ತಲ್ಲೂರು; ತಾರೀಕು 03/05/2026 ರಂದು ತಲ್ಲೂರು ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಆಸ್ಸಿಸಿ ಚರ್ಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಂದಿರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಂದು ಬೆಳಗಿನ ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಬೆಳ್ಳೆ ಸೆಮಿನರಿಯ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂ। ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೋ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ। ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಜಯರಾಣಿ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಂದಿರಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಎರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೋ ಅವರು ತಾಯಂದಿರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ “ತಾಯಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗದು. ತಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವವನ್ನೇ ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಶಿರ್ವಾದ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಹೆಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗದೆ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಬದುಕಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎರಡು ತಾಯಿಯರ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದಳು. ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ ಹೆರೋದಿಯಾಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ದೂಡಿದಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನಾನಿಕ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದಳು. “ನಾವು ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೊಡ್ಡವರಾದ ನಂತರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವಲಂಬಿತರಾಗದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯತನವೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ತಾಯಂದಿರು ತಮ್ಮ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಮನರಂಜನಾ ಕರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧ ರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ತಾಯಿ ಕ್ಷಮೆಯಾಧಾರಿತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ತಾನು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಕೇಳುವವಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವವಳು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರನ್ನಾಗಿಸಲು ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಯರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಿಲ್ವಿಯಾ ಸುವಾರಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವೈಖರಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ಧರ್ಮ ಭಗಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ, ಹಿರಿಯ ತಾಯಂದಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಶಾಲು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ, ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಧರ್ಮ ಭಗಿನಿಯರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು. ಮಹಾ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಿಲ್ಮಾ ಅಂದ್ರಾದೆ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ನೀರ್ಮಲ ಮಿನೇಜಸ್ ವರದಿ ವಾಚಿಸಿದರು. ವಲಯದ ಉಪ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಸಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸವಿತಾ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ ಅವರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೀನಾ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೀತಾ ಮೆಂಡೊನ್ಸಾ ವಿವಿಧ ಮನರಂಜನಾ ಆಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಯಾನ ಮಿನೇಜಸ್ ಕರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಒಟ್ಟು 147 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಾಯಂದಿರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸಹಭೋಜನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.
Mother’s Day Celebration by Aradhya women (Tallur Parish) Association
Tallur; On 03/05/2026, Mother’s Day was celebrated at St. Francis Assisi Church, Tallur, in collaboration with the Women’s Commission.
The Holy Mass in the morning was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo, Spiritual Director of Moodubelle Seminary, as the main celebrant. He was assisted by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza.
After the Mass, a special program for mothers was organized at the auditorium of Jaya Rani English Medium School.
During the program, Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo addressed the gathering and said that the word “mother” is beyond value. A mother sacrifices her life to nurture and protect her children. Wherever she is, she always wishes good for her children, speaks kindly about them, and blesses them. He emphasized that women should support one another instead of becoming enemies.
He cited examples of two types of mothers from the Holy Scriptures: Mother Mary, who sacrificed for her son, and Herodias, who led her daughter into wrongdoing for selfish reasons and encouraged the beheading of John the Baptist. He urged mothers to guide their children on the right path like Mother Mary and to remain self-reliant even in later life. He concluded by saying that goodness always protects us.
The mothers expressed the significance of their day through various entertainment programs.
Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza, Parish Priest, also spoke on the occasion. He said that a mother is a symbol of forgiveness—one who seeks forgiveness for her mistakes and forgives others. Children learn everything from their parents; therefore, if parents are good, children will also grow into good individuals.
Mrs. Sylvia Suvaris, Central President of the Women’s Association, was present and appreciated the activities of the organization. The Parish Priest honored religious sisters, elderly mothers, and a pregnant woman by presenting shawls.
The Vice President, Secretary of the Parish Council, coordinators of 20 commissions, and religious sisters were present for the program.
Mrs. Wilma Andrade, President of the Association, welcomed the gathering. Secretary Nirmala Menezes presented the report, and Mrs. Savita Mendonsa, Assistant Secretary of the Deanery, proposed the vote of thanks.
Mrs. Reena Mendonsa and Mrs. Neetha Mendonsa conducted fun games for the mothers. The program was compered by Mrs. Diana Menezes.
More than 147 mothers participated in the program. The celebration concluded successfully with a fellowship meal.
