ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಕಲ್ಲಿಯಾನ್ಪುರದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕೋಶ ಮತ್ತು POSH ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೋಶ (IQAC) ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10, 2026 ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 2:30 ಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ AV ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ. ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾದ ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಡಾ.ವಿದ್ಯಾಶ್ರೀ ಜಿ.ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ಕಸ್ತೂರಬಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತಾನೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಔಷಧ ಮತ್ತು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು. ತನ್ನ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ನ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು, ಕಾರಣಗಳು, ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ಅನೇಕ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತದೆ ಆದರೆ ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮಾಡದೆ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ತೀವ್ರವಾದ ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ನೋವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂತಾನೋತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಕಸ್ತೂರ್ಬಾ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ನ ಪಿಜಿ ವೈದ್ಯರು ಎಂಡೊಮೆಟ್ರಿಯೊಸಿಸ್ ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದಾಗ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿತು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ರೋಗಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು, ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯುವತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನೀಡುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವೇಳೆ ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲಿ ಮಥೈಸ್, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸೆಲ್ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೇಖಾ ಯು., ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿನಂದನ್ ಭಟ್ (ಪಿಆರ್ಒ), ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಾಧಿಕಾ ಪಾಟ್ಕರ್, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಚೈತ್ರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Milagres College Kallianpur – Awareness Programme on Endometriosis

The Women Cell and POSH Committee of Milagres College Kallianpur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an Awareness Programme on Endometriosis on March 10, 2026, at 2:30 PM in the AV Room of the college. The programme was conducted in connection with Endometriosis Awareness Month observed in March, with the objective of creating awareness among girl students about menstrual health and related medical conditions.

The resource person for the programme was Dr. Vidyashree G. Poojari, Associate Professor, Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Kasturba Hospital Manipal. In her informative session, she explained the symptoms, causes, diagnosis, and long-term impact of endometriosis, a condition that affects many women but often remains undiagnosed. She emphasized that severe menstrual pain should not be ignored and highlighted the importance of early medical consultation for proper diagnosis and treatment. She also stressed the need for awareness, a healthy lifestyle, and timely medical care in managing reproductive health issues.

Adding to the awareness initiative, PG doctors from Kasturba Medical College Manipal presented an informative skit on endometriosis, which effectively created awareness among the students. The programme encouraged students to openly discuss menstrual health and seek medical advice when necessary.

Students actively participated in the interactive session and clarified their doubts during the question-and-answer segment. The programme aimed to promote early recognition of symptoms, encourage timely medical consultation, and empower young women to make informed health decisions.

During the programme, IQAC Coordinator Mrs. Shyley Mathais, Women Cell Convener Mrs. Rekha U., Mr. Ravinandan Bhat (PRO), Mrs. Radhika Patkar, Mrs. Chaithra from the Department of Commerce, and administrative staff members were present.
