ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿ, ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಕ್ಯಾಟೆಕಿಸಂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್‌ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಣೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿದಾನವನ್ನು ವಿಕಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದರ್ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಡಾ. ರೋಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು, ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅರ್ಪಣೆ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಮೇಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸಂಘಟಿತ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ತಂದರು.

ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವಿನಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ವರ್ಷವಿಡೀ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ, ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಪೋಷಕರ ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9.30 ಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿಲೇನಿಯಂ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಾಢವಾಗಿಸಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಫಾದರ್ ರೋಹನ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನ್ಹಸ್ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸ್ಟ್ ಡಯಾಸ್ (ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು), ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ (ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ), ಶ್ರೀ ವಲೇರಿಯನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, 20 ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ, ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಅನ್ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ ರೋಶ್ನಿ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ ಅವರು ಅರ್ಹ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು – ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂತರ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ನೈತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೈಬಲ್ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ನೃತ್ಯಗಳು. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ಯಾಟೆಕಿಸಂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರು. ಈ ಯುವ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷಿಯನ್ನರು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ಭಗವಂತನಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಐಸ್ ಕ್ರೀಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಹಾರಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.

The Annual Catechism Day was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm and joy at Mount Rosary Church, bringing together the catechism children of both Primary and High School sections in a vibrant expression of faith and fellowship.

The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 8.00 am, with the children actively leading the liturgy of the day in a prayerful and meaningful manner.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by the Vicar and Parish Priest, Rev Dr Roque DSouza, who delivered an inspiring and insightful homily, encouraging the young minds to grow in faith, values and commitment to Christ.

Prior to the Holy Mass, the children devoutly participated in the Stations of the Cross, preparing their hearts spiritually for the celebration. During the offertory procession, they reverently brought symbolic gifts in a colourful and well-organised procession, reflecting their gratitude and love for God.

At the conclusion of the Mass, the Parish Priest expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Convenor Mrs Lavina D’Souza and all catechism teachers for their dedication, sacrifice and tireless efforts throughout the year. He also thanked the parents for their constant support and encouragement, and congratulated the children for their active participation and enthusiasm in catechetical activities.

A lively stage programme followed, at 9.30 am, in the Millennium Auditorium, providing a platform for the children to showcase their talents and deepen their love for religion. The programme was presided over by Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Rohan Mascarenhas. Mr Baptist Dias (Vice President), Mrs Priya Furtado (Secretary), Mr Valerian Fernandes (Convenor of the 20 Pastoral Commissions), along with Sr Ancilla Roshni D’Mello, Headmistress of Mount Rosary English Medium High School, distributed prizes to the deserving students.
The audience was delighted by a variety of performances — children dressed in the attire of different Saints, meaningful skits conveying moral and Biblical messages, and graceful dances expressing faith and devotion. The catechism teachers deserve special commendation for training the children to near perfection. Parents and parishioners wholeheartedly applauded the impressive performances of these young and vibrant participants.
The joyous celebration concluded on a sweet note with ice cream and refreshments for all, as the parish community thanked the Almighty Lord for a grace-filled and successful Catechism Day.
Indeed, it was a day that strengthened faith, nurtured talents and fostered unity within the parish family.
