ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 27, 2025 ರಂದು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟ (AICUF) ದೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 3:30 ಕ್ಕೆ AV ಹಾಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಹೊಸ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಧ್ಯೇಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್ನ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಕಾರ್ಡೋಜ ಅವರು AICUF ನ ಮೂಲ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. AICUF ಎರಡು ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು: ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆ. ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಕಾರ್ಡೋಜ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಕೊಳೆಗೇರಿ ಭೇಟಿಗಳು, ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಭಿಯಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಅಭಿಯಾನಗಳಂತಹ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಆಳ್ವಾ ಅವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು “ಮತಾಂತರ”ದ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಡಾ. ಆಳ್ವಾ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಮತಾಂತರವು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಕ್ಕೆ, ತಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಸರಿಗೆ, ಬಡವರಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಶಿಕ್ಷಿತರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತರಿಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು, ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ 45 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವ ತಮ್ಮ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಡಾ. ಆಳ್ವಾ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಬಲವಾದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅಡಿಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲೆಟ್ ಮಥಾಯಿಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಐಸಿಯುಎಫ್ ಆನಿಮೇಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಮೃತಾ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಬಲವಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಎಮ್ಸಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸೋನಿಕಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿಸಿಎ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಯಲ್ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು, ಆದರೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಲಿಶಾ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು AICUF ಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿತು.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, AICUF ಇನಿಶಿಯೇಷನ್ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು, ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿ ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಂದು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು.
AICU (All India Catholic University Federation) Initiation Program at Milagres College
The All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) Initiation Program was successfully held at Milagres College in Kallianpur on October 27, 2025. The program, which took place in the AV Hall at 3:30 p.m., was attended by students and faculty members. The event aimed to introduce new volunteers to the organization’s mission and values, emphasizing the importance of leadership and community service.
During the inauguration ceremony, Rev. Fr. Pradeep Cardoza, Assistant Priest of Milagres Cathedral, delivered a keynote address, highlighting the core values of AICUF. He stressed that AICUF is built on two fundamental pillars: leadership and community service. Rev. Fr. Cardoza encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in slum visits, rural outreach programs, and awareness campaigns to promote education and combat social evils. He also emphasized the significance of community activities, such as cleaning drives, to foster a sense of social responsibility among the volunteers.
Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of Milagres College, delivered the presidential address, where he emphasized the concept of “convertism.” According to Dr. Alva, convertism involves transforming individuals from bad to good, wrong to right, poor to rich, and uneducated to educated. He also highlighted the importance of prayer in personal and community development, sharing his personal habit of praying daily for 45 minutes. Dr. Alva encouraged the volunteers to cultivate a strong spiritual foundation and to strive for excellence in their endeavors.
The program featured a strong faculty presence, including Mrs. Shylet Mathais, IQAC Coordinator, and Mrs. Amritha, AICUF animator. The event was smoothly conducted by Ms. Sonica Dsouza, a final-year B.Com student, who served as the program’s emcee. Mr. Joel, a final-year BCA student, welcomed the dignitaries, while Ms. Alisha Fernandes, a final-year B.Com student, proposed a vote of thanks. The program concluded with the AICUF anthem, leaving a lasting impact on the volunteers and setting the tone for their future endeavors in community service and leadership development.
Overall, the AICUF Initiation Program was a resounding success, inspiring the volunteers to embody the values of leadership and community service. The program served as a platform for the volunteers to come together and commit themselves to the noble cause of serving others.
