St Aloysius Gonzaga School Organises ‘Jyothi Pradaan’
ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 10ನೇ ಮತ್ತು 12ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ವಿದಾಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ‘ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು “ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ದೀಪ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಉಪಕುಲಪತಿ ವಂ.ಫಾ. ಡಾ. ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಮಾರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಎಸ್ ಜೆ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಸ್ಯೂಟ್ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ವಂ.ಫಾ. ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ ಎಸ್ ಜೆ ಅವರು ನಿಜವಾದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ, ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ’ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಭಿಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕರುಣೆಯ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ನ್ಯಷಾ ಶ್ರೋಮಿತ್ ಕಾಮತ್ ಮತ್ತು 12ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಜೆನ್ಸನ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ ಅವರು ಹೊರಹೋಗುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ನೆನಪುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಪೋಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡೇಚಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಹನ ಮಾರ್ಗರೇಟ್ ಅವರು ಶಾಲಾ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕ ಸ್ವಿತಿನ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಿಯಾ ಜೆಸಿಕಾ ರೇಗೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸುವ ಸಂಕೇತಾತ್ಮಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಯಿತು.

Managluru; St Aloysius Gonzaga School solemnly organised “Jyothi Pradaan” ceremony at Loyola Hall to honour and bid farewell to the outgoing students of Classes X and XII. The meaningful programme with a theme “Beacon of Hope” marked an important milestone in the students’ academic journey and was filled with reflection, gratitude, and hope. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Vice Chancellor of St Aloysius University, Mangaluru. Rev. Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector, presided over the function, while Rev. Fr Rohan D’Almeida, Principal, welcomed the gathering. In his address, Rev. Dr Martis encouraged students to dream big and live by Jesuit values. Rev. Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto reminded them that true growth comes with responsibility, respect for parents, faith, and service to humanity. In his welcome, Principal, Rev. Fr Rohan D’Almeida reminded the students to remain true to the school motto by living lives of discipline, faith, and compassion.
The programme began with solemn entry of the valedictorians, school anthem, and a prayer service. Nysha Shromith Kamath (Class X) and Melvon Jenson Pereira (Class XII) spoke on behalf of the outgoing students, sharing memories and gratitude. Parents Ms Dechamma and Ms Sahana Margaret expressed their appreciation to the management and teachers. The outgoing head-boy Master Swithin handed over the responsibilities to the newly elected head-girl Ms Rhea Jessica Rego. The ceremony concluded with the symbolic lighting and handing over of diyas, signifying the spreading of knowledge and light.
