ಮೈಸೂರು; ಮೈಸೂರು ಡಯೋಸಿಸನ್ ಕಮಿಷನ್ ಫಾರ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಅಂಡ್ ದಿ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13, 2025 ರಂದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬನ್ನಿಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ನ ಓಪನ್ ಏರ್ ಸ್ಟೇಜ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು, ಇದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಚೈತನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ – ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಘನತೆ. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂ. ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಎಸ್ಜೆ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಮೆರಿಟಸ್ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂ. ಡಾ. ಥಾಮಸ್ ಆಂಟನಿ ವಾಜಪಿಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಲೆ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಪುರೋಹಿತರು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕರು, ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು, ಪೋಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು, ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಲೆ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವೂ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಅನನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಗುವೂ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದುದು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರು ಸ್ವತಃ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಗೆ ನಿಜವಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಮಸ್ ಸಂದೇಶ ಎಂದು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.

The Mysore Diocesan Commission for Health and the Specially Abled organized a joyful Christmas celebration for special children on 13 December 2025 at the Open Air Stage, St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, Bannimantap, Mysore, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas—love, inclusion, and dignity for every child. The programme was graced by the presence of Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Mysore, Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Emeritus Bishop of Mysore, Mrs. Estelle D’Souza, Regional Secretary, along with priests, religious, volunteers, parents, and well-wishers.
The celebration featured prayer services and vibrant cultural performances by special children and participating schools, showcasing their talents and God-given gifts. In her Christmas message, Mrs. Estelle D’Souza affirmed that every child is uniquely created by God, encouraging them to believe in their strength, purpose, and inner light, and reminding them that they are deeply loved and never alone. Echoing this message, Bishop Francis emphasized that every child is precious in God’s eyes and highlighted that special children and their parents themselves are the true Christmas message to humanity.
The programme concluded with prize distribution, Christmas gifts, and refreshments, spreading joy and smiles all around. The celebration stood as a moving reminder that Christmas truly belongs to God’s own children, where love is shared, hope is renewed, and every life is celebrated.
