹50,000 to Mercy Care Charitable Trust represented by CA Maxim Fernandes, and ₹1,00,000 to Olavinahalli Ashram.

Engineer Mr Karthik Kiran, who was associated with the interior of the new branch infrastructure, was felicitated.

Mementoes were presented to the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour as tokens of appreciation.

The event featured the Bank Anthem, a prayer song by staff members, and a documentary highlighting MCC Bank’s history and achievements.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs Juliet D’Souza, Branch Manager of the newly inaugurated Deralakatte branch.
